Chapter Text
What Happened?
He had just walked out the door of his apartment now 20 minutes ago.
What was Cthulhu doing here?
…
Hold on, you don’t know what’s happening do you? Let me go back a second, I’m sorry.

A loud blaring noise startled his ears. Shawn groaned in annoyance.
The few hours of sleep he had tried to get were now over.
He reached his hand out from under the blanket to stop the alarm.
his face was still firmly planted in his pillow.
He waited a few seconds before finally getting up from his bed. He ran a hand across his face before grabbing his phone and standing up.
He had left his phone on silent, something he normally didn’t do, but he decided he was gonna try to get some sleep (which he didn’t) instead of staying up all night with his friends' group chat, which like him had been very active throughout the night, although they probably shouldn’t have been.
He unlocked his phone and began to backread the chat.
MuffinMan:
@mozzle Mr. Coffee Addict, when you “wake up” you're getting the food this morning, thanks >:)
LocalTheatreKid:
Stop being mean to him you bald cupcake
But it is your turn to get breakfast today, buddy.
MuffinMan:
YOU’LL NEVER STOP ME NERD >:D
He turned off his phone and chuckled at the group's antics. He slipped on his shoes and changed into some more presentable clothes.
Well, if presentable was heading to a cafe then yeah, presentable.
He lazily strode down the block to BBC.
…it stands for Big Black Coffee. What were you thinking?
Anyway, he walked up to the shop, but when he looked inside there was a line longer than- actually I won’t make that joke. The point is, the line was long.
Why was it so long anyway? What is it that everyone wanted so bad that they’d wait in a line this long for it? He almost decided to just walk away and go to a different shop, but he didn’t.
But it was only because he knew for a fact, that his friend Memphis despised waiting. With a line this long, he could piss her off twice as much.
So he waited.
..
And waited.
..
And waited.
..
Oh my god, how much longer is this dude gonna-
CRASH!
Oh! Nevermind.
Suddenly, there was a crash that thundered throughout the place. Glass was flying and Shawn was far too tired to take in anything that was happening.
It looked like a man. Kind of scared or dazed. He was holding something, what it was he couldn’t tell you. Suddenly there were cars outside. Big cars and Police cars.
Everyone was running. He was so confused, and by god was he tired. He was so tired that he could probably lie down right here on the floor and take a nap.
The man was saying something. Not out loud, but Shawn could see his lips were moving.
He couldn’t focus for long enough to comprehend what happened, but the next thing he knew…
WHAT THE FUCK, IS THAT CTHULHU!?
He saw people hiding by the tables, so he followed them. He couldn’t see what happened next, but he heard all sorts of noises, none of which sounded good.
What a normal day in Colorado.
