Work Text:
Higuchi decided to let go for a bit and go clubbing. Being a mafioso's subordinate wasn't an easy job and she also tended to her sister's needs so often leaving little time for her- except tonight would be an exception.
She was invited by other mafiosos to go clubbing and accepted (even if Akutagawa-senpai would not be in attendance.) and decided it would be her opportunity to let loose. She decided on wearing a flowy white v-neck dress that rested just above her knees paired with lacy heart tights, combat boots and an oversized leather jacket. She felt pretty and wanting to stay out of her comfort she opted to plait the upper sides of her hair leaving the rest down which was rather unusual as she only left her hair down on rare occasions such as deceiving people like the armed detective agency.
She hugged her sister goodbye for the night as she headed to her destination. The Bar Lupin was only a few roads away from her apartment as both were near the port mafia headquarters so she got there quickly she instantly spotted most of the group as the three gingers stuck out within the crowd. Chuuya already seemed intoxicated with Koyou scolding him and Higuchi noted how strange it was seeing her out of traditional clothes and in a tight-fitting midi dress.
She saw Tachihara grabbing a drink, Hirotsu-san just sitting in a corner and Kaji attempting to chat up a local woman on lemons and greeting everyone before heading to the bar. She notes that both Gin and Akutagawa-senpai were not in attendance before ordering just simply a glass of plum wine (umeshu)...And that is when she saw such a captivating woman.
She spoke softly as Higuchi grabbed her glass and she ordered malt liquor and Ichiyo instantly turned to look at the owner of such a pretty voice to find the owner to be completely ravishing. She was wearing a white shirt (opened at the neck revealing the delicate pale skin underneath) covered by a corset top and tie, a short black skirt, a long pearl necklace and a black cap on her long black hair draping down her back down to the start of her thighs. She noticed the attention she got from the blonde and flushed a pink, which Higuchi found incredibly personable, before speaking, "Hello, can I help you?" she said staring at Ichiyo quizzically hand on the bar next to Higuchi's millimetres away from touching.
Higuchi instantly went so scarlet it was basically maroon as she stammered unsure of why she was so affected by the woman in front of her. "Hi," she said before running off leaving the black-haired femme fatale by herself.
She returned to the group but as she tries to collect her thoughts, the gorgeous woman followed suit. She walked up and Chuuya and Koyou seemed to be familiar with her so she assumed she was a friend. She could feel the inky black eyes (which were oddly similar to Gin's) on her all evening and returned a few deep glances but didn't utter a word to her most of the night as she was convinced she would drown in the shambles of nerves she was becoming.
At one point Tachihara and the mystery girl walked off and Higuchi felt a great disappointment and was still rather curious about her feelings for the other woman. She soon went to the bathroom, wrapped up in her thoughts, to reapply her lipstick as it had smudged on her class. When she left she noticed the back door to the bar was open and Tachihara came through re-entering the bar and coughing a bit as soon as he saw Higuchi he instantly went over with a bright smile "Hey nee-san, how are you? You look nice tonight." he said hugging her quickly before heading back to the group.
Higuchi then walked to the back door hoping to see her paramour. She walked closer to see the girl with a box of cigarettes in her hand. She walked up to Higuchi causing her to almost die from the confounding feeling of the situation. The raven beauty bestowed a cigarette to Higuchi and as she glanced at it she realised it had the woman's phone number on it and Higuchi accepted it.
She then rather eloquently hid it in her pocket like she was a magician which her black-haired beau seemed impressed by. "You should call me some time Ichiyo~" the girl sang intoxicated to some degree before grabbing Higuchi by the collar and kissing the blonde's lips in a not-so-gracious manner.
And after the few glasses of wine Higuchi had mixed with a burning desire to be closer to the woman she accepted. The woman tasted sweet likely from the malt liquor. Higuchi's paramour pulled away, leaving the poor lesbian breathless. "What's your name?" Higuchi blurted out.
Her beau frowned, "You don't recognise me? Well I suppose my identity can be revealed later. Farewell Ichiyo~" the woman said kissing Higuchi's cheek and stumbling slightly walking away.
Higuchi kept the number of her mystery sweetheart like a guarded secret and after her busy week at work, she dialled it. The soft voice answered, "Hello?"
"Hello! I was wondering if you wanted to go out sometime. There's a nice café nearby and it's supposed to be very nice." Higuchi asked bouncing with nerves.
"S-sure, see you soon." her beau mumbled quietly after a long pause.
Higuchi instantly panicked about what to wear. She settled on a cream two-piece shirt with a kind collar and buttons and then long sleeves paired with a black faux leather skirt and the sunglasses she wore during missions to give herself confidence.
She got to the cafe and ordered herself a hot chocolate before assessing everyone there. Then she saw a familiar face strolling by. Gin was there with their spiky ponytail, and white gauze mask but rather fashionable in a faux leather trench coat and flowy pants and heels poking through alongside round sunglasses. Surprisingly they strolled up to Higuchi instantly taking their sunglasses off and saying, "I hope I'm not too late." Gin said and Higuchi, very much perplexed, noticed they were masking some nerves about the whole situation
And like a snake shedding their skin, she removed her mask and coat revealing Gin to be Higuchi's paramour. She was as stunning as ever in a cropped tied-up shirt with a vest-like bralette poking out from underneath, black bootcut pants, heeled boots (that Higuchi admired the dedication to walk in) and an array of jewellery. Higuchi almost fell head over heels for her all over again.
However, the raven-haired master of disguise had appeared to have lost all forwardness as their passionate moment behind Bar Lupin had mainly occurred due to a mixture of allure and alcohol and now she was a rather timid creature. Higuchi was still fond regardless and knew she had fallen for her senpai's sister...
...And she would definitely go on another date with Gin Akutagawa...More than one.
