Chapter Text

It was unexpected.

Unheard of upon the na'vi.

Two children being birthed on the same day?

Within one pregnancy?

Impossible.

Until it wasn't.

Neteyam had been born, being presented to the clan hours prior.

He had been raised, presented to the eye of Eywa.

Then, Neytiri began screaming again in pain.

Her first birth experience was not over.

Her mother had held her for hours, placing her exhausted body into a hot spring.

When asked why the baby was taking so long, her mother answered,

"Do not rush Eywa's creation, ma'ite. They will come. Just be patient."

The shining sun had set as the stars started to shine.

It had grew dark when she had started to push again.

She pushed and pushed, the clear waters around her becoming darker as the babe tried to escape into their world.

They were breached.

Neytiri screamed into the night sky, the people who had came back watched anxiously.

Mo'at had guided her through the pain, doing everything that she could.

Jake held a fussy Neteyam, as he was still lost to this world.

Mo'at had refused for Neytiri to bond with him until his twin was born.

Until then, all he could do was hold him as securely as he could as they all listened to his mate's screams.

Everyone sighed in relief at the tsahik's words.

"They're almost here! Push, ma'ite!"

One.

Two.

Three big pushes later, Neytiri slumped in relief as Mo'at's hands went under to catch the babe.

Their small face, peaceful, finally took their first breath and cry as they broke the surface of the warm water.

The baby was... different.

A good different in their family's eyes.

Their skin was a dark navy blue, almost black.

They had many tanhì and bleached dots and spots on their skin.

They shined as did the stars above, their tiny hands reaching out to they sky.

And her eyes?

They were indescribable, being all kinds of browns, dots of white scattering within them.

There was a hole universe in her eyes.

The babe was placed in Neytiri's arms, Neytiri sobbing in relief and love at the babe.

Jake came closer, both babies screaming at the top of their lungs.

Although they were lost to Eywa'eveng, their souls had knew the others.

Neteyam was placed beside the girl in his mother's arms, the two calming down somewhat.

"It's a girl."

Neytiri croaked out to her muntxatan.

She had watched as Jake too her small body into his hands.

Ma Eywa, she could comfortably fit in both of them, her breathing calming as she was lifted.

Presented to the eye of Eywa.

"... Tanhì!"

His clan repeated the name, Neytiri could only smile as she watched her first baby girl reach for the sky, her eyes wide and filled with wonder.

She was set down and back into her mother's arms.

Finally, the bond between the three was made.

The two babes giggle, both of their tails wrapping around one another's as Neytiri could only smile.

"Tiri, look."

Her mate points up to the sky.

A new twinkle tried to make its way in the sky, before disappearing.

Huh.

Mo'at guided her exhausted but happy daughter to Utral Aymokriyä.

The babes were both in Neytiri's arms, their tail refusing to untangle themselves.

Then, it happened.

They had finally found there place, with the great mother.

On Eywa'eveng.

Their pupils become big before their bodies relax.

They were no longer lost, their Mother showing them things of their life that were to come.

They shined brightly as they smiled, Tanhì looking to the sky once more before their small and frail bodies fall into their first sleep.

Jake had stared lovingly at the babes, but specifically his baby girl.

This new star, both in his muntxate's arms and in the sky, was going to change his life.

And he didn't mind it.
