The  Sleepover

By Kwabss

A Rui/Tsukasa fanfic

6:00 PM

Ding Dong. The chime of the the doorbell resonates throughout the home, as Tsukasa’s head perks up from looking at his phone and glances over at the door.

“Saki, I think there’s someone at the door, it’s your friends, the girls from Miya, do you want me to get it?” The voice of Saki and Tsukasa’s mother sounded from downstairs, where she stood next to the couch, extremely tired.

Saki shouted across the house, her voice cracking multiple times. “Mom! Wait! I’ll get it! No! Don’t worry! It’s fine!”

After finishing her shout-fest, she put on her slippers and ran down the stairs, almost tripping and falling down them, then swerving through the living room, carefully dodging the coffee table and couches. Her footsteps were loud and disorganized, almost stomping on the floor. She barely stopped herself from crashing face first into the door.

Mrs. Tenma, or Saki and Tsukasa’s mother, stood at the front door of the Tenma household, wearing a blue flower-print robe, with her blond, wet hair on a towel on her back. She held a cup of green tea in with both hands, a mug with musical notes on it containing the warm liquid.

Their mother sighed, placing her cup of tea down on the coffee table and pinching the skin between her eyes. “Saki, be more careful next time, you could’ve gotten hurt or worse, and you almost destroyed my vintage collector’s edition vase. I’ll be in my office editing scores if you need anything.”

Saki’s mom walked away, going up the stairs slowly, until reaching her office, where you could hear the clicking of keys and the sipping of tea in the silent home.

Saki took a breath in, before muttering something, and opening the door.

Outside, were Ichika, Honami, and Shiho, all with duffel bags in hand, ready for the most amazing sleepover to graze the world yet! They all looked excited to see Saki, as if it had been years. Well, technically it had since they last had a sleepover, but they were really really, really excited for this one. Honami was somehow holding a pie tin while handling her duffel and other bags. Who knows how she does it….

“Girls!”

Saki let out a really loud squee, you could probably hear her from a block away. She stepped out into the street going in to hug her friends, and they all embraced her back with warmth, and care.

“I was so excited I could barely contain myself for the last hour or so!”

“So was I! This is our first sleepover since elementary school!” said Ichika excitedly. She had brought a music player and all her Miku CD’s, tucked away in her bag.

“I think you should come in now though, I don’t want to keep you guys waiting! This is gonna be the awesome-est sleepover!” exclaimed Saki, as she stepped to the side to let them in. They took off their shoes and walked into the large, open living room of the Tenma residence. Tsukasa also stood up around that time to greet Saki’s bandmates and childhood friends.

”Saki’s friends! Pleasure to see you all here again!” shouted Tsukasa at the top of his lungs. Theres been a lot of shouting so far, hasn’t there.

Shiho rolled her eyes and whispered to Honami, “Is he always this loud? I remember him being loud but not this loud!” Honami squinted, and looked over to Shiho.

“I don’t think you were whispering, Shiho…” Shiho turns to look at Tsukasa, who is still continuing his monologue towards the three, and turns back to Honami.

”I don’t think he can hear us over himself, heh” laughs Shiho. Honami also giggles, which makes Ichika also turn around.

She looks at the two with confusion, wishing to ask the question, “What’s so funny?”

Shiho only laughed harder, until she could barely speak. She walks over to Tsukasa, and gives him a pat on the back. “You’re funny, Tsukasa.”

He only stares at her with even more confusion, but seeing as he made Shiho laugh, he sees it as a win.

“Ok! You can leave your things upstairs in my room!” Saki took her friends up the stairs, over into her room, where they set down their duffel bags, along with the other miscellaneous things they brought, like snacks and whatnought.

“So, what do you have planned for tonight?” asked Shiho, leaning on the wall. She crosses her arms and leans in a way where she’s practically waiting to slide down onto the floor.

“Well, I thought we could talk and maybe play games on the console, then maybe karaoke, and pizza? Ooh! And don’t forget truth or dare and scary stories later at night! Or we could try makeovers?” spouted Saki. She was speaking a bit too fast, all the possible activity ideas escaping her mouth.

A few minutes into Saki’s listing of activities, Tsukasa popped into Saki’s room.

“Hey Saki! Just so you know, I invited Rui to spend the night too, hope it doesn’t bother you” said Tsukasa.

“Really?”

“Yes Saki, really.” he said, as a sigh escaped his mouth.

Saki looked around the room, the girls all with puzzled expressions on their faces.

She turned back to look at her brother, still at the door frame, awaiting her answer, with a grin plastered all over her face.

“Would you two like to join us for sleepover activities?”

In the Wonderland SEKAI

Sooooo , Tsukasa told me about his sleepover with Rui, and it sounds like a super-mega-awesome idea! I hope they have fun!”

“I just hope his intended purpose of the sleepover works, Miku”

“What do you mean Kaito?”

Miku turned to look at Kaito, confused about this new so-called intended purpose .

“Miku, look around you. This SEKAI is a manifestation of Tsukasa’s feelings. Haven’t you been seeing a lot more hearts lately?”

“Huh?”

Miku still stood in front of Kaito, drifting off into space.

“Miku!”

Kaito shook Miku, her attention now reverted back to him.

“Tsukasa really, really, really really likes, no,  that’s the wrong word, how do I say it, Tsukasa is completely in love with Rui.”

“…”

“WHAAAAAT?”

Miku let out a gasp so loud, it could probably be heard from the moon, no, from another galaxy. Her eyes were wide open, staring directly at Kaito.

“You have to be joking. Tsukasa hates Rui!”

Kaito rolls his eyes, but continues:

“That’s just what he lets on, he only acts as if he hates Rui, but you don’t know how many times he’s gushed to me about him!”

Kaito walks over to a bench, and plops himself down on the bench, just for a certain Kagamine twin to pop out from behind the bench.

“Boo!”

Rin jumped out from behind the bench, attempting to scare Kaito, yet he deadpanned at Rin’s attempts.

“Were you not scared?” said Rin, a pout building up on her face.

“Oh, believe me, if I could scream, I would’ve, except this person hasn’t caught on what Tsukasa has for Rui!” Kaito screamed, only causing Miku to become even sadder.

“Now now Miku,” said Luka, embracing Miku.

“Where did Luka come from?” thought Kaito, but there was a more important problem at hand.

“Kaito! You shouldn’t be so harsh on her! She simply didn’t catch on! Not everyone notices a few portraits of Rui and scattered hearts all of sudden” shouted Luka.

Kaito felt a bit bad about shouting at Miku now that she was practically bawling into Luka’s chest.

“Miku, I’m really sorry about that, I didn’t mean to upset you! I hope you don’t completely hate me! I’ll even sing you a song if that’ll cheer you up!” said Kaito, doing jazz hands, attempting to cheer her up.

Miku eventually released herself from Luka’s embrace and wiped a stray tear before shaking hands with Kaito.

“Well, now you owe me a song! Sucks to be you!” said Miku.

“Ah! I said if it’ll cheer you up! You’re pretty cheered up if you’re already saying stuff like that!”

“Nope! I still need some cheering up! Now clear your throat!”

Kaito cleared his throat, as he prepared to sing a little song, just for Miku.
