Chapter Text
I woke up to Luz yelling at me to wake up and get ready. And so I do, I put on my outfit for the day which was just a yellow t-shirt and some jeans along with some bracelets my friends have made me and most important (in my opinion) my binder. I go to the bathroom and brush my hair, it got longer after.. that happened. Anyways, I just leave it and think about how to cut it (ain’t no way I’m sticking with hair that intensifies dysphoria) I started brushing my teeth as I hear Vee yell “The bus will be here soon! Hurry up Hunter!” I quickly finished and left to go put on my shoes and backpack and wait with my sisters for the bus. As where waiting outside by the bus stop (the sideway right in front of our house) Luz try’s to start up conversation “So Hunter, you ready for your first day?” She asked “as ready as I’ll ever be- oh shit! My keys”
I quickly ran inside and got my keys and ran back out to the sidewalk. I put on my lanyard, which has my keys on it. it had a few pins on it, one was a blue ribbon (not really a pin but I still like it), one with the Evil eye on it (learned out what it was from Luz) and a trans pin, which I quickly took off and put in my pocket, I don’t need everyone in school to know I’m trans especially on my first day.the buss finally get here. We all get on. I sit next to Luz and Vee sat next to a friend. The buss then started and went off to go pick up more kids. I just stared put the window waiting still we got there.
