Work Text:

Felix is walking ahead of him, hands in his jacket, looking down on the grounds of Seoul. Snow falls gently, streets already coated with inches of it, as is expected. Hyunjin glances around—there’s nobody—and he means nobody—here. Just Felix, with snowflakes peppering his dark hair, locks growing longer at his request.

After all, how can he resist giving it a pull and hearing that moan?

A sly smile crosses Hyunjin’s lips and he bends down, forming a snowball, packing it tightly. Perfect. Felix still meanders ahead, the two walking towards one of the dorms to celebrate the Christmas with their friends. There’s dinner waiting for them, sky beginning to darken in the slightest. But they won’t mind if the two of them are late, right?

Tongue stuck out of his mouth, Hyunjin winds, aims, and then launches the snowball. It soars with a precision and bursts on Felix's back. He stumbles and turns, eyes wide, lips curving into a smile a moment later. “Hey!”

“Hey you,” Hyunjin says back, forming another snowball.

Felix eyes him with curiosity. “What are you—”

Another burst of white, this time on his shoulder. Felix blinks, wiping off the flakes on his face, jacket glittering with snow. Hyunjin is making another one, heading deeper into the snow, not caring how his pants will look. “I believe I’m starting a snowball fight with you, Lee Felix.”

Felix raises an eyebrow but follows him. “I can’t after the last time—”

Hyunjin scores another hit on his Felix’s leg, his laughter ringing out across the quiet, snow fallen land. “We were young then. I think I can take a ball to the face now.” Hyunjin winks and Felix reddens, coughing. “Now, now…” Hyunjin says, bending to scoop more snow into his hands. “I think you’re making this far too easy, being scared to hit me—”

Cold explodes on his shoulder and Hyunjin is grinning when he pops up, looking the man he loves in the eye. “Game on, Hwang. Don’t say you didn’t ask for it.”

“Oh, you know I also ask for i—hey!”

And Felix and Hyunjin fall into a snowball fight, slipping into a slightest forested area of the ground, ducking behind trees, laughter echoing between the woods, trees that keep the worst kept secret in South Korea. Despite cold hands and cheeks, snow simply covering the both of them as they pelt each other with snow, they’re warm, laughter raucous, joy unmistakable with each dodge, hit or—

“Got you,” Felix says, tackling Hyunjin into the snow, pining his wrists down, body flush over his. Hyunjin’s smile catches, laughter stopped, when he looks into Felix’s brown eyes, so warm and full of… Hyunjin clears his throat, memorizing how red spreads over his cheeks and nose, how his eyes crinkle when he looks down at him, snow caught in his hair and eyelashes, the pleasant pressure as he holds him down, straddling his hips.

Hyunjin smiles softly. “You always have, you know.”

Somehow, Felix blushes deeper. “You’re cheesy,” he whispers, biting his lower lip.

“I’d like to think it more as a romantic,” Hyunjin says, cocky smirk on his lips as he lifts his head in attempts to kiss the lips he loves around his—

But he stops, startled when Felix leans in and carefully brings a gloved hand to his face, high on his cheek. Hyunjin’s eyes flutter, breath caught, Felix’s finger and Hyunjin’s eyelashes briefly touching. Felix repeats the action, smiling to himself when he releases Hyunjin’s wrists, cupping his face.

“What… what was that for?” Hyunjin asks, curious.

“Just… you’ve got some snow stuck in your eyelashes,” Felix whispers, then kisses his nose.

Hyunjin chuckles, shifting under him. They’ll be plenty warm tonight. “You do too.”

“I think I know the best way to get rid of them.”

Hyunjin cocks an eyebrow. “Oh? And what’s that?”

“This.”

And their chilled (but not for long) lips meet, soft—then fast and searing, Felix pulling him close in a kiss that lasts until twilight sparkles, bodies clinging to each other in the snow, forgetting about the world and rules and responsibilities and the dinner all around them.

Hyunjin wouldn’t have it any either way.
