Work Text:
Vulgora, it was always their fault. It was their fault now that Coquette found herself stuck between arguably two of the most attractive men she's met in her entire life.
But it was awkward.
It had been awkward from the start when Nadia requested them to search for Lucio's ghost in order to keep the palace safe for the night of the masquerade.
Being the third wheel of two possible ex's that very much have sexual tension between each other when left alone; was not how Coquette expected to be spending his night.
But here he is, walking behind them both. Instead of finding Lucio the trio found a much worse and sour surprise. Standing there in the middle of the woods a good distance from the palace found Vulgora, you never would've suspected them of eavesdropping but of course they were a bunch of evil beetles in a trench coat with a face.
They scowled at the sight of the trio. "Who even uses manners these days, it's just alright to walk up behind someone just because you want something." They say drastically throwing their hands in the air.
"Yes, yes what do you want!"
Coquette's eyebrows furrow, eyes darting around. Where there is Vulgora, Lucio won't be far and vise vera.
"Where is Lucio?"
Vulgora growled at the name. Digging their red claws into a tree trunk. "That scoundrel- that- that cheating punk!- He got away from me." Vulgora tenses and Asra steps in front of Coquette and Julain ready to block their magic.
Vulgora's nail presses Asra hard in the chest, sending all of them tumbling like domino's.
But before any of them can blink they are pushed into what seems to be another realm. It's wet, cold, and immediately Coquette notices.
Cramped.
Sandwiched together.
Stuck.
There is little to no room to move. Still, Coquette tests their luck; looking down to find Asra below them. Instinctively she pushes herself up cornering Asra between their arms.
Her head knocks into Julian behind her, they both wince and groan. "Sorry." Coquette apologizes, her voice ecos like the box is taunting her as if there's more room somewhere. She lowers herself again, hovers above him, her knees on either side of Asra's body.
Coquette wiggles forward, hesitant. They keep their hand planted on the cold material beneath Asra's head and body.
"Asra, do you have any idea where we are? Or what we're in? I can't seem to reach or even call out to my magic."
She says looking down to the magician.
Asra closes his eyes for a moment, searching. He too comes up short shaking his head. Coquette sighs, glancing around the box.
He snaps his fingers together, small sparks light then quickly die out. He keeps snapping, until his fingers hold a small flame the size of his nails. Coquette sighs, being able to see he holds the lit fingers up to the edge of the metal(?) Box they're being held in.
"Separate boxes would've been nice if we were destined to be trapped." Coquette mutters flicking his fingers until they light again.
Coquette shuffles, pressing their ear to the wall of the box. Their back arches and they unintentionally press against Julian behind them. Julian groans at the friction, gripping Coquette's hips. "Coquette-" He attempts a laugh, but he just groans again. "Watch where you're pressing." His attempt at humor makes Asra roll his eyes beneath them both.
"Hey Coquette?" Asra speaks up. They look down at him, removing themself from the small wall. "You're- kind of crushing me."
Coquette reluctantly looks down to see herself seated right on Asra's now hardened-
"Oh! I'm so sorry." Coquette stumbles back into Julian's hands. Both their heads lowered as to not bang on the ceiling, Coquette rests on Julian's thigh as he grips her waist.
There's no attempt at humor this time, Julian stays silent, the grip on Coquette is deadly, his knuckles are paler than his own complexion. "Coquette- please, move carefully."
His hands slide down to her thighs despite his request of them moving. Strong, pale hands grip dark skinned thighs, showing from the blue loin skirt.
"Julian-"
"Coquette..? Have you found anything?"
"No, I haven't.. but this isn't helping." Coquette furrows their brows, watching Julian's hands trail up and down her thighs.
Asra clears his throat.
"I hope you two aren't planning on fucking in front of me." Asra says, sarcasm in his tone.
"What!?" Coquette shrieks, pushing Julian's hands away. "No! I'm busy trying to find my-" Coquette gasps, reaching behind herself, searching the pocket inside her skirt. She groans, feeling around for her deck but she only runs into Julian's-
"Sorry, Julian." Coquette pales.
She sighs lifting her legs, knees up by her head from the cramped space. She reaches between them for the pocket inside, feeling around for her deck she yanks them up and lowers her legs again.
Julian watches Coquette shift around on his thigh before setting again. She spreads the cards on her own thigh, closing their eyes waiting for something - anything - a card or two to speak - offer advice, a hint maybe of how to get out of here.
But, nothing.
Quiet, eerie silence followed by the ecoing drips of water hitting the cold metal that sound like they came from a different area in the box. Closed off, unavaliable.
Coquette sighs, collapsing onto the cold floor of the metal box, coiled against Asra's side. "I give up."
Asra seems to straighten at this, "What do you mean? Coquette it's like an escape room, you've delt with worse - you saved the world from the devil before."
Coquette rolls her eyes. "That was when I had help from the deck. And you and Julian and Portia- and Nadia."
Coquette closes her eyes. "Wake me when you have any ideas I could try."
When Coquette opens her eyes again she's on her stomach. She undoubtably hears the sound of muffled whimpers and poorly concealed whines.
He doesn't move, he prays that neither saw his eyes open. Coquette lays flat on his stomach.
"Asra- Coquette she could-"
"Shh, she's asleep. Just be quiet." Asra's hand strokes faster, cupping around Julian's tip, sliding his thumb across his slit, making Julian arch his back where his bigger build rests against Asra.
"Asra.." Julian whines his name, as he strokes faster, pulling Julian closer to his climax.
"Shh, you don't want Coquette to hear how much of a dirty-"
Coquette closes her eyes, and shuffles the slightst bit. He really missed his soft bed and pink pillows.
All movement stopped, Asra knew he was awake. "Coquette." He said sternly, not even attempting to make himself or Julian look innocent.
"I know you're awake." Asra nudges Julian, whom stirs from his blissful yet clean orgasm.
Coquette doesn't move, practically paralized with fear. He holds his breath, wishing for enough magic to find for a teleportation spell, raking their mind for the process until he finds it.
Coquette scapes at the wisps of magic pulling them together, enough to just get them home. Coquette's eyes open again and she's in her room.
She sighs having her magic back. Julian and Asra were teleported to Asra's room. Or somewhere close by. Coquette was drained, his magic flooding back into their system all at once was overwhelming. He collapsed onto his bed, the pink pillows cradling his aching head and foot.
Later, Asra enters Coquette's room. Nudging the door open he sees that he's asleep.
The energy that it took to transport three people possible miles and miles away.
Asra stood by the door watching Coquette kick his off boots and roll away from the door, he knew he could feel his presence.
"You know I'm here Coquette." Asra says stepping through the threshold of his room. Coquette grumbles to himself and shoves their face in his pillow.
"Coquette, I'm sorry are- were you uncomfortable?"
She didn't reply, the answer to that was obvious. If she weren't maybe she would've joined them but, she was in fact uncomfortable, so much so that she forced herself to pull together enough energy to bring them back to Vesuvia.
"You two fuck like horny dogs when you're together." Coquette held her tounge. 'You wonder why I'm so hesitent to be alone with the two of you.' But she kept that to herself.
Asra laughs at the comparasion. "I guess you're right, but when I'm with Julian I just can't help myself around him, he's just so.. I love messing with him."
Coquette rolls over again, on his stomach this time, he covers his ears with the pillow above him. "You're disgusting. What if he came on me back there? You sickos."
Asra laughs again, "You know I wouldn't let that happen." Asra says brushing Coquette's bangs off her pillow. She rolls her eyes.
"What did you come in here for?"
"To apologize. I couldn't resist him, so - sorry, Coquette you had to see that."
Coquette stayed silent. "Are you still mad at me?"
"At us?" Another voice finished for him that stood in from the doorway. Julian stood, with his arms crossed and a sullen look on his face, although Coquette couldn't see it.
"Let's just leave them alone Asra. They -"
"Coquette you can't ignore us forever. I mean it I'm really sorry."
Coquette nods into their pillow, and doesn't acknowledge anything else Asra says after that.
The morning after was when Asra started getting increasingly worried. Coquette had stayed couped up in his room since they got back with the door shut and locked.
Coquette hadn't done that in years, back when Asra and Coquette were young, she would baracade herself into small spaces. Ones that she knew Asra wouldn't be able to find or fit into easily when she was cross with him over something small like an arguement.
But this wasn't a small argument. This was pushing boundaries, and it wouldn't take an ice cream and a kiss to lure her out of her hiding spot; in this case - her room.
Asra fiddled with his hands, folding them over themselves waiting anxiously for Coquette to come downstairs at least to eat. "He doesn't even have to talk to me." Asra thinks.
But, Coquette stays in her room all day.
Asra, reluctantly has to close up shop for the day, and goes to his own room.
Only when Coquette knows Asra is in his room, she comes out of hers.
The door begs to creak, alerting Asra of of her departure from her room. But she's silent with her movements, moving into the shadows of the hallway when her door does creak and Asra's practically flies open.
"Coquette??" He questions seemingly to thin air. "Look- I know what I did was wrong- it mustve been awful to see your crush with someone else and not even to mention-"
Coquette had walked off before he could listen to him finish.
"He's not my crush." Coquette mutters, stumbling into the kitchen area.
They've been couped up in their room all day, unmoving from the spot on their bed, reading books and practicing old spells to keep themselves occupied.
Realizing that they haven't ate all day, Coquette waited for sundown and Asra to close shop so they could sneak out and make themselves a sandwich or maybe some cereal.
The kitchen lights flick on and Coquette just about jumps out of their skin, the bread that was in her hand dropped to the floor. She frowns, turning to see the person who followed her into the kitchen.
Julian stood there, arms crossed and the same look of shame and puppy dog eyes as earlier.
"Coquette I really want to apologize."
Coquette pulls the bread out of the bread box, and tosses the bread on the floor into the can.
"You have nothing to apologize for."
"But-" Julian looks up from his feet. "Asra and I-"
"I haven't the slightest clue what you're on about." She says slapping two pieces of bread together, covered in mayonnaise. A sad and sloppy ham sandwich.
Coquette snatches it off the counter and walks out of the kitchen, past Julian - and right into Asra.
"Coquette- please we need to talk." Asra looks to Julian behind him. "We all do."
Coquette crossed his arms. "Talk? What do we need to talk about?"
Asra and Julian shared a look.
"We-"
"Coquette-"
Coquette narrowed her eyes and sighed. "I know." She shook her head, taking her sandwich back to her room.
It was obvious that they had gotten back together, or at least have something similar to a relationship.
It was none of Coquette's business why were they telling her?
Coquette sat back in her spot on their bed, finishing her sandwich.
"Coquette, you misunderstand- Asra and I are-"
"Dating. Yes i know, please leave now."
Julian stands in the doorway baffled. "But we-"
"Coquette, we want you to date us."
Time seems to stop for Coquette, maybe the ringing in her ears has finally made her lose her hearing for good, part of her is begging that he didn't say what she thinks was said but she's too embarrassed to ask him to repeat it.
Is that even possible? To date two people at once? But they're also dating each other so that isn't strange. But then again how would life be if she were to accept the offer.
"...Coquette..!" Asra's screaming her name now, snapping her out of her trance. "You don't have to answer us now."
"We just wanted you to know that we like you."
"Romantically, of course." Asra chuckles.
