i'm pickin' up good vibrations

Summary:

A little game in a nice restaurant in Medali gives Grusha one hell of a test of wills.

Work Text:

Grusha knew he was going to regret giving Katy control after she'd won their battle for the day.

That was obvious. The second he asked about the terms of his loss, he saw a cute little gleam in her eyes that would spell his doom in an instant. The little blue vibrator she's got him wearing is absolutely devious, and Grusha can't help but wonder if he's rubbing off on her too much. Despite the fact that he'd, y'know, be perfectly fine with rutting against her right now or getting her mouth on him, because the low vibrations are absolute agony on him.

Just breathe, Grusha tells himself in his head. No matter how much his dick aches for release, he needs to last. It's only been two hours. And knowing Katy, she wants to savor this as much as he does.

The Treasure Eatery is thankfully jam packed and loud today; a new challenger seems to have come by and the battle is positively roaring up the crowd. Larry may hate every inch of this work, but they're putting on a show right now that's hiding just how much agony Grusha is in, and Katy seems to watch with rapt attention and a hand in her pocket to control the vibrations. She's keeping an eye out for the waitress to bring their dessert, having already enjoyed some nice rice balls in their wait. But Katy turns her attention to him, and smiles gently while running a hand through his hair.

"Feeling alright, sweetie? You've had your head down for a bit."

Grusha lets out a dry laugh as he feels her turn off the vibrator for a moment. A little opportunity for breathing room, that feels like a curse in disguise given how he craves the sensation.

"'m fine." It's little more than a mutter, and Grusha can already see Katy's brows start to knit in a bit of concern as she takes her hand out of his hair--he's quick to reach out and put his own hand atop hers, expression obscured by his scarf but soft. "I'm...I'm fine, Katy. Thanks."

"Alright, sweetheart." The concern doesn't leave Katy's tone as she moves to hold his hand, gently as ever, voice going to a whisper. "You remember the safe word, right?"

"Snom. Couldn't forget if I tried."

"Good. Hot and bothered as you are, I don't want you biting off more than you can chew." Katy's expression relaxes, and he feels the vibrations start up again--stronger, causing him to tense up, head going back down on the table as a soft groan escapes him.

"You're unfair, you know that? So uncool..." Grusha says it with a fondness he only reserves for a few people, and Katy chuckles a bit shortly after.

"Aw, but you're still here, sweetie. That's gotta count for something, right?"

"Nobody else can tolerate me. So I guess."

"Oh, don't go saying that." Katy pouts just a tiny bit, and her hand goes back into his hair--he shudders a bit at the contact, as she runs her fingers through it. "You aren't as cold of a man as you think. There's plenty to like about you, Grusha."

"Like...?" Grusha can't help but feel like this is a mistake, giving her open fire to do him in with. And yet, as she speaks again, he'd almost rather have Chien-Pao's swords run him through.

"You're a sweetheart; a determined young man who's carved out something for himself despite all he's faced." Katy's words are soft, gentle, and it's saying something that those words aren't positively killing the casual vibe they're supposed to have--it feels warm. Loving, almost. "Guess, to use a baking metaphor...even if you fell outta the cake pan, you still make a lovely cake at the end of it all. Because you don't let yourself be any less. That make any sense?"

No, Grusha thinks, you throw out a cake when it falls? I'm pretty sure of that... But that's just him getting caught up on schematics. it gets an odd grin from Grusha none the less as he chuckles, shuddering a bit as he feels himself building closer and closer to coming undone despite it all. "...I think it does?"

Katy smiles, though, resting her hand on his head as she speaks softly--to him, and only him. "It means there's still lots to love and plenty of value in you, no matter what happens. Don't you go forgetting that."

Oh.

The praise sends something warm through him, though he moves to place a shaky hand on Katy's.

"S--Snom. Please, I'm...I'm close, I..."

The vibrations are off in an instant, and both of Katy's hands come up to check on him in worry. Grusha smiles, though, half-lidded and blissful despite the denial.

"Hope that wasn't too much for you, sweetie?"

"No, not...not at all. I just think...maybe we should take this elsewhere?" Grusha's gaze focuses back on Katy, averting for a second before his expression goes a little sly. "Unless you wanna test how much more discrete we can be."

That gets Katy to chuckle, hands coming off of him as she does, pressing them together in front of herself cheerily. "I think we've tested our luck enough. Come on; you've endured enough. Let's go pay for everything and get outta here?"

Grusha chuckles as Katy raises a hand to flag down a waitress, finally raising himself off the table a bit. "Just make sure you grab dessert. We're...we're going to need it."

That gets Katy to flush just a bit, thankfully saving face before the waitress comes over and gets a dessert ready to-go for them. Grusha enjoys being toyed with, but now? Now it's his turn.

And he's looking forward to every bit of it.
