It’s a Monday morning in August. Jared and Michaela had taken some days off work and taking the time relaxing and making love.
It’s 8:28am and they’re getting ready for work.
“Hey, Mick, are you okay in there? We need to get to the precinct.” Jared asks Michaela who is in the bathroom.
“I’m fine. I’m almost done.” Michaela says with a nervous voice because in a minute, she will know if she’s about to become a mom or not.
The minute is up and Michaela looks down on the stick, and when she sees the plus sign, she starts crying a little and says quiet to herself, “Oh, my God.” Then pulls herself together and gets out of the bathroom.
Few minutes later and they’re in the car. Jared looks at Michaela. “Are you sure you’re okay? You haven’t talked to me since you went in to the bathroom.” Michaela looks at Jared, “Yes, I’m fine. I’m just… I have something to tell you but when we get home.” Michaela smiles at Jared, he smiles back at her and says, “Okay.”

Later at home, Jared is cooking dinner and Michaela sits by the kitchen table and watches, “Hey, remember when I said that I wanted to tell you something?” Michaela says with a happy and exciting tone.
Jared replies, “Yeah, of course.”
“Okay, so, this morning… in the bathroom, I was, uh, taking a pregnancy test… and it was positive.” Michaela smiles and laughs. Jared stares at her, and says “What? You’re pregnant?” In a shocked and happy tone.
Michaela laughs, “I’m having your baby, Jared Vasquez. We’re pregnant.” He goes to her and hugs her. “Oh, my God” He says while hugging her and turns away from the hug and they share a kiss they’re going to remember the rest of their lives.
