In the middle of nothing laid everything.
Thus the sun was born.
It shone so bright, spreading light to comfort the nothing,
Leaving the stars to give it company.
And the sun hid its heat so it would not burn the nothing,
Creating the moons to cool it down.
And the sun asked the stars of its existence,
And the stars praised its warmth.
And the sun asked the stars of its purpose,
But the stars did not answer.
And the sun asked the moons of its existence,
And the moons praised its light.
And the sun asked the moons of its purpose,
But the moons did not answer.
And so the sun asked the nothing of its existence,
But the nothing did not respond.
So the sun asked the nothing of its purpose,
“In the middle of I lay everything,” the nothing replied,
“While everything is nothing at all.
Tell me, prince of the light, have you truly seen anything?”
And the sun did not respond.
“You are a child of my light, a light seen in everything.” The nothing said,
“Let me show you everything, may it be nothing at all.”
And the nothing took the stars,
And the nothing took the moons,
And the nothing reached for the sun,
“Will you accept the truth of your existence, sweet prince of light?” The nothing asked.
The sun hesitated before accepting the nothing’s gesture,
And the sun saw everything.
It saw the stars swimming with the moons,
It saw millions of planet’s creations,
It saw time, gravity, the constructs of life,
And the sun knew it's purpose.
In the middle of nothing laid everything.
And the sun became everything.
