"Hey! No peeking Rainestorm!" Eda laughed as Raine shifted behind her on the palismen. "I'm not! Just mildly worried about where we're going." Raine muttered the last part.
"Hah!" Eda laughed, "Have more faith in me Dewdrop." Eda winked behind her back even though they couldn't see her.
Raine snorted, "Haven't heard that one in a while, Goldie." Smiling they felt her freeze for a second before righting herself.
"Okay I see what we're doing, darling." At that name Raine flushed and could feel themself overheating.
Eda laughed, "I can feel how flushed you are." she cackled to herself as Raine just babbled trying to collect their thoughts.
Both of them sat in silence for a bit before they felt Eda dipping downwards.
"Are we close?" Raine asked, pressing their face more into Eda's back. "Maybeee." She said in response, giggling slightly.
Raine and Eda softly landed on the ground, Owlbert disconnected from the staff, hooted, then hopped away. "Well he's gone," Eda mumbled softly. "Doesn't matter, okay Raine you ready?" Raine softly smiled and nodded.
"Okayyy, open your eyes!" Raine slowly opened their eyes, blinking to adjust to the light. As everything started to focus they gasped, she had taken them to their hill! Smiling softly they noticed the picnic basket and blanket right in the middle.
"Eda, are we having a picnic?" They asked turning to her, "Well I remember you saying you wanted a picnic date a while back soo, here we are." She tried to say nonchalantly, but Raine knew better.
They had said that in an offhanded comment as they had been falling asleep, weeks ago. They were shocked she even remembered!
"It doesn't matter, c'mon, before the snapping tomato soup gets cold!" Eda quickly said pulling them towards the basket.
They sat together laughing and eating for hours. As the night was drawing to a close Eda pulled out to glasses and a bottle of Apple Blood. Raine snickered, "Apple Blood? Again? Do you ever get tired of it?" They asked, sitting up from their laying down position to take the offered glass.
"No, I don't actually, " Smiling and sipping her glass she turned to them. "And I remember a certain someone used to buy up to twenty cases at a time of this stuff!"
Raine laughed and turned away, "Maybe I was buying them to share with you." Now it was Eda's turn to look away.
They both finished their glasses and put them away. "Thank you so much for this, Calamity, your dates are always the sweetest." Flushing lightly Eda smiled and stood up.
"Anything for the coolest witch in the isles." She said winking and offering her hand. They smiled and took the offered hand, before being quickly pulled by their hand, then pulled closer by their waist.
Both witches chests were flush against eachother as Raine instinctively wrapped their arms around her neck. Eda smiled and leaned down kissing them softly.
Raine flushed before reciprocating, closing their eyes and melting into the kiss. Pulling away Eda smiled, "I love you, Dewdrop."
"I love you, Goldie."

Back at the Owl House Eda collapsed on the nest while Raine started looking for something to wear to sleep. "Raine I'm dying, I'm so sorry to leave you like this." Eda said dramatically tilting her head out of the nest.
"Yeah, Yeah, what do you want to wear to bed?" Raine said, not looking over their shoulder as they pulled on a "Bad Girl Coven" t-shirt. Eda looked up and smiled.
"Wearing my clothes, are we, Rainestorm?" The tips of the bard's ears burned scarlet. "What do you want to wear to sleep?" They responded avoiding the question.
Eda let it go and laid her head down again. "Shorts, and a bra." Raine took the items out and threw them at Eda.
She quickly changed and laid back down. Eda opened her arms as Raine climbed in the nest. Smiling they cuddled into her chest. Eda removed their glasses and put them on the bedside table.
They wrapped their arms around her as she held them and stroked their hair. Falling asleep Raine muttered an I love you.
Eda smiled gently and kissed their head, "I love you."
