Work Text:
Before the day of the assassination, Isagi found himself standing on the rooftop of Kunugigaoka Junior High School, overlooking the city below. He felt a heavy weight on his heart, knowing that tomorrow would be the day his beloved teacher, Koro-sensei, would be executed.
As he waited, Isagi's mind drifted back to the day he received the letter inviting him to join the Blue Lock program. At that time, he had felt lost and unsure of himself. But Koro-sensei had been there, encouraging him to take the leap and chase his dreams.
Isagi closed his eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves. He didn't want to show any weakness in front of Koro-sensei, even though he knew that his teacher would understand.
Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice behind him, and he turned to see Koro-sensei standing there with his characteristic grin.
"Yo, Isagi-kun. What are you doing up here all by yourself?" Koro-sensei asked.
Isagi tried to force a smile, but his emotions were getting the best of him. He couldn't hold back the tears as he realized that this might be the last time he would ever see his mentor.
"Koro-sensei...tomorrow is the day...," Isagi choked out between sobs.
Koro-sensei placed a hand on Isagi's shoulder. "I know, Isagi-kun. But remember, even if I'm not physically here, I'll always be with you in your heart."
Isagi felt a glimmer of hope in his heart as Koro-sensei continued to speak.
"Remember what I taught you, Isagi-kun. Never give up on your dreams, no matter how hard the path may seem. You have the strength and courage to face any challenge that comes your way."
Isagi couldn't hold back the tears any longer as he listened to Koro-sensei's words of wisdom. He felt a sense of gratitude wash over him, knowing that his teacher believed in him even in his darkest hour.
"Thank you, Koro-sensei," Isagi whispered, his voice breaking. "Thank you for everything."
Koro-sensei smiled. "You're welcome, Isagi-kun. And remember, no matter what happens, I'll always be proud of you. You're going to do great things in the future."
With those words, Koro-sensei turned and walked away, leaving Isagi alone on the rooftop.
Isagi watched as his teacher disappeared into the distance, tears streaming down his face. He knew that tomorrow would be one of the hardest days of his life, but he also knew that he would never forget the lessons that Koro-sensei had taught him. He would carry his teacher's words of encouragement and inspiration with him always, as he pursued his dreams with everything he had.
Isagi wiped away his tears and took a deep breath. He knew that Koro-sensei would want him to be strong and to keep moving forward, no matter what obstacles he faced.
He turned to leave the rooftop, but as he did, a flood of memories washed over him. Memories of all the times he had spent with his classmates, learning, laughing, and growing together. Memories of the challenges they had faced and overcome, both as individuals and as a team.
Isagi smiled through his tears, knowing that these memories would stay with him forever. He felt a sense of gratitude and appreciation for everything that Class 3-E had given him - not just the skills and knowledge he had acquired, but the friendships and bonds that would last a lifetime.
As he made his way back to the classroom, Isagi could hear the sound of his classmates' voices drifting up from below. They were all there, waiting for him - Nagisa, Karma, Sugino, Kayano, and the rest.
Isagi felt a warm feeling spread through his chest as he stepped into the room. He was surrounded by his friends and classmates, all of them wearing smiles that matched his own.
"Isagi-kun!" Nagisa called out, running over to him. "Are you okay? You look like you've been crying."
Isagi nodded, unable to find the words to express what he was feeling. Instead, he simply hugged Nagisa tightly, grateful for the comfort of his friend's embrace.
The rest of the class soon joined in, enveloping Isagi in a group hug that felt like a warm blanket on a cold day. Isagi closed his eyes and let himself be surrounded by the love and support of his classmates.
In that moment, Isagi knew that he was ready for whatever lay ahead. With his memories and his friendships to guide him, he would continue on his journey to Blue Lock, fueled by the passion and determination that Koro-sensei had instilled in him.
And as he looked around at his classmates, he knew that they would always be there for him, cheering him on every step of the way. Together, they had faced their greatest challenge - and together, they had emerged stronger, wiser, and more united than ever before.
Isagi smiled, feeling a sense of hope and possibility wash over him. He was ready to take on the world - and with his friends by his side, he knew that nothing could stop him.
Isagi didn't expect the scene that is currently happening at the moment, as he stood before Koro-sensei, tears streaming down his face as he held the knife in his shaking hand. He couldn't believe that it had come to this - that he, of all people, would have to take the life of the one who had taught him so much.
Isagi's mind raced as he stood before Koro-sensei, his emotions in turmoil. Never in his wildest dreams had he thought that he would be standing here now, tears streaming down his face and holding a knife.
The weight of the knife felt heavy in his hand, a physical reminder of the gravity of the situation. Isagi had already been prepared for this to come since the morning, that they would have to face Koro-sensei and make a decision that would change their lives forever. But he had never imagined that he would be the one chosen to carry out the task.
As he looked into Koro-sensei's gentle, smiling face, Isagi couldn't help but feel a deep sense of betrayal. How could he be expected to take the life of someone who had taught him so much, who had given him a purpose and a sense of belonging? It was too much to bear.
Tears streamed down Isagi's face as he struggled to find the words to express the jumbled mess of emotions he was feeling. He wanted to scream, to lash out, to demand an explanation for why this had to happen. But all he could do was stand there, shaking and sobbing, as Koro-sensei patiently waited for him to make his move.
In that moment, Isagi knew that his life would never be the same again. The weight of his decision hung heavy on his heart, and he wondered if he would ever be able to find peace again. But as he looked into Koro-sensei's eyes, he saw the love and understanding that had always been there, and he knew that even in death, his beloved teacher would always be with him.
Koro-sensei looked at Isagi with a gentle smile, as if he knew exactly what was going through his mind. "Isagi-kun, you don't have to do this if you don't want to," he said softly. "I understand how hard it is to take a life, even one as dangerous as mine."
Isagi nodded, his voice choked with emotion. "I know, but... I have to. I have to protect my friends, my teammates, and everyone else."
Koro-sensei placed a hand on Isagi's shoulder, his touch warm and comforting. "I understand, Isagi-kun. But before you do this, let me remind you of something. Remember all the times you spoke to me about your love for soccer? About how you wanted to become the greatest striker in the world, and how you were willing to work hard to make that dream a reality?"
Isagi blinked in surprise, his mind racing as he tried to remember what he had said. But then, like a floodgate opening, the memories came rushing back - all the conversations he had had with Koro-sensei, the advice he had given him, the support he had shown.
Isagi felt his resolve strengthen as he remembered his love for soccer, and the passion and determination that Koro-sensei had instilled in him. With a deep breath, he steadied his hand and prepared to strike.
"I won't forget, Koro-sensei," Isagi said, his voice trembling with emotion. Tears streamed down his face as he held the knife, his hand shaking with the weight of what he was about to do. "You taught me so much more than just soccer. You showed me how to be a better person, how to never give up, and how to always look for the good in others."
As Isagi spoke, Koro-sensei's smile never wavered. His eyes glimmered with pride and love, knowing that his student had truly learned what he had set out to teach. But as the knife plunged into his body, Koro-sensei's form began to dissolve into particles, leaving behind only his signature yellow tentacles.
The class 3-E students watched in shock and horror as their beloved teacher disappeared before their very eyes. Some cried out in grief, while others stood in stunned silence. The place was filled with a palpable sense of loss and emptiness.
As the particles that made up Koro-sensei's body slowly dispersed, the students couldn't help but wonder if they would ever feel his warmth and guidance again.
And as they cried, memories of Koro-sensei flooded their minds. They remembered his cheerful smile, his endless encouragement, and his unwavering belief in them. They remembered how he had helped them improve not just academically, but also as individuals. They remembered his kindness, his wisdom, and his selflessness.
But now, he was gone. And the students couldn't help but feel lost without him. They knew that life would never be the same without Koro-sensei.
Isagi, who had always been a symbol of strength and determination, was also struggling to keep his emotions in check. His eyes were red from crying, and his hands were shaking. He felt guilty for taking the life of the one who had given him so much.
But he knew that Koro-sensei had sacrificed himself for their sake. He had chosen to die so that the students could live a normal life. Isagi felt a sense of gratitude towards Koro-sensei, but it was mixed with the pain of losing him.
Nagisa hugged Isagi tightly, trying to comfort him. He knew that he's also been the one to carry out Koro-sensei's final wish, and he respected him for it. But they also knew that he was suffering, just like they were.
In that moment, the Class-E students realized that they were more than just a group of students in a lowly class. They were a family - a family that had lost its leader, but one that would continue to support each other through thick and thin.
They vowed to never forget Koro-sensei and to honor his memory by living their lives to the fullest, just like he had taught them to. And as they hugged each other tightly, tears still streaming down their faces, they knew that their grief would eventually subside, but the memories of Koro-sensei would always remain in their hearts.
Isagi wiped away his tears and took a deep breath, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. And as he turned to leave, he knew that Koro-sensei's spirit would be with him always, guiding him on his journey to become the greatest striker in the world.
Isagi couldn't help but feel a sense of melancholy as he gazed up at the moon. It was a constant reminder of the destruction that Koro-sensei had caused, but it was also a symbol of the promise that Isagi had made to his teacher and friend.
He took a deep breath and stepped forward, walking towards the Blue Lock building. As he approached the entrance, he felt a wave of nerves wash over him. This was his chance to prove himself, to show the world what he was made of, and to honor Koro-sensei's memory.
Isagi pushed open the doors and stepped inside. The air was thick with tension and anticipation, and he could feel the eyes of the other players on him. He took a deep breath and squared his shoulders, reminding himself of Koro-sensei's words of encouragement and support.
"Isagi-kun, you are capable of anything you set your mind to," Koro-sensei had told him. "Believe in yourself, work hard, and never give up. You have the potential to become the greatest striker in the world, and I have no doubt that you will achieve your dreams."
Tears pricked at the corners of Isagi's eyes as he remembered those words. He had lost his mentor and friend, but he still had his dreams, his passion, and his determination.
Isagi stepped onto the pitch, feeling the grass beneath his feet and the weight of the ball in his hands. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, letting the memories of Koro-sensei wash over him.
He saw the smiling face of his teacher, the lessons he had learned, and the love for soccer that he had instilled in Isagi. And with a renewed sense of purpose and determination, Isagi opened his eyes, feeling ready to take on the world.
"I won't let you down, Koro-sensei," he whispered. "I'll make you proud. I'll become the world's greatest striker, and I'll carry your memory with me always."
With those words ringing in his ears, Isagi began to play, pouring all his heart, soul, and talent into the game. And as he ran, kicked, and scored, he knew that Koro-sensei was watching over him, his spirit guiding and supporting him every step of the way.
