Work Text:

Despite the icy and bitter wind of winter, Sunoo feels an even colder emotion that has been festering inside him

When Sunoo learned of Sunghoon's disloyalty, the part of him that held onto hope died

Sunoo faced multiple hardships: four of his closest companions were either dead or dying, his greatest partner had betrayed him, and he was doing it all for her.

Being left with no other choice, Sunoo had to take things into his own hands. It was only fair he had a grudge-bearing attitude towards the situation. The actions of Sunghoon’s poor choices brought out incomprehensible kinds of emotion from Sunoo.

Regardless of the true motives behind Sunghoon's choices, Sunoo needed to hear it directly from him. And with Sunghoon currently in his grasp, there was no better time to confront him.

Sunghoon's voice is low and monotone as he says, "I have nothing to say to you." His once-neat dark hair is now messy, with stray strands falling across his face.

Sunghoon's spruce eyes glare blankly up at Sunoo as he speaks. 'Don't expect an apology, an answer, or anything else from me. Everything I've done has been of my own accord,' he says, his elbows digging into the ground Sunoo's pinned him down to.

“I don’t believe that.” Sunoo denies.

Squinting, Sunoo studies Sunghoon's striking face, then presses his forearm against the hybrid's throat, positioning it at the center. He applies pressure, blocking Sunghoon's air passage and slowly asphyxiating him.

Sunghoon doesn't fight back, whether it's because of his physical disadvantage or lack of desire. "You wouldn't have done it," Sunoo says.

Sunghoon idly lets Sunoo be, allowing him to do and say whatever he pleases while he still can.

Sunoo's face remains straight and any trace of his once-frisky voice is gone. "Because if I did, how could I ever live with myself? Betraying all of us, betraying you,"

Sunoo switches to wrapping his hands around Sunghoon's neck. "I should kill you for what you've done," he says. It shows to be more effective when he grips Sunghoon's jugular with more power.

Sunghoon whispers, "You should." It's so quiet it could be mistaken for the heavy winds. Angry and heartbroken, Sunoo squeezes harder.

He could feel every last vein, movement of muscles, and warmth that lies underneath his hands. He uses more of his supernatural strength, grasping harder and drawing out a groan from the hybrid he was straddling.

He could hear the slow pace of his heartbeat, and frankly, he found it insulting.

How could the person who was once the love of his life, threatening to take away his whole existence, not affect him in the slightest? Not even one stutter to his heart.

Sunoo felt the way his throat un-tenses as he drew in his last few breaths of air and closes his eyes. Was this the end?

No. He doesn’t get to escape from the clutches of life yet. Not until Sunoo gets the proper goodbye he deserves. Plummets of small, warm liquid bring the slights of colour to the porcelain white skin that matches the snow's complexion, dripping erratically onto Sunghoon’s face.

It prompts him to open his eyes, he catches the last few fresh tears that drip from the vampire’s eyes. His grip loosens but his hands are still around him.

His head hung low and his maroon hair covered his face; blocking his facial expression from Sunghoon’s sight.

“I won’t, not so soon.”

When he raised his head, his eyes had a glint of something mischievous in them.

Rather than their usual hazel cast, they grew dark, and hollow, with red undertones. He then parts his lips, ginning wide and revealing the relatively long and pointed teeth of his fangs. “I want to have some fun with you first. Like old times.”

In this instance, he could apprehend the pickup in speed at which Sunghoon's heart raced. As predicted; he’s always been weak to this side of Sunoo.

Removing one of his hands from Sunghoons neck, he leaned in. The low temperature from the weather made their breaths visible, and with the close proximity of their faces, the clash of their breaths intersecting was even more perceivable.

Sunoo opens his mouth, much like he does when he’s getting ready to devour a meal. His face inches closer, expecting him to be the one getting consumed; Sunghoon instinctively tilted his head, craning his neck back to give Sunoo room.

Instead of having that familiar feeling of his fangs sinking into his skin, he watched as he sunk his teeth into his own skin. His wrist seeps out blood from where he punctured himself.

“What are you doing?” The hybrid growls, eyeing the vibrant red that rested on Sunoo’s lips, painting them alluringly pretty and elegant. His eyes then followed the scarlet trail it left down his arm.

“Acting clueless? I know you want a taste. If I recall correctly, the taste of my blood is your favourite, no?” Sunoo urges, moving his bleeding wrist the slightest bit closer.

He watched as the hybrid’s eye’s glowed with temptation. “Take what you want, like you always do.”

In retrospect, Sunoo’s words were true. The memory of the first time he let Sunghoon feed from him was something he could never forget.

After his first taste, Sunghoon couldn’t stop. It was no secret that if he could have, he would have sucked every last drop of blood in Sunoo's body.

Maybe it was because that was the first his tongue had relished in such sweet and addictive philtre.

Regardless, he didn’t stop. Not after the first, second, or third bite. At some point, he lost himself, becoming so engrossed his wolf instincts presented.

Hands straying, clothes getting ripped apart and out of the way as he insured that he tastes the ruby Jules provided from every last vein in Sunoo’s body.

Even if it’s been more than a few decades, their first time will always be engraved into both their mind.

“You’re cruel,” Sunghoon snarls, his canines appeared and they grew sharper as the smell of Sunoo’s blood flowed straight into his nose. Sunoo smirked, hovering his ruptured arm over Sunghoon's lips, then adding pressure and letting a single drop come down to his lips.

That was his breaking point, he grabbed Sunoo’s shoulders and within seconds he had flipped their positions.

He traps the vampire beneath him, placing his body in between his legs and pulling his wrist up to his mouth. He let's his lips graze over the wound that was starting to heal.

Soon, he plunges his sharp teeth in before it could fully regenerate and doesn't hold back as he takes large amounts of Sunoo’s blood.

His right eye glows golden as the liquid makes contact with his tongue, the tormentingly sweet yet piquant flavour washes down his throat, leaving him rejuvenated and wanting more. “Just like that, Sunghoon,” Sunoo lets out a pleased sigh.

“Bite me.”

With that, Sunghoon pulled away, moving his head between the crook of Sunoo’s neck. He stabbed through the wall of skin directly over his sternocleidomastoid region. Drinking generous amounts, as a rush of something electric circulated through him the more he ingested.

He forces himself to pull away, “This is part of why I couldn’t take your side. You make me lose control, Sunoo. Encourage me to embrace the dark and disgraceful parts of my half blooded monstrosity.” He says -- brows furrowed and eyes glaring into the vixeny pair below him.

Sunoo’s face flashes with a hurt expression. “Have you ever thought to think that's because there isn’t anything monstrous about you? Even if you happen to be a little different, it’s the thing that makes you special.”

Sunghoon scoffs. “You just don’t get it, love.”

Sunoo almost accepts the way warmth creeped up into his chest at the softness of Sunghoon's voice when referring to him as his love. Noticing, Sunghoon’s voice drops back to a blank one. “I know that she can change me for the better, fix me.” He claims, “That’s something you can't do for me.”

Now only fury and spite took over Sunoo. “Do you really believe that?”

“You have no idea what I’m capable of, Sunghoon.”

He pulls his wrist out of Sunghoons grip, reclaiming his arm and roughly pushing the hybrid off of him. “When will you learn not to take the things you have for granted?” Sunoo says -- insinuating a multitude of things.

Before Sunghoon could stand on his feet, let alone reply, Sunoo taps into his abilities provided from his vampirism and speeds off to the distance within the blink of an eye.

He disappeared into the shadows, furnished from the forest located near the dying field they’d been quarrelling at.

Sunghoon quickly chases after him. He could make out the blurred vision of Sunoo’s form. To the naked eye it would be impossible to keep up with, but to Sunghoon -- not so much since he had an advantage of his own.

He catches up to Sunoo, sprinting neck-to-neck. He makes an intersection where Sunoo was headed, causing collusion between the two. Quick to spring back up, Sunoo races more remote into the tall woods.

Large gusts of wind follow with their increasing speed, too entranced with the chase, Sunghoon fails to see where Sunoo vanished when he leaped up; hiding himself in the colossal branches.

He came to a halt. Examining his surroundings, eyes darting from one sapling to the next. He’s always been good at things such as disguising himself. It's was like second nature for him to blend in with his surroundings and make his presence unnoticeable.

Before long, there was a sound of timber snapping, it was short and could’ve been mistaken for a wild animal, but Sunghoon knew better. Being conscious of the fact that Sunoo was watching him from wherever he was, he ran in the opposite direction of the noise.

Sunoo hops down, and as soon as he did, Sunghoon appeared and reached out to grab him blindly as his hands wrapped around the vampire's torso from behind him.

He had successfully captures Sunoo and pushes him up against a tree. “It's Interesting that you’re the one to talk about taking things for granted.”

Hungry eyes stare into his light hues before glancing down to Sunoo’s lips. The tensity between them grew as the heat from their bodies pressed against each other so closely gets unbearable. “When you’re the most greedy person I know, Sunoo.”

The atmosphere quickly becomes heavily lustrous yet dangerous, Sunoo takes his bottom lip between his teeth, maybe biting a little too hard and maybe a little too intentionally when it started to bleed.

Due to the intimacy that comes with feeding or being fed from same-specie organisms, hormones ended up all being over the place. In return, making it only natural that things would go down a carnal road.

To Sunoo, the only vampire -- rather, half vampire’s blood he enjoyed to such a lustful extent was Sunghoon's, same goes for said half vampire.

In addition to the history they have, every time they wine and dine from one another, the results tend to have a more sever effect.

Sunghoon wastes no time when he lunges forward, capturing Sunoo’s lips in a heated kiss. His tongue drags down the full and bleeding rim of his mouth, he flourishes at the enticing taste. A moan leaves Sunoo’s mouth as canines nibble more at the cut lips.

Pulling away for a draw of air, Sunoo breathlessly speaks; “I have everything, and much more than she has. Why can't you just stay by my side?” His hands grazed through the meadows of Sunghoons raven black hair, his other one clutches the sleeves of the cloak that hangs loosely from his shoulders.

“Maybe you do,” Sunghoon says, momentarily giving him hope as his hands slip to Sunoo’s waist.

“But, my loyalty lies with her now.”

Sunoo snaps, his emotions become more heightened than ever -- bitter from being repetitively hurt by Sunghoon’s words.

His nails mortified into claws as he digs them past the fabric of Sunghoon's cloak and impaling his abdomen. He shoves him with great force and the hybrid's back strikes against a tree lengths away from the one they were priorly at.

Without uttering a word, Sunoo’s razor-edged fangs sink into Sunghoon’s neck. He grunts, and raises his hand up to Sunoo’s wine coloured hair, putting it at the back of his head and urging him to have more. Being the predatory species they were, they got a high out of it all.

They enjoyed the hunt, the feed, and the kill.

“Then, why are you with me right now?” Sunghoon’s blood dripped from the corners of Sunoo’s mouth as he spoke. He silently gazed on it for a moment. He soon brings his hand up to the Sunoo's face, gently thumbing over it and cleaning him of the red stain.

His hand lingers and seizing the opportunity, Sunoo tilts his head toward it as his tongue and wraps around it. He licks Sunghoon’s finger spotlessly, yet he didn’t stop there. He hauled his tongue to and from its length -- ceasing at the pad of his finger before nibbling and prickling it in the slightest, and further licking the blood that pours out from it.

“Because, I can’t stay away from you. Neither can you, from me.”

With the rising tension and suffocating heat that itched to be dealt with, they succumb to their appetite and soon enough, their lips were clashing together in a kiss.

Sunghoon’s hands locked around Sunoo’s torso, pulling him close before elevating him up. Sunoo instantly wrapped his legs around the hybrid's waist, while his arms; around his neck.

With their new position, they were able to sense every detail of each other’s body, including the way Sunghoon’s crotch rubbed against Sunoo’s rear.

Their tongues collided, a peculiar merge of saliva and blood combining.

Sunoo’s hand travels down as he proceeded to palm the bulge pushing up against him, It earns an anticipating groan. Soon, he hastily gets rid of the blockage in which the zipper of Sunghoon’s trousers bring.

Sunghoon’s hands shift down as he hoysts Sunoo the slightest bit higher up.

They momentarily brake away from the kiss, a string of saliva following shortly after. “As true as that may be, you left me for so long, I’ve almost forgotten what your embrace feels like.” Sunoo pants, “especially, when I've had other company in your absence.”

Sunghoon's face instantly shows disapproval. "Of course you have," he scoffs bitterly. “But It doesn't matter when I'm the only one that knows what pleases you most.” He proudly claims.

Before he knew it, Sunghoon was relocating them within seconds, this time, at a foreign boulder. He sat Sunoo on top of said boulder, soon after stripping him of his undergarments. His eagerness gets the best of him when he rips the remaining top half of Sunoo's clothes off, and being Immune to the cold; Sunoo didn’t care, he solely anticipated more.

Sunghoon’s hands clasp onto Sunoo’s hips as he lines them with the lower half of his body. A dazed whine is drawn out from the vampire’s lips when Sunghoon snaps his own hips forward.

The lack of warning makes it quite the stretch, but he enjoyed the pain.

He’s always been a masochist of sorts when it came to Sunghoon, and with the hybrid’s sadistic tendencies, it was a perfect match.

Contrary to the hastier efforts when they first encountered one another, his current movements were leisurely. His intent on Sunoo feeling every last second of it all was made crystal clear.

The homey sensation of being one with Sunghoon makes him long for more. But the slow pace at which Sunghoon was progressing drove him crazy. “Pease, Sunghoon..” He puffed, his legs and arms wrapping tighter around him as he desperately craved for more.

“Hm?” Sunghoon hums, enjoying the way he was little by little wrecking Sunoo. “More hoonie,” Sunoo requests, heat rushing throughout his whole body as his face flushes in a scarlet blush.

A triumphant grin crawls onto Sunghoon’s face, “So impatient.” His eyes showed his unrelenting reasoning. He drags out even slower, and Sunoo, truly too impatient, rolls his hips forward. The firm grip on his waist quickly shut's it down, preventing him from any attempts of the self-gratifying act.

The look in Sunoo’s eyes said everything he couldn’t verbally get out. Even with the hankering need in his pleading gaze, Sunghoon didn’t cave. Instead, he pursues the same agonizingly slow and steady pace.

Sunoo exhales through his nose, deciding if Sunghoon was going to play dirty, so was he.

He brings his face closer to Sunghoon’s, their hot breaths clashing as he holds their relatively intimate eye contact. Their lips teasingly graze before they meet with a firefly passion, as if they couldn’t get enough of each other. There was a sense of urgency and longing that came with the kiss. Sunghoon’s eyes shot open when he the taste of Sunoo’s addictive blood makes contact with his tongue.

The cause for it being that he once again pierced his bottom lip, very well knowing of Sunghoon's weakness to his blood. Sunoo pulls away, just the right amount for their faces to be close enough that their noses brush.

He leans his forehead against Sunghoon’s for a moment, one of his hands depart from his shoulder, instead clutching his broad arms.

Soon enough, his lips are attached to the crook of Sunghoons cervix, sharp teeth penetrating through his upper Trapezius. With the way in which he shifted, Sunoo’s own neck became exposed to the hybrid who was hungrily waiting for his fangs to stab through the protective layer of skin that kept him away from the treasure he was after.

Not an abundance of time was waisted, he divided in immediately, yielding to Sunoo's tactics. Double feeding; too good of a move to not work in helping him get what he wants.

Sunghoon finally caves.

From the rate of his relentlessly pleasure inducing thrusts, to the way every part of Sunoo’s body ached so good, every last part of it drives the vampire closer to reaching his limit. His head nuzzles between the space occupying Sunghoon’s neck and shoulders. "Sunghoon..”

A wicked grin makes its way across Sunghoon’s face. He unlatches his mouth from Sunoo’s neck, but not before littering the area surrounding it with his markings.

One of his hands leave Sunoo’s hips, instead stretching out to his chin, and guiding him to look Sunghoon in the eyes. “Go ahead, darling.”

A prolonged mewl abandons Sunoo's mouth as his jaw is left agape, he arches his spine, and his eyes close shut as he clings impossibly closer to Sunghoon.

Sunghoon’s eye’s pay close attention to every last detail of Sunoo’s state, in return; it brings him closer to his own limit.

Within moments, Sunoo's releasing. All the build up leaves his body, as a state of pure ecstasy washes over the entirety of his being. Sunghoon continues and overstimulates him as he was in the midst of his high.

“You’re my only one.” Sunoo breathes into the hybrids ear, causing both his heart and hips to stammer. Sunoo’s walls tightened around him, lastly tying in Sunghoon’s climax.

They both pant, attempting to catch their breaths. Sunghoon stares deep into Sunoo’s eyes, and Sunoo stares back -- taking in the asymmetry in the pigmentation of the his irides.

“What did you say?” Sunghoon asks, having a rather hard time believing his words.

Sunoo’s lashes flutter hesitantly, “your voice has a discouraging amount of disbelief in it.” He chuckles softly.

“Because you say it like it’s true when it’s not. You almost have me fooled.”

Hearing that, he didn’t understand how It could be so hard to believe that he loves Sunghoon. After all, there was a point in their lives where they frequently started or ended their days with three particular words that conveyed their feelings of endearment to one another.

“Have you really fallen out of love with me, Sunghoon? Do you only hate me now?” Sunoo asks -- wearing his heart on his sleeve.

Sunghoon was quiet. Whether it was because he was at a loss of words, or unable to answer for other reasons, he stays quiet.

There’s something about Sunoo he wasn’t sure of, something of importance he could sense he was keeping from him.

Soon, Sunghoon breaks his silence, “I’ll tell you when you tell me whatever it is you're hiding.” He answers; fixes his own clothes, before covering Sunoo with his robe.

The vampires face morphs into a more characteristic one before answering. “What aren’t I telling you?” He teasingly responds.

He was met with an unamused face, “stop with the games, Sunoo.”

“But they're so fun... especially mind games.” Sunghoon's gaze falls dark, his mind analyzing all the possibilities behind his cryptic statement.

“Don’t look at me like that. I can tell what you’re thinking just from your face.”

“You didn’t..” Sunghoon’s words trailed off but Sunoo knew what he was implying.

“I didn’t.” He assures. “Not to you, never to you.” It brought the slightest bit of solace to Sunghoon, but he knew better than to let himself fully trust Sunoo.

“But..?” He awaits the words he's had a dreading feeling would be lamentable. Even so, he prepares himself.

She is. She’s been under my spell, Sunghoon.”

Judging by his elevated eyebrows and the subtlest of ways in which his puppies dilated; Sunghoon was stunned, so much so that he couldn't articulate any words.

“She has been for some time now. She was the key behind all that I was after.” Sunoo explaines, elaborating further.

At first, Sunghoon was in a purely stupefied state, then his eyes showed denial. “No. I can’t accept that, it doesn't make any sense.”

“It’s the truth,” Sunoo’s hands went up to his face, cupping the frosty sides of his cheeks ever so gently.

“No..all the time I was with her, she couldn’t have been...” As he speaks, his mind goes back to the times he spent in solitude with her.

The hours they occupied in the dark and stuffy space of their hideout as he strived to demonstrate his dearest attempts of bringing her comfort. The ways in which ranging from; the little tricks he performed for her. The uncharacteristically amusing faces he aimed at making. And the overall tenderness he treated her with. None of it was real?

“Many of the things that she's done have been under my control. I understand it's a lot to take in.”

Sunghoon stood as still as a statue, unable to process Sunoo’s words or how to respond to them. The merge of sorrow and fury that laid behind Sunghoon’s dim eyes glared into Sunoo’s hazel pair.

“Why couldn’t you just let me go?”

“Let you go?” Sunoo’s voice drops a pitch as his eyes darkened. “Never.” He whispered into the wind, softly caressing the hybrid's cheek.

“This is precisely why I couldn’t support you Sunoo. You lie, you deceive, and will harm any and everyone to get what you want. That’s not the type of person I can support. It’s not the type of person you once used to be.”

With everything Sunghoon just listed being something he’s done or was ready to do, Sunoo found his words quite ironic. “You should be careful with your words, especially when you don’t know the full picture.”

“Then tell it to me. Tell me and help me understand.”

“It’s simple, Sunghoon.” He starts. “It’s as simple as me knowing about the secret meetings between you two. The ones where you schemed plans against me and everyone that sided with me.” Sunghoon stilled.

“You didn’t really think that I wouldn’t have a backup plan, did you? I could sense you pulling away, straying from myself and the others. You leaving was inevitable, as much as I dreaded the day it would come, I had to stay a few steps ahead." Unable to find the right words, Sunghoon settled on not saying any.

“I had no other choice but to handle it myself. Consider this as a worst case scenario.”

“Had no other choice?” Sunghoon repeats, anger coating his voice.

“I know you didn’t agree with my motives. You didn’t trust in my plans for the future, or the crown I was after.” He stood up from the boulder, stepping closer.

“And that’s the thing, Sunghoon. If only you did, everything could’ve been so different.”

“You’re right, Sunoo. But I'm sure that you’re aware that wasn’t possible.”

“As much as we both wish it could be, it just isn’t.” He paused before continuing. “One of the many things I didn’t agree with you on being that me and you don’t work- we can’t work.”

“This is what I'm talking about. Rather than making up your mind so rashly, try giving us a chance.” Sunoo gently strokes his thumb against the side of Sunghoon’s face. "We can do it if we try."

“Perhaps that’s true, but Sun, I would rather die.” Sunoo’s hand’s come to a swift hault in a similar manner as his heart does.

“And I was more than ready to let you kill me.” Sunoo’s hand slowly slips further down Sunghoon’s face as the noise around them dulls down. Only the sounds of the wind howling as it sway’s the trees in harmony with the murmurs of its secrets is heard.

“I wanted to apologies.” Sunghoon admits.

“Good.” Sunoo says, the trembling of his voice gaves away his emotions.

“Hold on, I said I wanted to. But, I’m not sorry.”

“You would rather die than admit your true feelings, than to just take my side, and at most, simplily try on us..?” He questions as his hands that hold Sunghoon’s face tighten; more or less becoming a desperate excuse to hold onto him. “And do you expect me to be fine with that?”

“I didn’t say you’re supposed to be fine with it, I just said I’m not sorry. You know what I really am?” He queries, his hands go over Sunoo’s and retain them there.

“I’m selfish.” He admits, the confession rolling off his tongue like one of the oceans many waves; loud and dangerous, yet breathtakingly engaging.

“I make bad choices that don't do you any good. So yes, I would rather die than accept my feelings for you,”

“I would rather die right now than spend hundreds of years without you, losing you because of our differences or at my hands. I’d rather die right now, than spend eternity remembering how good I used to have it and how happy we were.” He exhales a shaky breath.

“That’s who I am, Sunoo. And I’m not going to change. I can’t and won’t say sorry because there’s no apology in the world that measures up to all the reasons that we’re wrong for each other.” His hands loose grip on Sunoo’s when he’s done.

Sunoo feels a bittersweet sensation with the aftertaste of Sunghoon's words. But before dwelling on anything, he quickly decides to get what’s been on his mind off his chest. “Ok, then I’m not sorry either.”

“I’m not sorry about everything that we’ve experienced together. I'm not sorry that knowing you makes me rethink everything. I’m not sorry for the length my devotion to you goes - even when it drives me to commit morally questionable acts.”

His heart pounds against his chest, and his body temperature rises as he continues. “That even in death, you’re the one that made me feel most alive.”

“You've been so stubborn and made all the wrong choices, but of all the choices I’ve made, this will prove be the worst one.”

“But I’m not sorry that I am and always will be in love with you.”

“I love you, Sunghoon.”

Powerless to holding back his suppressed feelings of affection any longer, Sunghoon dips head down, catching Sunoo’s lips in a diligent kiss. His hands enveloped around him and held him tightly as they shared their dearest kiss yet.

When they withdrew, Sunghoon murmured a small “I love you.” under his breath, it was so hushed that it could've easily gone unheard, but fortunately, Sunoo didn’t miss it.

He leans his forehead against Sunghoon’s before softly speaking. “We could’ve had a beautiful life together.” His breathing turns ragged. “Maybe we can have our happy ending in our next life?”

He could feel the consequential effects of the grave choice he had priory made start to kick in. To be exact of said choice; the results of the poison he consumed was commencing.

It was a lengthy period of time since the toxins were Ingested deep within his body. Deep in his nerves. But most importantly, deep in his veins. The same ones that made their roots deep throughout his body. The same body Sunghoon's been obviously yet possessively been drinking from.

Consuming the hazardous elixir was something Sunoo was planning on doing long ago.

That is, In case things got to a point this bad. The moment he officially decided on going through with it was after his exchange with Sunghoon. To be precise, the moment he disappeared into the forest.

He knew It wasn’t easy to die as a vampire, it was even harder as a hybrid. The precise reasons why he made sure the concoction he got his hands on was one that insured their deaths.

The repercussions of the symptoms didn’t start to be in full, or any effect, until now. It was very well settled within them and prepared to terminate them from the inside-out.

Sunghoon’s head dropped to Sunoo’s shoulder. The deprivation to his body's cells of oxygen started to commence. A cough expells from his lungs, “what did you do, Sun?”

Before answering, a small smile that Sunghoon misses rests on Sunoo’s face. He then parts his lips and answers “I did the only thing I could think of to keep us together, forever.” Though it was vague, Sunghoon put together a good idea of what he was implying.

Their body’s start to shut down as the enzymes and receptors get blocked the further it spreads. With his body weak and incapable to support himself up much longer, Sunghoon slips down. His back leans against the large surface of the boulder. Sunoo’s body was next to sink down, he leans his head on Sunghoon’s chest and his hands automatically wrapped around the vampire.

Drawing every last bit of strength, Sunoo advances adjacent and readies to murmur something to the hybrid. “You’re not the only selfish one, Sunghoon.”

“If I can’t have you.” Sunoo mumbles weakly,

“no one can.”

Perhaps it’s because he’s too feeble to do anything about it, or because he’s ready to die with the love of his life in his arms -- but Sunghoon has already come to terms with his fate. He understandingly nods, knowing it goes the same way for him.

Being all that they could do, the pair stared into one another's eyes and refrained from muttering anymore words.

It gives a sense of reminiscence.

Bringing them back to the late nights under the large and self-luminous celestial bodies, appealingly visible in the night sky whilst they spent hours simply laying in one another's embrace -- falling weak to the euphoria that came along with getting lost in each other's presence.

This may be where their journey ends, but not the love that lives on in their souls.
