Work Text:

Reimu felt restless. She had spent the whole day boxed in her shrine, tending to the never-ending stream of visitors who came to seek help. As much as she treasured her job as a shrine maiden, sometimes she felt as if she needed a break.

So she settled for a walk.

She put on her red and white shrine maiden outfit and fastened her hair back with a bow. She grabbed her gohei staff and headed out the door, feeling the cool air blow against her skin.

The sun was shining brightly, casting a warm glow over the landscape. Reimu walked down the path that led away from the shrine, enjoying the peaceful solitude.

As she walked, she couldn't help but stop to admire the various flowers and plants that lined the pathway. Bright pink camellias lit up the path, while cool blue hydrangea bushes stood alongside them. She then spotted a couple of sakura trees, their delicate pink blossoms swaying gently in the breeze.

Reimu continued on her walk, feeling more relaxed with each step. As she passed by a small stream, the soothing sound of water splashing over the rocks filled her ears. She noticed the white lotus flowers sitting atop the floating lily pads, adding to the serene atmosphere.

She walked for what felt like hours, only thinking about the beauty around her. Suddenly, she spotted a group of fairies playing in a nearby meadow, their carefree stunts bringing a smile to her face.

Eventually, the sun began to set, and Reimu knew it was time to head back to her shrine. After taking one final look at the scenery, she began to retrace her steps back to her shrine.

As she entered her shrine, she felt a sense of calm wash over her, causing her to gently smile. The walk had cleared her mind and given her the energy she needed to face the challenges that lay ahead.

Reimu recognized that sometimes, the best thing to do was to step away from her duties and take a moment for herself. She vowed that she would make time for more walks in the future
