Edmund's lost track of how long it's been since they last did this. It was another life then, one with different rules, and everything had changed once they'd come back.
But this, at least, feels the same.
He weaves his fingers through golden hair like rays of sunlight, breath catching in his chest as he pulls him closer, biting back a desperate whine when soft lips find his throat.
Peter's indulgent laugh is like snowdrops during a thaw, his kiss like the first breath of spring air, warmth fighting its way through the cold.
And under his touch, Edmund melts.
