Chapter Text
The stars above him are growing, morphing into big bright lights.
Can I still reach you, Izuku?
As the stars engulfed his whole vision, he felt his head clear. Was this what dying really felt like? Katsuki felt comfortable, as though he was about to nap after a long day.
Everything went black.
Huh. He figured things would end there. Katsuki didn’t want to give up. He still wanted to win.
Dying was surprisingly comfortable, it was almost as though he was wrapped in a soft blanket in his childhood bedroom. He curled into the feeling and pulled the blanket tighter over himself.
He heard a beep, and then another beep. It was growing louder and more consistent.
“Ghhhh” he groaned as he reached out for his alarm clock out of habit.
He slammed the snooze button with his fist and rolled back over into his bed.
Wait.
That wasn’t right was it? Katsuki stretched out his fingers and gripped the blanket. His hands felt different, smaller and weaker.
Was he not dead? Or was this some sort of afterlife?
He blinked once, twice, and was met with the soft sunlight peeking through his blinds. So his afterlife was to live on in his childhood bedroom? Odd.
Katsuki pushed himself up into a sitting position and rubbed his arm over his eyes. As the grogginess left his eyes he found himself inspecting the room around him. Everything was still intact and in the right places. He glanced down at his arms and found his arms to be lanky and small. Of course he’d get stuck in this shitty ass version of himself. He climbs out of bed and has to immediately grab onto the wall for support. Katsuki was disoriented and felt very out of place in his own body. Maybe this was his own personal hell? Being stuck as his puny middle school self. Was this his punishment for being such a piece of shit his whole life?
There was a knock on his door, then he heard a voice that made his blood run cold.
“KATSUKI! Get your ass up!”
