Shaking off the rest of the snow that had accumulated in my overcoat, I was at the door of Jess and Lupe's apartment, my college friends, I didn't even have to knock on the door of the twentieth floor of their apartment, when a very euphoric Jess opened the door, smiling then hugging me inviting me to enter his apartment, when I entered the noise of music and a lot of buzz that I had heard outside, it became much louder, when I entered the apartment visualizing the whole house, there were many people in that apartment, my friends had announced that they had finished renovating the house, and that the downstairs was all ready, just a few details were missing on the, upstairs, I admired the house, I didn't know that the place had become huge with the renovations, still smiling, I noticed that among the guests there were some friends I already knew and some I didn't know, Lupe came quickly to meet me, hugging me, demonstrating that she was happy with my presence, I took off my overcoat, Lupe o took it and disappeared with it, for that night I opted to let my hair down, I chose a round neck dress, thigh-length and with sleeves up to the wrist of my hand, my black boots matched the green of my dress and still made me made it four inches taller, which was great.

The party spun merrily through the minutes that passed, my friends pledged me by wishing me a happy birthday, people laughed, and sang, drinking and enjoying the wonderful feast that was on the table and some drinks served in the bar located on the other side of the house, while several songs with a strong beat were released throughout the apartment and the liveliest ones danced in the middle of the room where the main dance floor was.
My eyes started to roam the whole room, I was holding a shy sparkling champagne that I hadn’t tried yet, I was leaning against the wall, near the glass window, I could also see the whole city in light and bustling it was always like that in New York at daily party feeling, I sighed, turned my eyes back to the dance floor, at that exact moment another electronic music started to play and the games of light illuminated the floor and walls.
