Work Text:
Han Jisung was going to marry Lee Minho— that much he was aware of.
Lee Minho was laying down while he waited for Han Jisung to come back from the bathroom. after spending the day out with one another, seeing a bit more of australia during their date, they had finally come back to the hotel room to settle down.
"jagiya hurry up! i miss you and the bed is starting to feel lonely..." minho lets out an exaggerated sigh and juts his lip out as he opens his mouth to let out another whine.
"ah... lee know hyung, did you miss me that much? we've been together all day" han says as he pops up from the bathroom, his hair wrapped in a towel.
slowly (in minho's opinion, TOO slowly) han shifts onto the bed and turns his back to minho, allowing the older to sit up and take off the towel. readjusting the fabric and drying his boyfriend's hair as he allows himself to comfortably sit behind him.
"all done" minho says filling the previously quiet air, only listening to their breaths. biting his lip, he lets out a soft sigh and pushes his face in between han's neck, "and can you maybe sing me to sleep hannie-ah..?"
grabbing minho by his waist, han pulls him into a spooning position, soft smile in turn as a silent agreement. the room fills with silence as he thinks of what song he could sing to his beloved boyfriend.
feeling han shift and seem to light up with an idea, minho tilts his head up to look into han's eyes. only to find his boyfriend staring back at him, eyes filled love and adoration, nothing but fondness found in them.
the younger starts humming slowly, whispering a song he's been wanting to sing to minho for a while;
baby, take my hand...
reaching under the blanket, minho grabs onto han's hands and giggles, the younger's smile only widening
i want you to be my husband
minho looks into han's eyes, trying to find the usual teasing glint in them, suddenly opening his mouth slightly when he sees only a serious tone in his eyes.
cause you're my iron man, and i love you 3000
the older's vision becomes blurred, soon becoming filled with tears threatening to spill out. only when one finally falls, han quickly wipes the tear away with his thumb.
some of the song has gone by without realization, focusing on time to hear his boyfriend say those words that 100% made his heart explode from happiness and curiosity
and all i can think is, where is the ring? cause i really want to ask, scared the moment will pass
lifting himself and minho up, han turns his body to grab something from the drawer next to the hotel bed. slowly getting off the bed, pulling the older to sit at the edge of it. han jisung gets on one knee, voice shaking as he sings one last line.
baby take my hand, i want you to be my husband
"lee minho, you are my best friend, my soulmate, my first and last love. you are who i see my future with, who i see growing old with. you are who i see being by my side, even after we're done being on stage, even when we aren't famous anymore. i see you by my side and i want to see you on our wedding day, i want to see you in a pretty tuxedo and i want to see your children being little ring bearers and walk around with flowers down the aisle. so my heart and soul, will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?"
quickly wiping away his tears, minho lets out a wet laugh, "our," he whispers the last part of the sentence, "my babies are yours too, they're ours."
a beat of silence as han laughs fondly at minho, heart full of joy when the older opens his mouth to answer the question.
"yes han jisung, yes i would love to be your husband, i couldn't ask for anything better. i love you so much, i'm not the best with words, but you make me want to write love letters and love filled songs about. yes i will marry you."
quickly nodding his head, han's smile becomes a thousand times more beautiful as his eyes turn into moon crescents. the younger quickly fits the ring onto minho's ring finger, sitting perfectly, as if it was made to be there.
minho grabs han by the collar and kisses him, the overwhelming feeling of love and affection filling the kiss. there was going to be a lot of different emotions and struggles that would come with being married, but at that moment both of them knew everything would be worth it. as long as they had each other.
