"Hi," Eve quipped, strolling into the Minute Mart, keeping her face neutral.
Raising an eyebrow, Suki played along. "If you're not going to buy anything..."
Naturally, Eve took a packet of chewing gum, placing it down carefully between them both.
"I'm meeting a date in here soon," Eve began breezily, grinning as Suki pulled a face of faux curiosity. The shop owner hummed in interest as she scanned the packet and passed it back to Eve, watching as the taller woman pocketed it before continuing their exchange.
"Really? Do I know her?"
Shrugging, Eve looked to the floor.
"Maybe..."
As Eve looked up and gazed at her with intensity from under her brow, Suki's breath caught in her throat.
"Well..." She whispered, grabbing the keys from her pocket quickly. "If you go through to the back, I'm sure she'll be with you any minute."
Raising her eyebrows, Eve made her way through to the back room. Suki made quick work of locking the door and turning the sign round to display 'closed'.
Hearing the clicking of heels on the ground, Eve felt giddy with anticipation. The older woman appeared in the doorway, shutting them in the stockroom as she leant back against the door. Waiting.
Waiting for Eve to make the first move.
Taking a step forward, Eve reached to take Suki's hand in her own. Watching in awe, Suki just gasped quietly, deeply affected by their exchange.
"You must be my date," Eve crooned lowly, lifting her free hand to trace Suki's jawline tenderly with her thumb.

Eyes darkening, Suki gave a look of slight envy. Swallowing, she reached to brush a piece of Eve's hair that had fallen forward back into place.

Shrugging, Eve chuckled and Suki traced her hands down the arms of the blue-eyed woman, then across until she reached the clasp of black jeans.

"I wanted a slight change of scenery," Suki smirked, raising an eyebrow challengingly. "It's my turn to have you now...and I want you against this wall."
Incredibly turned on by the statements, Eve kept her arms around Suki's middle as the businesswoman pulled down the zip of Eve's jeans, swiftly undoing the button and untucking the white t shirt.

"I didn't even do anything," Eve protested lightly, pouting when Suki shot her an objecting look.
"I know," Suki agreed, "but neither did I."
"Sure," Eve countered cheekily, bringing Suki's hand up to her lips and smirking seductively as she began to kiss away the traces of her own arousal left on the fingers.
Shutting her eyes, Suki exhaled, trying the calm herself down after taking in the erotic sight.
"We can't stay in here," Suki acknowledged regretfully, "I've got to get back."

Winking softly, Eve kept hold of Suki's hand and walked across to the door, opening it. Before she could step out, she was abruptly pulled back, suddenly pressed up against the shop owner once more.
"Aren't you forgetting something?" Suki mused, tenderly reaching her hands down to zip and button up Eve's jeans. Not being able to hide her smile, Eve covered Suki's hands with her own.
"I love you," Eve stated, adoring the way Suki's eyes lit up at those words every time they were said.
Stepping in even closer, Suki weaved their fingers, focusing on their hands.
"You know...that, what we just did..."
"Yeah?" Eve encouraged softly, wanting Suki to be completely open, always.
"I really enjoyed it," she laughed. "It was really, really hot."
"What...because we were in here?" Eve teased, looking around the shop.
Shaking her head, Suki felt her cheeks darken. "No...you...us. Standing up and...you...keeping me against the door."

After a moment, Suki spoke again, clearly in a state of reflection.

Grimacing, Suki averted her eyes. "I'm sorry, for how I treated you. Even after we did finally...I should never have thrown you out like that, after what we'd just shared. It was everything, and then I ruined it."
"Don't apologise, you panicked," Eve countered softly, bringing her hands up to hold Suki's face. "Listen, you had to accept you first. And I knew that. I always knew that."
Suki brought her hands up to hold Eve's wrists, showing her appreciation of the understanding.
"I loved you back then, you know," Suki explained. "Being together like that made it impossible to deny and that's why I panicked. Everything I felt...being loved physically by you like that. I...I didn't know how to process it. I couldn't pretend anymore."
Pulling Suki into a secure hug, Eve swayed them a little.
"I loved you too. Before then. And I will never, ever stop."
"You better not," Suki mumbled, snuggling into the embrace more and making a noise of comfort when Eve nuzzled into her neck.
Reluctantly parting from their hug, Eve stepped back.
"I'd stay here all night with you, if I could," Suki declared sincerely as she walked to grab her handbag from behind the counter, getting the shop keys.
Humming in agreement, Eve chuckled, tracing Suki's body with her stare as the smaller woman strode towards her. "Maybe it's something we could organise...in the future."
Pulling a face, Suki tutted as they walked over to the door, unlocking it and turning off the lights before stepping out and shutting it behind them, relocking it.
"I don't know," Suki started casually as she reached to pull the shutters down over the door and windows, smiling gratefully when Eve helped her. Their hands touched briefly and their eyes met. Both of them paused and simply held the eye contact, as if participating in a secret battle of who would look away first.
Suki ultimately broke the moment, crouching to padlock the shutter down to the floor, pulling on it to check it was secure before standing back up.
Eve grinned at the glint of mischief in those beautiful brown eyes.
Stepping forward, Suki glanced around before reaching to link their fingers subtly.
"I think I'd rather be wrapped up in a warm bed...with you." Biting her lip, Suki looked around once more to check that nobody was listening in. "Naked...and entwined," she finished smoothly.
Eve's whole body flushed in response to the words and she faced the pavement, fighting hard to keep her cool.
"Soon," Eve breathed. "I can't wait until I get to hold you, every single night."
Expression softening, Suki smiled in agreement, sniffing as she felt tears rush to her eyes.
"Soon," Suki repeated, squeezing the fingers that were laced with her own before gradually letting go.
It was a promise.
A promise that would be kept.
