Back to life

Summary:

What if Farah would help fight the blood witches and not just dissolve in Bloom's arms?

All of that was behind them for far too long. In response, she opened her arms. Bloom did the same.
It really felt like old times.
Only this time should be the last time...

A sweet and sad Silrah-Story. With a bit of fluff, of course.

Notes:

Hey!
I'm super excited as this is my first Silrah fanfic.
This title isn't the best.
Maybe I'll change it again.

As I said in the description, I change the story a bit.
I didn't like the last two episodes of the second season that much.
Here is the result (:

PS: I apologize in advance for any grammatical and spelling mistakes. English is not my mother tongue...

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter Text

,,It's time." Her voice sounded determined.
,,Maybe a hug? For old times sake.” Farah sensed her student's embarrassment. She smiled. The embarrassment was unnecessary. She remembered that time well, the first hug.

The girl, quite embarrassed, had asked for a hug. At first she was skeptical, but in the end it turned into a beautiful moment. It was good for both of them and the relationship changed. No longer a normal student-teacher relationship. The headmistress had known before, felt responsible for the fire fairy from the beginning. But from that moment on, Bloom also realized that Miss Dowling always wanted her best, always careful to protect her. She realized that this woman was more than just her principal, a kind of surrogate mother.

All of that was behind them for far too long. In response, she opened her arms. Bloom did the same.
It really felt like old times.
Only this time should be the last time...

It was difficult for her to part with the girl. But they still had a lot to do. ,,Where are Musa and Flora?" Only now did she notice that the group had shrunk. ,,Bavani knows Bloom is gone. They both went back to school for training,” explained Stella. She nodded slowly. ,,And where is Saul?" Silence and apologetic looks answered the question. That disappointed her. She would like to go to him immediately. ,,Well, then we'll go to school too.", she decided. Maybe he would be there.

The troops were silent. Nobody knew what to say. The silence was broken only by the beeping of Bloom's cell phone.
Farah could see in her eyes that something terrible had happened.
,,The blood witches have flora! Musa just texted me.”
,,Shit." Terra cursed. ,,We have to get her out of there."
,,No, Musa wrote that there are scrapers and blood witches everywhere. They besieged the whole school. Without specialists, we can forget about that. I'm sure Flora can do it without us. And Musa too.” The tone of Bloom's voice left no room for discussion.
,,And now?" Aisha asked the important question.
,,We'd best go back to the hiding place.", replied the Headmistress. They would be safe there for the time being.

The off-road vehicles could be seen from afar. Likewise their owners.
Farah's heart jumped a little.
Hope, joy, but also fear grew in her. How would Saul react?
Probably shocked and incredulous. Maybe angry too. After all, she had just left him alone like that.
But maybe he wasn't alone anymore, had found a new fairy to fight with him. The initial joy now turned completely into fear and uneasiness.

,,Miss Dowling?", asked Bloom worriedly. ,,Are you alright?" She resisted the temptation to just nod. ,,I...I think I need a moment... Saul needs to believe I'm dead... And now –" The girl interrupted her, ,,It's alright I won't tell you anything about yourself for now." She turned around as something struck her something else came to mind: ,,I think Mister Silver will be very happy to see her return. You don't have to be afraid... you two are really cute together.” The fire fairy seemed to have missed the last sentence because she covered her mouth in shock, said goodbye hastily and ran to her friends.

The thought fairy sat leaning against a tree and wondered why she wasn't ready. She had learned from Rosalind to suppress her feelings and only concentrate on the mission. Only after the fight could she let her emotions run free.

How many times had she sat with Saul back then and talked to him about Aster Dell. She could show him her feelings openly and he knew exactly how she felt.

Damn it, she thought. Her thoughts returned to him. To the man who had accompanied her for so long. Your specialist and best friend...
,,You two are really cute together."
The sentence echoed almost reproachfully in her head. Her heart knew exactly what was going on inside her and made it clear that the term best friend was no longer enough.

She had always suppressed these thoughts and feelings, but now it was different. She had experienced how fast it could go.
She didn't want to and wasn't allowed to suppress all of this anymore! So-

Voices made the director sit up and take notice. She cautiously peered out from behind the tree. Bloom and Saul stood nearby. ,,We have to fight." The words sent goosebumps down her arms.
She was not prepared for the sight of him or his voice. So familiar.

,,What, he's still at school?!" The fire fairy's voice was shrill and brought her back to the here and now. Saul tried to calm her down and put a hand on her shoulder. ,,Yes, but before you freak out now: Sky is very smart. Believe me, he can handle it."

Farah sensed very well that he wasn't entirely carefree either. She found it all the nicer that he tried to take away the young fairy's fear.
She actually calmed down a bit.

,,By the way, someone is still waiting for you.“, the girl explained suddenly. She must have seen them. ,,Who?" His voice sounded confused. The thought fairy took a deep breath. Now it was time. She got up slowly and stepped out from behind the tree.
,,I."
