There is no such place as beautiful as night Liyue. The soft light of the moon softly reflecting from the buildings which slowly go deem. I couldn’t sleep. As always. Today I decided to collect all my remaining energy and go to the edge of the city. My head was blasting with pain. As always. Honestly, I don’t know how I could walk. My feet and fingertips felt so cold. As always. Yet still I reached the forest. I dint have the plan. I remember wanting to climb one of the mountains that where surrounding the path. At least it would be pretty with the view of the night Liyue. River was also an option, but rather uncomfortable. So I kept walking. I started feeling dizzy, I sat down on the ground. I couldn’t care to find anything else to seat on. Ground was cold. Cold run through my body with a shiver. “Is this the way I go? So slow and painfully?”-I thought. That was the worst way to end this all, but I didn’t have the power to move anymore. While sitting down I already saw the colourful sparkles in my eyes. “At least when hilichurls find me I won’t feel anything”-I could already hear them from afar. After few minutes I could not see anymore and after few seconds, I felt to the ground.
I started to hear noises. “Dam I should be dead. Is this Barbatos or Morax? But I shouldn’t…” and then I opened my eyes. Yellow selling was looking back on me. Air was moist and filled with herbs aroma which was annoying me. “Fuck I am alive”- I thought. I closed my eyes again and continued – “Why the fuck I am still there. Cmon with all my … Wait. WHERE IS THERE?!”. I opened my eyes wide opened and tried to impulsively seat down. Very stupid decision because I quickly felt all the dizziness, headache and the felt back on the bed.
“Oh no, not that quick. You just woke. Please don’t set down just yet”
“Sssstupid”
“Changsheng, behave. It`s my patient. No one acts thoughtfully when they are sick”
“Where am I? Wait are you…” – Of course, I knew Baizhu. Everyone in Liye knows him. Did someone found me? Oh no… nononono
“I am Baizhu and this is my companion Changsheng. We found you near mountain Tianheng some hours ago. You in Babu pharmacy now. How are you feeling?”
“Like shit”
“Well do you feel dizzy? Does something hurt?”
“Yes, and my head”
“Well, that’s expected. I will grab some medicine.”
If its expected then why the fuck are you asking? Man, I tried to kill myself yesterday. I really tried to do this…
“Fuuuuuck” – I muttered turning sideway and closing my eyes with hands. Mid way I noticed new bandages on my hands. He knows. Oh fuck how did I get in this shit?
“Is it that painful?” – Baizhu asked with worry.
“A bit worse than usually. It`s just…” – I really wanted him to just shut up at this point.
“Oh, I changed your bandages. They were too old. You need to change them regularly you know? Also, how often you get those headaches? Do I need to know something”
“I have iron deficiency”
Baizhu stopped for a minute to think and then grabbed another bottle.
“Do you remember what happened? What where you doing near the mountain?”
I thought for a minute or so. Baizhu was penitently waiting.
“I was feeling unwell and… I tried to kill myself”
Baizhu feezed for a second, but quickly pulled himself together. Although this was not the first time, he heard those words from patient, they still pinched his heart. He finally gathered everything he needed and reapproached the bed.
“Well let’s focus on you resting and getting better now. What is your name?” – he asked while helping y/n to take half-sitting position.
“Y/n”
“It’s nice to meet you, y/n. I hope you find your stay quite pleasant. Now you should eat those”- he put two pills and small bottle next to a glass with water on a table.
I took two small pills in my hand. For a second I wanted to reject drinking them, but then he will not leave me alone. Why just why? I took them. Baizhu was counting drops of other medicine. After a while I took it too.
“Good job!” – he said smiling.
Something about this smile made me feel at home. The feeling that I lost long time ago. It was nice to feel again.
“The medicine will affect you soon. I can give you some food if you are very hungry, but I would recommend to get as much sleep as you can. After all it`s 2 am right now and you need to rest.”
“I will try to sleep” – I mumbled covering myself with the blanket, overwhelmed my sudden emotion and headache
“Good night”
