Work Text:
Bheem stood outside his hut. "How is he?" He asked the woman who was taking care of Ram.
"He has a fever." She answered him.
"I thought he was doing better." Bheem sighed.
"The wound on his back got infected." She explained. "He is sleeping now, don't you dare wake him up."
"Okay mother." He walked into the hut and looked at Ram, who was sleeping but restless. He kneeled next to the sleeping mat and laid a hand on Ram's forehead, he was burning up. Did he do this, was this because of his punishment?
He grabbed a kalash and stepped out of the hut and walked over to the small stream near the village. He filled the kalash with water and walked back, entered his hut and saw that Ram was awake.
"You came back." Ram whispered weakly.
Bheem rushed over to him and kneeled down. "Sshhtt, you should be sleeping." He moved his hand over Ram's damp hair. He poured the water in a bowl, dipped a cloth in it and laid it on Ram's forehead.
Ram sighed and closed his eyes. "Thank you." He mumbled.
"I am so sorry." Bheem said. "I did this. Why didn't you stop me?"
Ram opened his eyes. " It's okay."
Bheem dipped the cloth in the cold water again and laid it back on his forehead. "No, it's not, I shouldn't have done it."
"How is Malli?" Ram asked.
"She is fine. You rescued her, didn't you? I was so wrong about you." Bheem sniffled.
Ram raised a hand and touched Bheem's hand. "I don't blame you, you had a very good reason not to trust me. I captured and tortured you. I thought that what I did was the right way, but when I saw how with one song you turned all those people into weapons I knew I had been wrong all this time."
A sob escaped Bheem's lips, he took Ram's hand and kissed his knuckles. "Rest now, I am here."
For the next couple weeks Bheem took care of Ram, letting no one near him. He dressed his wounds, gave him medicine and made sure he ate and drank enough. He knew that he did it out of guilt, he wanted Ram to forgive him.
He walked into the hut and smiled when he saw that Malli was there. "Hello Malli." He greeted her and kneeled down next to Ram, putting a hand on his forehead.
Malli giggled when Ram rolled his eyes. "I don't have a fever." He reassured Bheem.
Bheem sighed. "Indulge me."
Ram grinned. "Okay." So he sat still and allowed Bheem to do what he wanted. When Bheem had finished Ram looked at him. "You're okay?"
"I should ask you that question."
"What is bothering you?" Ram looked him in the eyes.
"Malli, can you go outside? I need to talk to Ram."
Malli nodded and walked out of the hut. As soon as she had left Ram took Bheem's hand. "What is the matter?"
"Can you ever forgive me?" Bheem whispered.
Ram moved his thumb over Bheem's knuckles. "There is nothing to forgive." He stated. "We both made mistakes."
"I almost killed you and forced you to have sex with me, I cal that more then making a mistake."

"What I have done to you is so much worse. I should ask you for forgiveness."
Bheem shook his head. "I have already forgiven you." He leaned forward and kissed him.
Ram answered it, deepening it. He pulled back and smiled. "I am willing to give this, us a try."
Bheem looked at him. "Are you sure? The first time wasn't very pleasant for you, it most have been hell for you."
Ram moved a hand over Bheem's cheek. "Then show me heaven this time."
