Do you think we know each other, out there somewhere?

Summary:

Saw a beautiful FanFic and needed to do my own version!

Multiverse Theory explained in a McKirk FanFic.

"His name is Black Hat and his amber eyes never leave the man cowering behind the bars. They say the sky was blue once and he can believe that it must have been as beautiful as the man´s eyes. He is like a sunbeam sitting in the dark caves of Black Hat´s home."Sunbeam" he murmurs and smiles at the sound, showing off sharp teeth but the man is not afraid of him and will never be."

Work Text:

"In this galaxy their is a mathematical propability of three million million earth-type planets...
and in all the universe, three million million galaxies like this one.
And in all of that and perhaps more, only one of each of us."
- Leonard McCoy Star Trek S1 Ep14 "Balance of Terror" -

His name is Éomer and he doesn't understand the blue eyed boy, who seems so familliar.
Jim shines like the sun, golden hair like the fields in summer. Jim rides with Éomer and he never asks questions.
Éomer knows that Jim could be a Horselord himself if he would just leave his troup and unite his own riders.
But he never does.
Instead he looks at Éomer over the fire and says "Everyone has a choice in this universe, right? Left or right?"
And he grins at the horselord, his blue eyes gleaming and Éomer knows that he is Jims choice, however weird that is.

His name is Vaako and he stares at the colorful man infront of him.
James is an exotic bird in a cage of crows and he is smart enough to know it.
Hair as bright as the suns they fly by and eyes so full of life that the mighty Warlord himself holds his breath.
Only once has Vaako asked him why he joined him when he had the chance to be free.
To his surprise James starts rambling about something he calls Multiverse-Theory and Vaako is caught by the spark in his eyes.
"That is a 50/50 split type question and when Multiverse-Theory kicks in, that means 50% of all possible universes, all existences,
have me going left, and the other 50% have me going right. We are in all of these universes but we are never the same."

His name is Dredd and he will always be surprised that the Rookie with starlight in his eyes lived that long. Jim is as reckless as can be.
Not believing in no-win scenarios.
His optimism and smile are as free as the stars that no one has seen for centuries, buried behind the smoke of humanity.
One time Jim takes a bullet near the heart, depriving Dredd of his near fate.
Later Dredd watches over his drug induced sleep and stares as Jim states with the slightest grin on his lips
"Now your once innocent normal universe has split into two different offshoots of what COULD happen.
Anywhere a change could occur; there's more existences.
Each is different in setting or name but some of us, we never change our essentials."

His name is Black Hat and his amber eyes never leave the man cowering behind the bars.
They say the sky was blue once and he can believe that it must have been as beautiful as the man´s eyes.
He is like a sunbeam sitting in the dark caves of Black Hat´s home.
"Sunbeam" he murmurs and smiles at the sound, showing off sharp teeth but the man is not afraid of him and will never be. Years later, Black Hat will ask him why he never left and Sunbeam will smile at him, razor sharp teeth reflecting the moonlight, blue eyes glowing.
"But what if I just stayed here? What about my timing? What if I want back instead? What about all these tiny little changes?"

His name is Cupid and he smiles at the man infront of him that is radiating warmth like he is the sun.
"And who might you be, gorgeous?" He asks and spreads his wings, watching in satisfaction as the man swallows hard and stares.
To his surprise the effect doesn't last long, as the man straightens and puts on the most charming smile Cupid has ever seen and he is not for nothing the God of Desire. "James, son of Thor" the man says.
They are the first Gods of different worlds to meet and like each other.
Cupid finds James waiting for him on Mt. Olympus, gazing at the stars, murmuring to himself.
"What used to be a 50/50 split is really like a billion direction split which means endless universes.
This doesn't even include the whole idea of ANYTHING being possible in theory.
Every theory, even idea, every tiny 'what if' is a new universe.
Do you think we know each other, out there somewhere?
Or do you think we were never meant to meet?"

His name is Leonard McCoy and he is numbers and symbols flashing on screens,
while the Crew of the Enterprise is working to get their Chief Medical Officer and friend back.
He is colors and a million languages and James T. Kirk will do everything he can to get him back.

>Damn Transporters, I told you these things aren´t safe! I told you a thousand times, Jim!

McCoys rant is too loud in Jim´s head and he has to take a quick walk around the bridge to clear his thoughts, before he can sit back down in his chair again.

"We can not follow him, Sir!
The numbers are too vague!
It will take us forever to find him and I am being literal here, an eternity, Captain!
This is totally new Transporter data, it is going to take us decades to understand this!
Just because we might have possible coordinates doesn't mean we should!" Scotty is running from one station to the next, shouting numbers to Checkov and Spock, receiving data from Sulu and translation from Uhura.

"Mister Scott is right. It would be advised to-" but Jim stops Spock, signaling Sulu and the Pilot grins at him.

One last time he looks around, seeing his Crew nodding their heads. He stares at the Vid Screen in front, looking at the stars beyond.

"Punch it!"
