Work Text:
"And the birds don't talk like the ones on screen" said Tommy, who if you didn't know just run away from the house that didn't know he was not just a cat but also a teenage boy. "Have they really domesticated me?" He asks sadly. 'Say, is that the kid from the bulletin?' Tommy thought as he walked by a dual haired boy around his age, "can I do anything when I'm also missing". Tommy says as he continues to walk but looks at the boy one more time, 'something tells me kid never learned swim, can I do anything when I'm also drowning'. Tommy thinks one last time about the dual haired boy. As Tommy continued walking he walks past another boy with ram horns that looks to be he age and thinks 'say, was that the one from the milk carton?', but Tommy continues walking saying "can I save him when me myself needs saving". Tommy is still walking past shops and restaurants when he glances at a telephone pole he's walking by and stops a bit past the pole looking at a picture and he says " say, was that my face put on display?" Then he looks around and when he sees no one he shifts to his human body, and while he sits on the sidewalk looking at the picture he says one more time "can I do anything when I'm also missing?". He looks away and starts crying, then he shifts back into his cat body and starts walking again to find a shelter for the night.
