Today was the day of joy and laughter. Many people in high emotions of pure glee and joy as they hum and sing the songs meant for the month of Christmas
Yes it was finally Christmas, waiting 24 days was always the tough part. Waiting to shower your family or partner in endless amount of gifts and hugs
That's why Gorou was bursting with excitement. He couldn't wait to gift Kazuha his gift. A handmade scarf. Gorou had taken lessons since August so he could make his boyfriend a beanie and a scarf. But he had only managed to make a scarf.
It might seem ridiculous as a scarf is rather easy when it comes down to it. But gorou doesn't necessarily have alot of time. He's a college student. He runs errands for the local flower Cafe along with Aether. He takes practice in the bow club, as well as the hand to hand combat lessons he takes every Tuesday and Friday.
Gorou has a busy life. Besides with all of those things- he also values alot of his free time to be with Kazuha. So yeah- he did not have that much spare time to make both clothes. But he is proud of the one he managed to make!!
Gorou is well aware of Kazuhas growing collections of scarfs and beanies... as well as his on growing "stealing gorous hoodies"...... so he thought making one himself would be such a great gift!
Since his boyfriend is also the type to value sentimental things that are small or less. He doesn't need grand things... kazuha is content with small gifts and affections
"Hes so perfect" gorou hummed. His thoughts keeping running images of Kazuha. Kazuha. Kazuha.
"Ya! Stop thinking about your boyfriend for a damn minute, would you?"
Right. Before he could get to his beloved boyfriend. He had his friends to attend to. Said friend being Thoma. His roommate. Or one of them. "Sorry.. it's just our first Christmas together since my family agreed to let me stay"
Thoma signed. "Yeah I get ya. But it would be nice if you still could help ME pack. I won't see you till next year. It would be nice to talk with my best friend instead of a lovestruck wall"
Gorou just rolled his eyes but did end up helping. Thoma was going home for his holiday too. Though Thoma originally lived far away. His family had moved closer. So much close it was a legit 1 hour drive to his parents house.
After having helped Thoma pack and sent him off. Gorou was alone in his dorm. It was quite weird how quiet it was. Usually you could hear Thoma cooking or cleaning around. Tighnari being angry at Cyno for telling dumb jokes and sometimes Albedo would come over to hang out. Usually with Tighnari and Gorou. But today was quiet.
Gorou smiled. Cause it meant that soon Kazuha would arrive!! His excitement sky rocketed again.
He can't help it. He loves his boyfriend so much!
His plan for the night was simple! First kazuha is gonna come and pick him up. Then they are gonna down to the local restaurant that Thoma part-times at and get their food that they had agreed on pre-ordering. Then they are gonna go around the campus plaza for a bit and return home.
Then they will chat and eat dinner. Watch cozy movies! Exchange gifts and presents and hugs and kisses and hugs and kisses!!!! LOTS OF CUDDLES!
'Eeeppppp! Tonight's gonna be awesome!!!' Gorou jumped and skipped around!
And just in time, the bell to the door rang. Speed unlocked. Jacket, beanie, shoes, hoodie. Go! "KAZIE!!" Gorou greeted him. Kazuha let a out a laugh. Seeing his boyfriend combust with pure happiness at his arrival. "Hello dear! You ready to pick up dinner?"
"Indeed I am! Let's go!"
"He was seriously gonna cut his head off. I swear! Cyno has got to stop doing those silly bad jokes on tighnari if he wanna keep his head!"
Kazuha giggled, loving the way gorou was so dramatic about his roommates antics. Doe he can't say that his dorm isn't much less chaotic. Living with Heizou and Venti afterall
"Sounds the same as when Venti and Heizou are making plans to mess with Xiao or me. Xiao being more... well- you know" Gorou burst into laughter. Already seeing how Xiao reacts to Ventis pranks. Knowing they are cousins makes it make sense on why Xiao usually targets Venti first and Heizou later.
"There's truly not a moment of silence. Albedo is so lucky. Only having to live with his boyfriend" Gorou signed. Truly albedo was really lucky! Having his own apartment with his boyfriend down the street. "Don't get too ahead of yourself. You haven't met Kaeya. I'm sure he is just as chaotic as the rest of our friends. Afterall he knows venti"
"Damn- such a small world" they said at the same time. Giggling. It's all they could do. Today was such a nice day. Snow falling and the music playing from shops to shops. So romantic and indulging!
"Hey" Gorou tucked on kazuhas arm before slinging his own around his waist. Kazuha out of routine placed his own around gorous neck. "I really love you" he simply said, raising his hand to brush his thumb against kazuhas reddish cheeks. Smiling uncontrollably.
Kazuha was much the same. Just smiling and looking at gorou. "I love you too my dear" he replied. They had said it before. Not alot. They show through actions and affections everyday. But that made the words so much more special.
Both knowing what to do next, leaned into each other and embraced one another in a small kiss. Just filling it with love and care. "Let's get our food and watch some movies hmm?" Gorou suggested after having parted for awhile. "Sounds good" kazuha agreed. Still bearing a gorgeous smile
"Did anyone else of your roommates stay here for the holidays?" Gorou asked as they were on their 3rd movie. Watching their favorite Christmas Disney movies. Kazuha was laying right on gorous chest. Fidgeting with his new scarf. He loved it so much. He said it was his new favorite scarf in his collection.
Gorou had received a custom made bow and a hand painted helmet (painted by Albedo) he was over the moon by it. The bow was a beautiful work of art and it was made even more beautiful when Kazuha told him that he got to crave their initials on it.
"Nhm yeah. I think venti and Xiaos trains got canceled for home. So they are staying. But aether, lumine, heizou and Kuki were already staying. So they are probably all having a great time together"
"Mhm I see. Maybe we can ask them if they wanna spend the day tomorrow together"
"Mhm maybe. But I'd rather just spend it with you" Kazuha ever the teaser. Knowing exactly what gets his boyfriend shy. "Th-that sounds nice too. Ye-yeah. We can definitely- most definitely do that, yeah." The dog boy replied. His tail waggle and wiggle from side to side. "Hehe yeah. We could finally watch that series you talked about with Cyno. The time travel one" kazuha popped up. Reaching for some chips. He gave one to gorou, who gratefully took it and ate it. Humming in thought
"Oh yeah! With the white and black haired guys that runs that photo shop. Yeah that sounds nice!"
Cyno had indeed been suggesting it. It had come out awhile ago. But Cyno had really insisted on watching it with Tighnari and the rest of the gang (yeah sure)
And with that Kazuha and Gorou continues to cuddle up on Gorous dorm bed as they watch movies. Gorou holding kazuha tight to his chest. He probably stopped listening in on the movie a long time ago as he just enjoys looking at his beloved in front of him.
Maybe gorou had gone home for Christmas. Just a new type home. A home in his beloved partners arms. "I love you" he had whispered when he shut off the TV after finding kazuha had fallen asleep.
He gave him a kiss on the forehead and went to sleep himself. Feeling loved and cared
