Work Text:

“Ughhhhh, 5 more minutes…” Boucheron groaned under his breath as he slammed his maroon pillow into his face and turned over in his bed.

Knock, knock, knock!

“Mmmmm I’m still sleepy, please just 5…”

Knock, knock, knock!

“No, my prince, please give me 5 more..." He muttered as he scrunched up into a ball and hugged his duvet.

"But I have something for you!" Laughed a female voice as she knocked on the door once again, this time a little louder.

"Fine, I'll get up Alfred..." Said Boucheron, defeated, as he lazily sat up and wiped his sleepy eyes.

Suddenly, his chamber door burst open and he was met with a gasp and a wide-eyed Alear, staring at his shirtless body and ruffled brown hair in the midst of getting up to start the day.

“D..Divine One! What are you doing here?!’ He loudly whispered as he scrambled to grab his orange shirt from his bedside table.

"I was just bringing you a cup of tea! Céline asked me to! She got a new blend and wanted everyone to wake up to it!" Said Alear in a panic, covering her eyes and racing to give Boucheron his tea, being careful not to let it spill. "I-I'm sorry! I will go now!"

"N-No, it's okay. You don't need to leave. You just startled me, that's all." Smiled Boucheron as he took the teacup out of her hand, his voice still raspy from waking up. "Ohhhh, it smells lovely! Who made this?"

"Oh, it was me... I wanted to help out, hopefully it tastes good..." She blushed as she fiddled with her hands and tried to look anywhere but his abs, which was rather a difficult task.

All Alear could think about was how handsome he was in the mornings. She thought it at every other point too, but Boucheron was always too oblivious to notice that she was interested. Instead of confessing her feelings, she always kept them a secret because she couldn't even comprehend the thought of him feeling the same way. Despite this, she also didn't think that the way Boucheron's every waking breath captivated her should be in the forefront of her mind in the middle of a war, so she would always bore Ivy with her feelings for him before important battles so she could shake off her giddiness and push it to the back of her mind; it rarely worked.

Boucheron took a sip of the tea, it had a distinct lemon flavouring with notes of honey lingering in his mouth. "Wow, this is fantastic! You have a way with making drinks, Divine One!" He enthused as he dropped his shirt and happily kept drinking.

"Thank you! I'm not the best at keeping the kitchen clean so Louis had to clean up behind me as I spilt things everywhere, but I'm glad to hear it turned out good!" She giggled as she sat beside him on the bed.

"Oh, how rude of me, I didn't invite you to sit! Ignore the messy sheets, I'm sorry." He spluttered as he looked at his surroundings. He looked at Alear and smiled, "You're looking lovely this morning, by the way!"

Alear could feel her face heating up as she silently screamed on the inside as she couldn't quite believe her ears. They had never been completely alone before so she wasn't so sure what to expect; she barely expected to be staying and having a chat at all.

"...Did I say something wrong?" Boucheron said concerningly as he put down his teacup and looked at Alear's furiously red face.

"No, no you didn't! Sorry, I guess I'm just a little flustered." Alear said as she was desperately finding something at the edge of her mind to talk about to change the subject. In the corner of her eye, she saw a gorgeous Sapphire book with a leather bookmark on top. "So this is why you're so tired this morning, then?" She sarcastically remarked.

"Oh, yeah! It's called 'Swim to Me'. It's about two fish who get separated in the ocean and go on a journey to find each other! It's a beautiful book, I truly recommend it!" He said with tears forming in his eyes.

"That does sound beautiful, what happens when they find each other?" Enquired Alear as she smirked at the tears dripping down Boucheron's cheeks.

He reached across her to grab the book. "If you're interested, let me show you the artwork at the back of the book while I explain, it's incredible!" He said, stumbling on his words. It was almost as though he wasn't expecting her to take any interest in what he does in his day-to-day life. It was almost as though he wanted her to be interested.

Boucheron edged a little closer as he flipped through to the back pages. He explained what happened when they saw each other, going into great detail. His enthusiasm made Alear's heart melt, she loved hearing him talk like this about something. She smiled as she continued to listen intently to every word he had to say. After a while, Boucheron handed her the book. "There's some more artwork in there, I thought it would be easier for you to go through it yourself." He said beaming. She took the book and had a look. The colours were striking and she could feel the love for the story radiating out from the pages; it was no wonder it moved him to tears. Whilst she was doing this, Boucheron stared at her to see her reactions. Or so she thought.

His gaze flicked between her glistening eyes and her lips. His heart began to flutter as she contently looked at the pages with such engrossment that it added to his attraction to her. "Divine One, it's wonderful to see you take such an interest in what I like. I would never expect that from anyone!"

"Why would I not take an interest in it? You like it, and I like you. I care about what you care about." Alear stated as she looked up at him; she seemed tiny in comparison when they sat side by side, almost like she could perfectly fit into his arms.

The room suddenly went quiet as their eyes locked. Neither of them uttered a word. Their blushing faces and stumbling over words seemed to have them both captivated by each other, but they were both stuck, frozen with apprehension. Boucheron slightly lifted his bare arm towards her neck, but he couldn't help but hesitate. He didn't know if making a move was the right move. He knew he didn't have time to think about the fine details, and just went with what his heart was telling him.

He gently placed his fingertips underneath her chin as Alear gasped. "Boucheron..." She whispered as she removed her eyes from his and succumbed to his touch. He moved his hand upwards and leaned in.

"Is this okay, Divine One?" He asked before he took things any further. She nodded as she could feel his warm, lemon-scented breath against her lips. Before she knew it, their lips collided.

His lips felt as smooth as velvet, they fit perfectly into hers like they were made to be there. She placed her hand against his exposed chest and pulled him in closer with the other as their tongues danced in unison. The taste of honey oozed from his mouth which gave her a greater sense of urgency to fall deeper into the moment, and deeper into him. Boucheron entangled his fingers in her lustrous locks as he gently tugged her closer to his body. The feeling of her touching his chest was likened to an angel blessing him with luck, the warm feeling pushing him to a breaking point. "Divine One..." He softly moaned into her mouth. She pulled away from his lips as he desperately chased after them with his own.

"Call me Alear." She mumbled as she brought her finger up to his mouth and dragged it down. It drove Boucheron wild.

"Alear..." He uttered as he dragged it away and his lips met hers once more. It was as though he was using her as a source of oxygen that he could only temporarily be apart from; he needed her kiss at this moment more than he needed air. He did not expect to be so enthralled by her remarkable skills but he allowed himself to be swept out to sea in her ocean, allowing her to take control. She affectionately bit into his lip and opened her eyes to watch the pleasure flood his face; it was all she had wanted to see. Her kisses began to turn sloppy as she could feel herself trailing off into ecstasy.

Eventually, Boucheron gently moved away from Alear and tucked her loose strands of hair behind her ears. "Alear, that was wonderful." He blissfully giggled as he held her in his embrace, his sweat dripping down his body.

"Yeah, I'm glad I didn't leave this morning..." She laughed in delight as she wrapped her arms around him. The intensity and passion of their kiss left her breathless; the best kind of breathless anybody could ever experience. He was an even better kisser than she could've ever imagined.

"Come here, let's lay and cuddle together for a while. After all, we do need to think of what we're going to say to everyone when we finally leave this room..." Chuckled Boucheron as he shuffled Alear's head onto his chest and laid down with her, their legs intertwined.

"Yeah..." She grinned as she nuzzled herself into his shoulder and enjoyed the last of their peaceful morning together.
