CHAPTER ONE

It was the night of the school dance Edward danced with Bella in his arms. Not being able to hear her mind did intrigue him and he was in love and completely happy for the first time since he became a vampire. Bella was being her normal clumsy human self dancing on his feet as he whirled her around after she declared she couldn’t dance with a red blush. That was the moment he smelt it. He caught the scent before little hints around Bella but nothing like the full force that he smelt now. It was the most amazing tantalizing lust inducing smell he ever encountered and unlike his reaction to Bella it didn’t make him hunger, it made him BURN. He looked for the source of the smell and his eyes landed on the door of the gym and there stood Jacob Black. He was in a long sleeved white shirt and tie. He had cut his hair and it made him look older and sexier.
“What is it?” Edward heard Bella ask but he couldn’t answer; he could only look at the beautiful man making his way over to them.
‘Wow never been attracted to a dude before this is new Bella’s vampire boyfriend is a damn god’
Edward nearly choked when he heard those words in Jacobs head. He wanted to smile but he could see how his thoughts made him uncomfortable and he looked at Bella in apology.
‘So fucking sexy. I bet he’s fucking bomb in bed.’
Jacob thought and Edward growled.
‘Oh the things I could show you puppy’ He thought to himself.
“Behave!” Bella hissed, bringing Edward back to reality.
Jacob made his way through the crowd to them.
“Hey Bella , I was hoping you'd be here.” Jacob said with a warm smile.
Bella gave him a genuine smile then Edward remembered Bella telling him she had flirted with Jacob to get information out of him and he felt a little bit of anger rise up. At the time it didn’t seem like a big deal but now it did. Edward never could stand manipulation but he was so over the moon he brushed it off. He was still over the moon but somehow it now irked him. He realized he felt a sort of protectiveness towards the wolf.
“Hi, Jacob.” Bella smiled and batted her eyelashes up at Jacob. “What's up?” She asked.
“Can I cut in?” Jacob looked over at Edward and their eyes met. Edwards saw it all happen in Jacobs mind and he felt a thousand thought go threw his own mind the front most being ‘blessing, perfect, mate, imprint, MINE’
Jacob backed up. Edwards' face went blank.
“I got to go!” Jacob said and ran out the door.
“Edward! What did you do!” Bella huffed.
“Nothing Bella, we need to go now.” He said annoyed at the girl complaining and sighing as he drove her home. He needed to go home; he had to go to his house and explain things they needed to meet with the wolves. Jacob had imprinted and Edward had found his mate.

Jacob had been in a mood for the last month or so. When he first felt sick he had called Bella only to be told she took off by a very upset Charlie. He then learned the truth after he fazed for the first time and became a wolf then came the pack and then the responsibility.
“Jacob, I need you to do something for me and for the pack. Sam agrees it should be you to do it.” Billy Black, Jacob's dad said as he came into the room in his wheelchair.
“Another patrol! Dad, I just got home.” He complained even though he knew he would do it if they really needed him.
“No, Leah is training Seth how to do that now. We need you to go to the dance at the school tonight and warn Bella about the danger a human can be in getting mixed up with a vampire.” Billy said.
“Are you serious right now?” Jacob asked in disbelief.
“I will help you get the parts to get your car working and so will Sam if you just do this once thing.” Jacob ran his hand over his now short hair.
“Yeah, okay dad.” Jacob let out a sigh. “I should probably get changed.” Jacob found a decent pair of slacks, a dress shirt and a tie and caught a ride with Embry to Forks High School.
“My bestie is all grown up and going to his first prom.” Embry teased Jacob.
“This is so fucking jacked up dude but i want my car on the road bad.” Jacob said.
“Just go to the school, warn the leech lover to back off and maybe steal a dance or two no big deal. You got a thing for the girl right?” Embry asked.
“I did have a little crush on her at first, before I realized she straight up used me for information about her lover boy.” Jacob spat still a little bitter he fell for that.
“That’s rough buddy, alas we have made it to the mating ground of the horny teenagers.” Embry declared.
“Thanks man.” Jacob said getting out of the car and going to the school to get this over with. He froze at the door the smell was mint and lavender so pure and perfect it invited him in and then he saw Bella dancing with her vampire boyfriend and by god the man was fucking sexy.
The leech, Edward was his name, staring at him with a dark look in his eyes. Dark and hungry. Inappropriate thoughts aside things weren’t off to a bad start until he locked eyes with the beautiful vampire and imprinted. Jacob tried his best to hide his freak out and he ran from the school from his soulmate. He ran past Embry waiting for him in the parking lot he ran until he was in a familiar forest he fazed he needed to find Sam and tell him because everything just changed and he was fucked.
