Chapter Text
Wednesday sat at her desk. She could feel a headache approaching, it's been happening on a off and on again basis. Sometimes she'd go a week with a pounding sensation.
She hadn't told Enid. Heavens if she did Enid would be on her, telling her to get it checked out, offering to take her to the doctors.
But she wouldn't do that to her poor wife. No Wednesday wasn't like that, she'll just have to ride it out until she'd have time to get a proper check up.
Currently Wednesday was working on a high profile case. Simple enough? Wrong.
Wednesday hit a stump, she can't rule out any findings, nothing of DNA but the victim's own DNA. No murder weapon. It was a clean job. It bothered Wednesday alot.
The stress of wanting to colse this case was getting to her, she was getting sloppy and soon Enid seemed to notice.
With a groan Wednesday rubbed her temple, hearing the door to the small apartment open and an all to bubbly Enid coming in with bags of groceries.
"Hey Wednesday!" She said cheerfully.
Wednesday put a mask on, turning over to her girlfriend giving a warm smile. "Hi,"
Enid came over planting an all to lovely kiss on Wednesday's head, it made that headache go away, but once Enid went back to the counter to start putting the groceries away, the thumping began again.
Wednesday closed her eyes trying to relax her mind, it was time for a break, even though Wednesday wanted this case to be open and shut it seemed it was gonna be another long case which she dreaded.
Hearing the hum of Enid brought her back to reality, she turned to watch her girlfriend pull the appron off the hook seeming to get right into cooking.
The sight made her hear flutter.
At first in Evermore, Enid was bubbly, bright, not a taste Wednesday was willing to dabble in.
But after fighting off Tyler, seeing Enid wolf out, the thought of Enid ran through her mind. The special hug they shared, it's what kept the thought of Enid in her mind.
Enid seemed to notice eyes watching. Her blue eyes met the cold dark ones of Wednesday.
Enid smiled warmly. "Wanna help?"
Wednesday took a moment before turning back to her desk. "I think I will.. even though I don't like getting my hands dirty when it comes to cooking." She mumbled.
Enid rolled her eyes. "It's not so bad if you got used to it! The last time we cooked together was when we moved into this place."
Wednesday came over grabbing a bowl for the already chopped vegetables Enid had already cut pushing them into the bowl, moving over to place them on the counter.
"You know how I am with my hands.. I like them clean, unless I have to get them dirty." Wednesday said moving past Enid to turn the fire on.
Enid grabbed a large portion of what seemed to be a steak. Wednesday moved over watching her Girlfriend cut them into long straps.
Wednesday tilted her head. "Something new?"
Enid nodded. "I thought I'd get you into a new dish, we've been eating the same 4 things for a while now."
Wednesday let her mind wander. The morning breakfast Enid made her could never get boring, nor the lunch, dinner, or snacks.
"Hmm.." Wednesday came up behind Enid. "So you think about me when getting groceries?"
Enid jumped slightly giving a laugh. "I think about you all the time Wednesday.."
Wednesday pressed her head to the side of Enid's shoulder. "Is that so?"
Enid nodded. "Of course it is, I think about you when I'm at work, when I'm home with or without you."
Enid seemed to tense a bit Wednesday sensing that shift in emotion.
"Sometimes I worry about you."
Silence.
Enid stopped for a moment looking off towards the big window in the living room, watching the shifting city become quiet, lights in homes turning on in the surrounding high rises.
"You know how you told me now to worry... and if I did to not come to you about it?" Enid asked softly.
Wednesday wrapped her arms around Enid already knowing where this conversation was going.
"Yes."
"Well.. I know somethings wrong with you.. I just know it. You get this stare, you woke up in a pool of your own seat, don't think I don't sense when these things happen."
Enid looked down Wednesday adjusting to hug Enid closer.
"I get scared of stuff like that. Yoko told me what happened last month, you didn't sleep for almost two days and passed out."
Wednesday grumbled low. "I'm gonna kill her.. I told her not to tell you."
Enid moved away from Wednesday hold turning around, looking at Wednesday.
"Wednesday I need to know these things!"
Wednesday was taken a back by the look on Enids face.
"Enid..."
Enid shook her head. "No.. Wednesday, no. You can't do these things alone, why do you think I worry huh? I hate seeing you like this. I know this is your life and your career path you've taken."
Enid sighed and took a moment. "But I don't wanna see you die from exhaustion. I refuse.."
Wednesday didn't know what to say. All the times she's woken up from a nightmare, or working days without sleeping. Enid knew all of this but respected her girlfriends wishes.
"Enid..", Wednesday touched her girlfriends face tilting her head down slightly.
"I apologize."
Wednesday saw the tears in Enids eyes, Enid knew Wednesday hated when she cried but the tears flowed slowly.
Wednesday felt awful, using her thumb to clean the tears. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I-" Wednesday was trying to get the right words.
"I.. I wanna try to be better. Belive me I do. It's gonna be a process... but if your willing to give me that chance to prove to you that I can be better, I'll open up.. I wanna open up." Wednesday pressed a kiss into Enids lips.
Enid pulled Wednesday close kissing her deeper. Wednesday sighed into the kiss her headache going away again, the relief she felt feeling her Grilfriend kiss her made her small heart beat even more.
When Wednesday pulled away Enid chased after her but Wednesday pressed a hand against her lips. "Seriously.. I'm going to do better as your girlfriend.. but you need to guide me."
Enid looked into Wednesday's eyes. Luckily enough Wednesday was far from a Liar.
Enid pressed a kiss on Wednesday's palm.
"How about we..." Enid said pressing a kiss against her cheek, trailing them down her neck, against her chest, before placing a hand against the waistband of Wednesday's boxers.
"Try a different type of evening routine..?" Enid asked.
Wednesday bit her lip. She couldn't remember the last time her and Enid made love. It had to be atleast 2 months. Maybe 4.
Her eyes met those blue ones, a slight blush moving across her face when Enid's hand slipped past her waist line and a finger flicked against her sex.
Wednesday's hips jolted forward, a slight moan leaving her mouth as she was quick to cover it.
Enid gave a small chuckled pressing a kiss against Wednesday's chin, getting onto her knees. "Let me show you a good time.."
Wednesday closed her eyes while she felt her girlfriend pull her boxer shorts down, her fingers threading through the sandy blondes scalpe as she threw her own head back in pure bliss.
