Claire felt the cold floor of the bunker on her feet as she slowly peered around the corner. She didn't know what to expect, and she knew her dad would be pissed if he knew she was wandering around but it had been almost two hours since she saw or heard her Papa. He was supposed to come tuck her in but he stayed gone, and then the big crash had come. They were lucky Jack was still sleeping soundly in his room. He was a heavy sleeper. You had to be when you lived with Dean.
It was the thinking that tripped Claire up. She missed her step, caught her toe on the corner and Bam. "Oh shit." She quickly pulled herself off the floor but it was too late. Dean sat at the table, nursing a glass god knew what, his head snapping up as he looked at her. "Who told you that you could leave your room." His voice was cold, and so unlike the man she knew as her father. "No one but.. but I heard a crash and I wanted to see if Papa was-" The glass slammed onto the table "But But" he mocked "But nothing you little shithead. Go the fuck back to sleep. Your Papa is fine, just a clumsy ass that's all." Claire hesitated. Her mouth opening and closing, wanting to ask but knowing she didn't want the truth. The man's head snapped back up, not pleased with her lack of movement. The glass he had been drinking out of smashed into the wall within seconds, his voice booming"NOW CLAIRE".
Scampering around the corner faster than a mouse, the girl clamored back into her room. But not before hearing the ,now quieter, disgruntled voice of her father "Dumb ass kid! What the fuck is wrong with you!"
