𝚂𝚎𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚖𝚋𝚎𝚛 9 2022
I created a group chat with all the brothers but Mammon so we could plan for his birthday "Mammon's birthday is tomorrow! I already have the entire day planned and would just like to brief all of you on it so you can help him be in the right place" I excitedly sent the first message but the others seemed less excited "oh right I guess it is coming up, I almost forgot" Satan said, the others agreeing with him shortly after "Ignoring that! Asmo, I'd love it if you could take him shopping for a nice outfit for tomorrow, also where's Belphie I need him" I asked, trying to rush through explaining everything knowing Mammon was soon to inevitably bust into my room "He's taking a nap in the attic, I could go try and wake him if you want" Beel responded "Yes please, just try to be as gentle as possible I need him in a good mood for this" I said, the next few moments I sat there awaiting an annoyed response from Belphie or Beel saying he couldn't wake him "Beel said you needed my help?" Belphie soon responded allowing me to let out a sigh of relief "Good! You're here! I'd love it if you could help get Mammon to sleep a little earlier tonight, I don't want him to be tired on his birthday" I asked "I can try" Belphie responded with much hesitation "Thank you!" I responded, happy that at least that was dealt with.
"Alright, so the plans for tomorrow: Making his favorite food for breakfast, then well be going to a casino until lunch which then we'll be having tea made specially by Barbatos, and then to top it all off we'll be having a party at the demon Lords castle! Once we leave after lunch, Lucifer and Beel I want you to go help Diavolo with setting up the part decorations, Barbatos, Luke, and Simeon will be making food in the kitchen so Belphie I want you to be there so Beel doesn't eat all of the food, Satan I want you to distract Solomon so he stays away from the kitchen, and lastly Levi and Asmo I want you two to distract him so he stays in the House of Lamentation" I explain, already getting giddy at the thought of all of it "I can't help. I'm gonna be playing games all day so I don't have to deal with him" Levi said, I already knew that there were going to be a few hiccups but one I will not allow is his brother's outwardly avoiding him on his birthday "Leviathan. You currently have all morning to yourself, if you keep complaining I will make sure you spend every second of tomorrow with him" I said, normally I'd let Levi be a hermit but after planning out the entire day for weeks I was bit going to let anyone ruin it.
"And what will you be doing while we're distracting him?" Asmo asked "You will have to wait until tomorrow to find out" I responded, not wanting to risk him spoiling my surprise "ooh are you preparing something scandalous?!" He asked and I softly laughed to myself "I said you'll have to wait and see" I said even though I knew he would be thinking the exact opposite of what I'm actually going to do "Isn't this a bit much for... Mammon" Lucifer finally spoke up "No! He deserves this after all the shit you guys put him through, that is actually one of the rules I have set for tomorrow: no bullying him" I say immediately getting upset responses "You cannot be serious, that's a bit far for just one birthday" Asmo responded "I am being entirely serious! No being a dick to him just because you get a kick out of it, if I find out anyone made him feel bad or cry there will be severe consequences. Does everyone understand their jobs?" I asked and everyone responded with a nodding sticker and I began working on a list of gifts I wanted to get him, each one being something he said he wanted or things I knew he'd like, constantly checking our messages for specific things he wanted.
As I was working on the list my door quickly opened to reveal Mammon making me quickly close my D.D.D "Hey human! What were you just doing? Were ya talkin' to someone?" Mammon said, immediately jumping to conclusions and getting jealous "No, I wasn't doing anything don't worry about it" I said with a smile, he seemed hesitant to believe me but moved past it "Are ya comin' shopping with me and Asmo?" He asked and I knew that way I'd be able to find more things to get for him but I also knew that I still had a lot of others things to plan for "Sure, why not" I said, knowing he'd pout if I said no "Let's go then" he said, barely allowing me to put my shoes on before he dragged me out the door.
Soon the three of us were wandering the racks of Majolish looking for the perfect outfit, Asmo kept suggesting outfits that were way to risque for a birthday party and then I found one that was perfect, it was more formal than what he normally wore but not too much to the point it would be uncomfortable for him "Hey, you should try this on" I said while handing the clothes to him and he grumbled slightly as he added it to the pile of ones Asmo was handing him, but eventually he was in the changing room with me and Asmo sitting on the seats in front of it "Who's outfit do you think he's gonna pick? You only put in one so I'm sure he'll choose mine" Asmo said while we patiently waited for Mammon to come out.
Two against one, me and Mammon were able to veto the more revealing ones which concerned me since Mammon wouldn't even walk out in a few of the outfits and soon he walked out in my outfit, one that made me fall in love with him all over again, he was gorgeous I could definitely see why he was a model, to me he was the prettiest demon in the devildom "Too much coverage" Asmo said with his arms crossed and I lightly shoved him "I think you look great" I softly say and as Mammon looked at me his face flushed "I want this one" he said and Asmo looked offended as he walked back into the changing room to return to his own clothes "That's not fair! You assigned me this job and he chose your outfit!" Asmo whisper yelled at me and I softly laughed, and soon Mammon returned and we went to pay for the outfit, but Asmo got distracted once he saw an outfit and immediately brought it over to me "You should try on some outfits too!" Asmo said and I sighed with a slight smile knowing we'd be there for a while.
After several rounds of dress up we were on our way back to the house of lamentation carrying several outfits for all of us, as I was putting my clothes away I felt a presence behind me "Are ya okay?" Mammon asked, it was unusual for him to ask anything of the sort so it confused me a little "yeah, why do you ask" I question as I turned to look at him, he seemed embarrassed to be asking and wouldn't look at me "You've been... Off all day, were you talking to someone earlier?" He asked as I walked closer to him "Nope, just working on a little something" I said as I grabbed his hand and that's when his eyes finally met mine "I want to spend tomorrow with you" he softly said as his eyes lingered a little longer than normal on my lips "You'll get your time with me, don't worry" I said before leaning in to gently kiss him as he placed a hand on my cheek to hold me closer, and after a few seconds I was the one to pull away "Is this your way of trying to get out of making dinner" I asked with a smile and he just laughed.
Dinner was as normal as it ever is and it was surprisingly easy to get Mammon to sleep and once he was I was able to continue working on the list of gifts making sure I also included where I could get them so I wasn't wandering aimlessly once I was actually shopping, and as I was laying down to go to sleep a new message came though the group chat I made "I'm not sure how much I like Mammon spending half the day alone with MC, I'm going to make a protective pendant so he can't do anything" Satan said "Yeah! Who knows what he will try to get away with since it's his birthday" Asmo said, I knew they were all jealous of how close I was to Mammon but I thought they knew him better to know that he won't do anything "No, you're not making anything because he's not going to do anything, I'm disappointed that you think he would" I said and turned off my phone.

I woke up a littler earlier than usual and when I got up I found that only Lucifer and Satan were awake, Satan glaring at Lucifer as he just tried to drink his coffee "I didn't think I woke up that early" I said with a slight laugh as I walked into the kitchen to do exactly as I planned, as I was making breakfast Beel and Asmo had woken up and came out of their rooms, Belphie just moved where he was sleeping, once everyone else had gotten their food I went to wake the others "Hey, Levi! It's time to get up, I made breakfast" I said while knocking on his door and peeking my head in which only made me question how a bathtub is at all comfortable to sleep in especially for someone as tall as him "Yeah yeah, I'll be up in a minute" he groaned as he sat up and I shut the door and left allowing him to get ready by himself.
I gently knock on Mammons door before walking in and over to his bed, he looked so comfortable and peaceful sleeping but I had way too much planned for him to just miss it "Hey, Mammon it's time to wake up" I said as I placed and hand on his cheek "I made breakfast" I said while gently rubbing my thumb over his cheek bone "Mornin'" he softly said as he stirred awake "Happy birthday Mammon" I said and he smiled while sitting up "Best way to wake up" he said as he pulled me into his lap and buried his face the crook of my neck "Beel is gonna eat your breakfast if you stay in bed much longer" I said while gently running my fingers though his hair and he just hummed softly in response but eventually let me go so he could get ready.
During breakfast he got a happy birthday from each of his brothers and once we had eaten, me and Mammon were off wandering the streets of the devildom "So what do you want to do today" as asked as I held his hand "Let's hit the casino, I want to show off my gambling expertise" he said with a smile as I laughed softly "How did I know that's where you'd wanna go" I said, as we were walking there Mammon got a call and just a look at who it was made his smile disappear "Who is it" I ask as I look over at his screen "It's the witches" he said with a sigh as his voice turned solemn, and as he was about to answer it I grabbed it and answered it "Hello! Who am I speaking t?o" I cheerfully ask, knowing that whoever this is has never met me before "I need to speak to Mammon" they said "I'm sorry, I think you might've dialed the wrong number" I said and they didn't seem too happy with that answer "No, this is the right one" they said "I just changed my number recently so whoever you're trying to reach must've done the same. I apologize for the inconvenience, goodbye" I say, not once dropping my facade before hanging up and handing the phone back to Mammon who was standing there flabbergasted as he watched me.
"Let's get going now" I said while grabbing onto his hand again "Okay" he softly said, trying to recover from the confusion as we walked into his favorite casino and once we got inside it turned into me watching him play and occasionally asking questions about what the rules were for the card games, I was constantly checking the time for when we were supposed to be at the demon Lords castle and when we had around ten minutes to get there I leaned in closer to Mammon as he was in the middle of some card game I couldn't remember the name of "Try to finish up, I wanna be out of here in five" I said and he looked up at me with a smile "Got it" he said before returning to his game "One of the seven most powerful demons in the Devildom is letting a human boss him around, wow I thought you were better than that Mammon" one of the demons he was playing cards with commented and I quickly take a glance at Mammon, he looked pissed.
Not even five minutes later Mammon had quickly ended the game by wiping the floor with them before returning to my side "You did great" I said as I put my hands up for a high five which got happily reciprocated and as we left he held onto my hand a little tighter than usual "They really pissed you off didn't they" I said with a slight laugh as one kissed the back of his hand "No one talks about the great Mammon's human like that" he says while pulling me closer to him "Since I won why don't I take ya out for lunch and buy ya something real nice" he says and I shake my head "Nope, not allowed. You're not allowed to spend any Grimm on me for your birthday. I know exactly where to go for lunch" I said and began leading him towards the demon Lords castle and once he realized where we were going he faltered "Is it really okay to have such a casual lunch at the demon Lords castle?" He ask and I just looked back at him with a smile before pulling him gently so he caught up "it's your birthday, of course it's okay" I said.
Barbatos greeted us with a bow as we got to the door "Welcome, everything is already set up" Barbatos said as he opened the door to allow us inside "Is this seriously what you were planning earlier" he asked in a whisper as barbatos led us to a table already set with pastries and small sandwiches "Maybe" I say with a soft laugh as barbatos came over with the tea before pouring us some tea "I got ahold of some special sort of tea leaves that supposedly act similar to demonus and I thought now would be the best time to test that" Barbatos said and I looked up at him slightly panicked because I had not planned for Mammon to be at all tipsy but he just gave me a reassuring nod, silently telling me things would be okay "Thanks Barbatos" Mammon said with a grin as he took a sip of his tea.
Barbatos left the room allowing the two of us to be alone and Mammon gently rested his hand on my knee "Do ya think what barbatos said is true, about it working like demonus or something" Mammon asked as he took a few more sips of his tea and I responded with a laugh as I took a sip of mine before placing my hand on his "with how you're gripping my leg I'd assume yes" I say as we then heard footsteps approaching us from behind "Barbatos told me you two weeks enjoying some new tea he sourced" Lord Diavolo said and Mammon turned to him with a grin "Yeah! It's got the same effect as demonus, it's great" Mammon said and I softly laugh at how he was already tipsy "Works pretty fast too" I say as I slide Mammons hand back to my knee "I hope you two don't mind if I join you" Diavolo said as he stepped towards the other side of the table "I don't mind" I said, much to Mammons dismay but I knew diavolo was most likely just checking in for Lucifer "Wonderful" Diavolo said with a smile and within a few minutes Barbatos had gotten him a chair and poured him a cup of tea.
Mammon then went on about our morning and what happened at the casino as I felt a buzzing in my pocket as I got a message "Mammon is drinking? Will that effect your plans?" The message from Lucifer read and I took a few minutes to respond as I watched Mammon "Barbatos doesn't think it will so I wouldn't worry, we're almost done here so he should have plenty time to sober up before the party" I responded "understood, we'll be leaving soon then" Lucifer said and before I could respond I noticed Mammon looking at my D.D.D so I quickly turned it off "Who were ya talkin' to" Mammon asked, getting defensive as he tried to turn my D.D.D back on "It was just Lucifer checking in, don't worry" I said.
After another few minutes we had finished our tea and had eaten our fill I gently squeezed Mammons hand before standing up "I think we should get going now" I said and Mammon looked up at me confused "Now?" He asked and I quickly nodded and he got up, not questioning why I was so adamant on leaving "Sorry for not saying long" I said with an apologetic smile "It's alright, I hope to see you soon" Diavolo said and I nod before Barbatos escorted us outside "Let's head back to the House of Lamentation to get you some water" I say with a soft laugh and Mammon just grumbles "I'm fine, I'm completely sober" he said while sticking his hands in his pockets "Sure" I say while continuing to walk back and as soon as we got inside we noticed that it was mostly empty, I then got him a glass of water and as the two of us were talking the the kitchen Levi came in and grabbed my hand and began dragging me off "Hey! Hey! Just what do ya think you're doin'" he said as he followed the two of us as Levi pulled me into his room "You missed game night last night, so you have to make up for it now" he said as he shoved a controller in my hand "No! We still have the rest of the day to spend together, there's no way you're taking then now" Mammon said as he tried it take the controller "C'mon, let's stay for a few rounds I'm sure it won't take long" I said softly and Mammon scowled "It's Levi, you're gonna be here all night at least" Mammon said as he yet again tried to get the controller out of my hand "Please" I simply say and he folds, immediately letting go of my hands.
After a round or two of me and Levi playing together I hand the controller to Mammon who had been sitting behind us, occasionally giving a comment on how were apparently doing it wrong "You should play for a bit" I said and he sighed and took the controller, halfway through I stood up and began leaving "Where ya goin" Mammon asked as I was halfway out the door "I'm just gonna go get us some snacks" I said and left, heading outside to go shopping, thankful I had written down where or else I'd be lost on where to go but even that wasn't enough because not even halfway through the list I got a message from Mammon "Where'd ya go?" He asks and I began panicking, knowing that everything would get ruined if he came to find me "I had to head out for something I'll be back soon don't worry" I quickly responded trying to get him to stay "No where are you I'll come get you it's not safe for you to wander in the Devildom alone" he said and I quickly messaged Asmo 'SOS' since the plan with Levi clearly wasn't working "No, it's really okay, I'm almost home" I said and he went quiet for a bit "Fine, Asmo is insisting on doing my hair so if you're not home after that I'll come get you" he said and that's when I also got a message from Asmo "You could've told me when you got back! I was in the bath" Asmo said and I quickly apologized before getting back to my shopping.
One of the gifts was a custom piece that was taking way longer than I liked, I was able to get and wrap all the other gifts before it was done which was really making me nervous as I kept getting messages from the others wondering what was taking so long, but I eventually got it and was only able to change before having to leave, I had planned everything perfectly, the outfit I chose for myself was similar to Mammons and had accents of yellow because of how much he said he loves seeing me in yellow, something about it being his color.
I thankfully got to the party before the group with Mammon only thanks to the fact that they kept taking the long way and getting purposefully distracted and by the time they got outside he was audibly groaning but when he got inside and saw the decorations his expression changed to one of awe, the decorations were spectacular in surprise Lucifer, Beel, and Diavolo were able to get them set up in such a short time period but I'm guessing it was mainly because of Barbatos, there was a table full of all the gifts from the guests and next to that was a smaller table filled with my gifts and as he looked around in awe he spotted me and quickly rushed over "So this is where you've been" he says as he pulled me into a hug "Actually I got here not long before you" I said and he pulled away from the hug "So this is what you were working on" he said wide eyed, surprised at how I pulled it off "yep, it took a lot of planning but I know you well enough that there weren't too many hiccups" I said with a smile "There's actually one gift I want to give you before all the other" I said before grabbing a small box from a table that I was hiding.
I hand him the box and he hesitantly opened it to reveal a jewelry set "That's why I was gone so long, I wasn't able to wrap it like I was the others" I said, the box included a gold pendant necklace that had the number one of one side and then our pact mark on the other, two gold band bracelets that had both if our names and the date of our anniversary on the inside, and a ring with small yellow diamonds decorating it "The ring... Isn't it a human tradition to exchange ring as a... Romance thing" Mammon said as his face turned a light shade of red as I laughed "Proposals? Yes, that why I got you a ring" I said and his face flushes a dark red as I said that "You can't just do stuff like that in public" he said as he looked away "I know, I wanted it to be special but I couldn't resist giving it to you now" I said and he out the jewelry on but put one if the bracelets on my wrist "You planned all this by yourself?" he asked and I nod "Yep, well I got a little help from Barbatos with the snacks but other than that it was me" I said with a smile and his eyes returned to mine "Why" he asked, I knew he wasn't used to people doing extravagant things for him but that way he asked hurt "Because I love you, I may not say it much but I truly adore you Mammon" I said and he pulled me into a soft and sweet kiss "So, will you?" I ask after pulling away from the kiss "Marry you? Of course I will, I'd be stupid not to" Mammon said as he help me close.
