It was late at night when Daniel get back to his hotel room. Opening the door he'd expect it to be dark but fortunately by the look of how all the lights turned on, there's already someone inside, waiting for him. He quietly getting inside just to see George laying on his back while scrolling through his phone.
"Danny, you're back! Come sit here and look at these!" Said his boyfriend excitedly, Daniel shrugged his shoulders before dropping himself beside George. He leaned over to the younger male shoulder,just to get a closer look and getting comfortable.
"What is that? My photo with you?" Asked Daniel after looking at the picture he knew taken the day before when they're caught on track together walking side by side.
"Yeah, but look at the comments, they're saying you're going to be a full time wags next year" said George again, scrolling at many many comments on how they saying Daniel will become a perfect wags after he retires.
"Well wags life can wait Georgie cause this man ain't giving up on his racing career just yet!" Said Daniel confidently while making a face, making George quietly chuckling at his act.
"Oh c'mon Dan, I actually agree with them, you retire and become my full time wags" said George again, already inching closer to Dan by grabbing him by the waist. Daniel on the other, is a little bit flustered, no matter how confident and how comfortable he is, he'll always get surprised on how straight forward his boyfriend is.
"Georgie, I won't give up yet, just yet, give me some years okay, then I promise I'll be your pretty wags, walking around hand in hand with you every race week" said Daniel cheekily, George could only fake a pout while thinking a way to make Daniel accept the idea of slowing down a bit by retiring and having great time watching George drives.
It went silent when George quietly thinking while Daniel still scrolling through comments and laughing here and there. An idea pops up, he quickly turned to Daniel, he absolutely can make Daniel his full time wags meanwhile Daniel still have his racing career.
"Babe, I got an idea, how about this, you become our reserved driver? In that meaning you can have your racing career, I can have my full time wags with me, isn't it a win win?" Asked George again making Daniel think about it. Technically it's not wrong on George idea, he'll definitely be on track every race week, and he'll finally be close with George all the time. But he thoughts again on how it'll work, and why on earth Mercedes would hire him as their reserved driver for next season. In the meantime, George look at Daniel seriously. He look like he knows what Daniel had been thinking along.
"Listen, I know what you're going to say, to answer that is, I'll recommend you to Toto! obviously next year we still don't have a replacement for Nicky that he move to Alphatauri, so I think Toto will definitely like the idea of hiring you!" Said George again reassuring Daniel that he can make Daniel part of the team. But Daniel seems a bit hesitant on the idea, it didn't sit right with him.
"But you cannot do that?! I don't want them to hire me just because I'm your boyfriend and I'm friend with Toto, that'll be messed up" said Daniel again, George could be so stupid sometimes he thought.
"Don't you dare say that you're not worth it, it's not that they'll hire you because you're my boyfriend, I recommend you as a great driver for the team not as my boyfriend, so please let me help" said George again, and before Daniel could say a single thing more, George just shut him up by a warm kiss on his lips that'll make Daniel melt in his arms and just finally agreeing George with a full smile on the face and a simple thank you.
