Chapter Text
Sharlel sat down with her coffee at a table at the adventurers guild In Limsa. Another adventurer asked if there was a free seat around the table and sat down with a coffee next to her when she nodded in response. “Have you found some work to engage in?”
Sharlel nodded and took a sip from her mug. “Right now I’m helping out handling a ladybug infection in the fields outside the city and Ive been splitting rocks for a guy called Rhotgeim, but fighting as a marauder doesn’t feel right for me at all.” The adventurer looked at her “Maybe you should try a different job then?”
“Well, I might as well give it a go. I only picked up my sword and shield to honor the memory of a dear friend of mine.” The adventurer glanced at her “Yes. That makes sense, but you can find your own way and honour your friend too. If you want I can show you to a different guild that might suit you better. You will be able to swap between healing or damaging spells.” Sharlel smiled, “You might be right! Let’s finish our coffees first then.”
When Sharlel got her first grimoire in her hands, she felt a change in her whole being. It was as if a missing piece of a puzzle was found and put in its place. Putting down the sword to do spells with a book in hand was so right. The extra puzzle piece that was paladin was kept, as she had a hunch it was important for her and part of the puzzle. It would find its rightful place somewhere else.
The next morning Sharlel was on her own and wandered out the gates from Limsa into the morning mists. A warm glowing light from the east promised a wonderful day. The road from the gate went towards The Unbelievable and The Possible; a new day where anything could happen.
