Work Text:
The God of Information was snooping around one of the glitches’ rooms when she spotted it.
A peculiar mirror that did not in fact reflect her image. Rather, there was another individual in there. An individual with long dark brown hair that matches Info’s- but it fades into a deep blue. Said individual was wearing a short sleeved white blouse and a dark blue argyle patterned vest on top of it, matching their hair.
And on top of that peculiarity, they were moving on their own, not matching Info’s movements at all! So the possibility of her appearance having been changed without her knowing, was thrown out of the window.
The peculiar person was using what seems to be a small, but long, make-up brush to groom a miniature bunny figure with a red dress. They placed said figure down inside a room of the miniature house in front of them.
Curious, Info walked towards the mirror. The stranger within the mirror noticed movement towards them in their peripheral vision. They stood up from where they were sitting on an invisible floor and dropped the brush they were holding, almost hitting the other miniature bunny figures. It rolled a little bit away while they walked towards where the mirror was.
Info was now face to face with the peculiar individual that resides within the mirror™ and it seems that they are taller than her. Said individual stared at her down, a glint of threat was found in their eyes.
“What are you doing here?” They asked in an almost tired voice. “You’re not supposed to be here.” They raised their eyebrow in a questioning manner.
Info gulped. “I… was looking for a book.” she settled. Why was she feeling intimidated? She’s a literal god! …But then again, she’s never known of such entity and she’s literally Information itself! Such odd things have been happening to their world lately and it’s worrying her- now’s not the time to think about those.
The stranger furrows their eyebrows. “And what book in particular were you looking for..?” They questioned her.
Info looked to the left- a habit she hasn’t grown out of. “....Lessons.” she answered nervously.
The, quite frankly, intimidating individual, leaned their body back. Huh, they didn’t even realize they leaned in… They raised one of their eyebrows at her and wondered out loud. “And why were you looking for that? I’m pretty sure that book is only given to the glitches and you are clearly not a glitch.” The corners of their lips turned down into a subtle frown, not that Info noticed.
Info moved her eyes to the right, scratching her wrists. “Uhm… I’m just wondering what it’s about, that’s all.” she said.
The stranger then put on their resting face. “Why didn’t you just ask the glitches, then?” they inquired.
Info finally moved her eyes to look at the mirror again. “I… I did. They just said it’s not important.” she stated.
The figure within the mirror still held the same resting face. “Well then, it’s not important so stop wasting your time looking for it.” they concluded.
Info’s eyes widened just a little bit, they might’ve even missed it, if it weren’t for the fact that everything is being described, narrated, like a book. Her eyebrows furrowed and her lips turned into a frown- almost a scowl without the teeth-baring.
“Well,” she started, something sounding like a chuckle was heard when she said this word “that can’t be right!” she continued “They seem to make such a big deal about it so surely it’s gotta be important right?!”
The stranger sighed. “It’s not important when it comes to you.” they asserted. “You don’t need it. It is not relevant to what you do, or your world. The lessons are given to the glitches because they have their specific purposes that you don’t fulfill." They spoke harshly. They continued “So go on, return to your little realm and don’t bother them, or us again.” they finished, turning their head to the right in a display of displeasure.
But Info wasn’t done. There was something odd about this entity, there’s an aura of familiarity around them and yet, they are completely alien to her. “What are you? Who are you?” she interrogated.
The entity of the mirror turned their head back to her, a scowl on their face, the glint of threat is back in their eyes. She was suddenly struck with fear, something she doesn’t usually experience since what is there to fear about when you’re the second most powerful being in Spectacular?
But this was not Spectacular, her mind supplied. Surprisingly, the mysterious entity sighed and placed their right hand in front of their face. They sighed and seemed to have calmed themself down. Their resting face was back.
“Well, I am quite bored, so I guess I’ll humor some of your questions.” they decided, mentally smirking for what they have planned. Oh they have been waiting for so long to reveal such… truths. Truths that those who aren’t glitches are not prepared for.
Info was thrown off with the sudden change in attitude of this mysterious entity, but at least she’ll have some answers? Her gut isn’t telling her to deny this offer so she stays.
“I am… The Creator.” they settled. “I am the one who creates- or well, the manifestation of it, I guess.” they semi-mumbled that last part, looking off to the temporarily abandoned toys on the invisible floor. “Any other questionssssss..?” they turned their head back to the god, prolonging the last ‘s’ sound in the sentence.
‘Yes actually, I have a LOT more questions.’
The god thought. “What do you mean you are the manifestation of… the one who creates..?”
The Creator sighed. Why do they keep on sighing I swear to Death- “There are like, three manifestations. Creator, Interactor, and Spectator. The last two can both be classified as Spectator though.” they answered.
“A Creator creates worlds, realms, ch- individuals….” their volume lowered a bit in that last part. “A Spectator is an entity that, well, spectates said worlds, and individuals. The Interactor part of Spectator is when they uh, sort of talk or like, interact with the Creator I guess?” they sounded a bit unsure on that last part but she can’t be picky with information right now considering this is the first, and likely the last time she will ever hear about this.
“Any more questionz..?” The Creator asked, pronouncing the last ‘s’ as ‘z’.
Info looked back up to them. Well she did have a lot more questions but all that information is messing with her brain somehow. So she settled with a simple one instead. “Do you… have a name?”
The Creator raised both their eyebrows a bit. “Yes… yes I do.” they replied.
Okay, that frustrated Info a little bit, but she then decides that she is too tired for this so with such a great mind like hers, she decided to go back home and take a nap.
Sighing, she informs The Creator of her amazing plan. “Yeah no, I’m going back home and taking a nap.” she declared, showcasing a tired look on her face.
The Creator raised their eyebrows a bit more. That was a bit disappointing. Still though, that doesn’t mean their fun has to just end here, they haven’t even gotten to the interesting part yet!
“Mmm, alright then.” they replied. She slouched a bit and turned to head towards the door but just a few steps before she could reach the door, Creator interrupted.
“Oh and by the way, Knowledge,” they started. “I know that I seem familiar to you and that you have been wondering about where you may know me from.” they said.
Now, she was unnerved. Creator didn’t mind, in fact, it seemed that they just enjoyed it. “I am actually… sort of the reincarnation of Creation. And yes, she’s dead, by the way.” they said nonchalantly.
The God of Information tensed up, a shocked and disbelieving expression was plastered on her face.
‘Wh-what?! Th-that.. that can’t be… No. No, no, no, no no… This is all a trick! This..! It-it can’t possibly be! How?! She had witnessed Creation’s exile with her own eyes- a-and according to the known laws of interdimensional travel, one simply cannot die when they are in a foreign world! So then how could-’
She turned to face back the mirror where she could see Creator looking at her with a smug face. She was about to demand answers but Creator had other plans. “Buh-bye~” they said with a cheshire grin, waving their right hand at her slowly, while their head rested on their left hand.
The next thing she saw was darkness.
…But you see, none of these ever really happened. Not canonically, at least. But, who knows? Perhaps this will actually be added into canon as some sort of chapter… The script is always changing, after all. Well, for now though it is only a part of a huge alternate reality called “Concept”. Without context, this reality would be confusing, but that’s because all concepts (some that contradict others, in fact) that have been made with Spectacular or its other alternate realities in mind, but have not been added into their ‘canon’ are stored in here.
And yes, The Creator is aware of all of these. It was a fun, interesting little experiment to be a part of. One that was made by the true creator of all their realms, realities, and timelines; The Author. But, none of these pieces of information really matter. After all…
This has nothing to do with the story.
