Lo'ak found himself sitting on top of a branch while the fresh rain that eywa provided fell from the clouds, landing everywhere it could touch
"Baby bro, come on" lo'ak ears twitched at the voice, he sighed knowing what his older brother, neteyam, wanted from him
"We don't have much time, dad has asked for you we are leaving soon" neteyam said making his way up the slippery wood the tree had
"I'm coming.." lo'ak replied as he stood up and turned to look at his older brother, their tails moving around to find balance
Lo'ak watched with sad eyes as his brother turned and made his way through the forest back to their home tree, lo'ak began to follow shortly after
Lo'ak didn't want to see his father to the point he stopped on a branch and looked up at the sky beginning to get lost on his own thoughts, regret filled his expression as a voice in his head that sounded just like himself asked him stupid questions 'why? Why did you have to go to that specific part of the forest? Why? Why can't you stop being a troublemaker? WHY? WHY CANT YOU STOP BEING RECKLESS?! '
Blurr filled lo'ak's eye sight, he took it as the rain falling and landing in his eyes making them water up, but deep down he knew that it wasn't rain but his own tears finally slipping through the high wall he'd built to keep them away
"C'mon skxqwng! Dad's gonna get mad" neteyam yelled bringing lo'ak back from his thoughts of regret. Oh, how he wished he could turn back time and fix this mess
Lo'ak glaced forwards while dropping his head down, he didn't noticed his ears down untill he got to the home tree where tuk told him
"Come on boys." Their father Jake said with a broken but seriously tone
Lo'ak held his head high to look like he could take it, he was a warrior. If this was the end then so be it ' they felt pity for you. You don't even deserve it ' the voice said making lo'ak look down slightly
Once the ceremony to announce the new leader, the olo'eyktan was over the lo'ak followed his father who was infront of his brother and his brother infront of him. They made their way towards their ikran's that were already packed with their stuff
Lo'aks ikran, am'u, made a small noice as it noticed it's leader, lo'ak gave her a small smile while he made his way towards her, he noticed she was excited to be going on a flying trip, lo'ak always knew she choose him for the adventures he'd have by her side
Lo'ak grabbed his queue and made tsaheylu as he mounted her, she flapped her wings yet staying on the ground with a loud growling sound
"Yea, I know it's been a while girl" lo'ak said patting her neck
"Let's go" lo'ak heard his father say, he turned to see his mother saying her goodbyes to her mother aka his grandma, he watched as she mounted her banshee while she carried tuk in her arms
Lo'aks attention went straight to a screeching ikran noise and the sound of flapping wings, Jake was already on the air with Bob, his banshee.
He watched as his whole family followed behind his father, am'u let out a small goo noise at lo'ak letting lo'ak know she wouldn't go without him telling her too
"Right, let's go girl" lo'ak said, as soon the the banshee heard those words she flapped her wings to fly with an excited noise as they continue onwards into who know where
After a few hours of flying am'us excitement slowly left leaving a bored banshee, lo'ak noticed the water under them becoming clear as day, he could see what was under there.
Lo'ak looked closing as he say something moving in the water, it seemed small from how high lo'ak was but he could make it to be some sort of creature, it seemed to have a na'vi like body but it was far more thicker then lo'ak body which made him think he was hallucinating
Lo'ak eyed the creature as it resurfaced and stood their for a minute, suddenly another creature appeared, he watched as the other one mounted it and they dived together into the depths of the water while riding forward, way faster then lo'aks family banshee's
"Are we there yet..?" Tuk asked rubbing her eyes, it had been a few minutes since lo'ak saw the creature
"Yes, we are" Jake replied
Everyone looked forwards to see a tiny beach surrounded by rocks as if it were hidden, they followed Jake to do a spin meaning they came in peace as a horn was blown, once they landed the sully family dis mounted their banshee and thanked them for the ride, lo'ak saw am'us excitement come back as soon as he dismounted her
He made his way towards his brother side as the thicker, taller and lighter colored na'vi gathered around them, suddenly two boys walked infront of lo'ak and neteyam, one boy was shorter than the other. Lo'ak noticed neteyam making the 'iseeyou' sign to them and he follow suit though they didn't return it
Lo'ak watched as the boy's made their way behind them
"Are those supposed to be tails?" The shorter one snickered pointing to their tails, lo'ak didn't find that funny but he noticed the taller one not Laughing at his shorter friends little joke instead he kept his eyes locked on the ocean
Suddenly everyone's attention went to the water, a beautiful girl swam towards them then started walking in slow motion
"Stop that!" She said while slapping the shorter ones hand, getting the taller ones attention but then he looked away just as quick. The girl turned to face lo'ak and his brother
"Hey" lo'ak said but then getting embarrassed and looking down, lo'ak didn't see the girl smile and blush while he dropped her head
A grown na'vi made his arrival, lo'ak assumed he was the olo'eyktan in this clan and he was right
"Tonowari" Jake said doing the 'iseeyou' greeting
"Torukto makto" the grown na'vi said returning his greeting
Lo'ak was already bored of their conversation, he found himself locking eyes with the taller boy from before, Lo'ak noticed the boy stare turned into a glare which lo'ak was confused about, so he ignored it he turned back around and after a few minutes a woman came
The woman didn't even greet them she went straight to studying them, lo'ak couldn't make what she was saying since he was blinded by rage that is untill she grabbed his had and raised it up that he came back from his sense's
"THEY HAVE DEMON BLOOD!" she yelled lo'ak watched as the na'vi's took a step back and gasped, lo'ak looked to the ground and remembered the na'vi girl
He turned to look at her she had a sad expression, the shorter one was shocked while the taller one.. wasn't paying any attention..? Lo'ak stared at the na'vi that was once again staring at the sea
When the woman let go do to lo'ak's mother, lo'ak grabbed his hand with his other one and turned to look at the women's the were hissing at each other
He then turned to the boy again but saw he wasn't there, lo'ak felt like he should go to the ocean but snapped out of his thoughts when the grown man spoke
"They may stay here, they'll be like babies taking their first step but I trust you'll treat them as one of our own." The na'vi named tonowari said
"My daughter tsireya," the man pointed at the beautiful girl lo'ak say before
"And my son aonung.." tonowari added but couldn't find his son anywhere
Lo'ak saw the girl whispering something in her father's ears and he looked at the sea pointed at it, lo'ak and the other's turned to lock eyes with the taller boy that was walking to be next to his father
"And my son aonung, will teach you our ways" he repeated his sentence completed and pointing at the taller boy
Lo'ak saw the boy's eyes widened and a frown settled on his face, he took one step forward and opened his mouth to protest but was stopped by his father's hand. Tonowari turned around and left as the crowd did the same
"Follow me! I'll show you our village!" Tsireya said with a smile, which lo'ak happily happily returned
He still didn't know if he was accepted but that could wait for another day, right?
