Chapter Text
“Yes, I’m finally moving to Japan next month!” Jessica jumped up and down with excitement, the letter in hands threatening to fall to the ground. “Wow, slow down, girl. Give it to me, are you sure you read correctly?” Her brother, Elliot, took the letter and read it twice. “You lucky girl, I wish I could join you, but I’m drowning in work now. You get to work with some of the best voice actors in Japan. Not everyone gets that chance. Maybe you’ll even get lucky with one of them.” He smirked at her, causing her to blush crimson at his words. “Idiot, that’s not why I’m going there. Sure, I have a crush on a few of them, but it doesn't mean I want to sleep with them.” “Yeah, right. I know there’s one you can’t help but fantasize over. I’ve seen the way your eyes shine whenever you watch his events online. Can’t say I blame you, he’s my type as well. Taller than average, big brown eyes, and the cutest dimples. Not to mention those moles on his face. Makes one wonder what he looks like down there.” Jessica thew a pillow at him, only spurring him on. “You know you want to fuck him, dear sister. Don’t even deny it. You’ll make this dear brother of yours a very happy man if you finally settled down and have a kid or two. Then you can finally calm down a bit.” Out of breath from the pillow fight, she sat on the couch, glaring daggers at him. “I know you’re worried about me, but I’m not too old yet to have children. And besides, if I cannot have my own, I’m always open for adoption. Look how well you turned out.”
Elliot sighed. “Yeah, I know I’m lucky to be a part of a wonderful family who loves me. But even then, I’m still curious about my biological parents and why they had to leave me at the orphanage. Now that I’m older, I’m trying to research them, but so far, I haven’t found much information.” He gives her a grim smile. She scoots over to him and gives him a hug, her warmth making him feel safe and loved. “No matter what happens, I’ll be here for you. As soon as I’m settled in Japan and you’re free from work, I want you to live with me there. I have a feeling both of us will find what we’re looking for in the land of the rising sun.”
One month later…
“Japan is even more beautiful than in the pictures and videos of my friends. I cannot wait to travel the country with them. I just hope I don’t get lost here.” She muttered to herself, taking care not to stand out amongst the other travellers. As someone with relatively beautiful features and eyes the colour of the Okinawan waters, she gets quite a few stares from other foreigners and locals. With her earphones on listening to SF9’s “Summer Breeze”, she doesn’t even hear a few young men catcalling her. “Hey pretty lady, are you free tonight? How about some fun in one of the love hotels?” One of the men got cocky and grabbed her arm. She almost lost her balance and glared furiously at the stranger who dared interrupt her idol Rowoon’s swoon worthy voice. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” The young man smiled wolfishly at her, looking her up and down like she’s a feast waiting to be consumed. “I called you, but you didn’t answer. How about it, you wanna get down and dirty with me?” She sighed and turned off her music. She’ll simp over him later tonight. “Excuse me, but I’m literally just walking around. Who the hell gives you the right to touch me? Only my boyfriend has that privilege, asshole!” He smirks at her, and she felt a sense of dread running through her spine. This guy was not gonna let up. She didn’t want to end up in jail on her first visit to Japan, but she will defend herself with violence if necessary. “Now, let’s not drag this out any longer than it needs to be. Either you come with me nice and easy, or I’ll scream out that you owe me money from being a prostitute.” He assumed this will work on her, since it worked with all his victims. But he clearly misjudged her. She came from South Africa; she’s used to all kinds of people over there. How to deal with someone harassing you in public: roast the living daylights out of them! “Listen up everyone! This small dick asshole over here won’t leave this poor innocent girl alone. My boyfriend is on his way to pick me up and he gets jealous very quickly. Please, can someone call the police before we have a crime scene? I’m very scared!” She yelled at the top of her longs, and it wasn’t long before a crowd appeared. “Oi, do you know this man?” An older man appeared from the crowd, looking puzzled at the situation. “No, sir. I literally arrived in Japan today to start working here, and this person came to try and assault me. He’s also a foreigner it seems.” The older man stood next to her, and she felt a sense of relief. “I can’t stand it when men make a fool of themselves in front of women. I instructed someone to call the police and have you arrested. This is not the first time someone complained about you.” The young man laughed in his face. “Yeah right, my dad is an important politician in the States. He’ll make this disappear, and as always, I’ll get the girl I want.”
He licked his lips, and everyone felt a collective sense of disgust at his behaviour. Jessica heard the people whisper and she caught them saying how men like him are the reason why it’s so hard to date nowadays. “Say, you said your boyfriend is on the way. You’re lying right? You look like a virgin, ain’t no way someone’s had you before.” She blushed, knowing he was unfortunately right. She was not shy in exploring her own body, her favourite male voice actors reciting very kinky drama cd’s keeping her well entertained at night. Still doesn’t give him a reason to shame her publicly. “How the hell would you know? What people do behind closed doors has nothing to do with you.” He stepped closer, not even bothering to look at the older man who tried to shield her. “Oh, it does. There’s nothing more exciting than taking a girl’s virginity. The fact that you’ll forever be the first, God, that just gives me rush much better than any drug! Come, let’s go, my cock can’t wait to fuck you!”
Having finally had enough of this bastard, she raised her leg and kicked him full in the groin. He buckled over in pain, calling her all kinds of names. The crowd cheered, some even taking videos of the incident to shame him. The police arrived and arrested him. One officer even laughed at his pain, calling him a loser for trying to push his luck. “Please send that one back where he came from, this country will be much better without his stupid ass.” She received a few hugs and high fives from strangers, especially women. “I can’t believe you were so brave. I would’ve run away as fast as possible.” A girl around 16 years of age approached her. “I’m so happy to see that bastard in handcuffs. He assaulted my older sister a few weeks ago and she is still traumatized from it. He got away with it as he always did, even after she submitted all the evidence. Now she’s scared of men and runs every time one tries to approach her. But now I can tell her that a brave woman took revenge on him. Thank you very much.” Jessica smiled at the girl, her heart beating fast from all the excitement. “You’re welcome. I hope to meet your sister one day. Please tell her it’s not her fault. This guy was straight up an asshole and deserves to rot in hell. Thankfully not all men are like that. Take my brother for instance. He’s sweet and caring, loves animals and children. Plus, he’s gay too, so no threat to women.” They talked for a while and parted ways. Sighing, she called a taxi over to take her to the apartment she rented. “Finally, I can get some rest in. I literally just wanted to sleep, not to be harassed by a stupid guy.” She unpacked her clothes, took a warm bath, and crawled into bed. Later that night she rewatched her favourite music videos from SF9 and Nothing Carved in Stone. Tomorrow she’ll finally meet her new colleagues at the voice actor company. She was hired to help the voice actors with their English pronunciation and signed up for classes to help with her Japanese studies. Her favourite voice actor also worked there, but she decided to hold off on announcing that she was his fan. He didn’t need to get wrong ideas on why she’s working there.
