Nodus Tollens

Summary:

You know, if someone had said that today you would be run over by a car and sent to hell, you probably would have just shrugged and agreed. That would be unlucky but not impossible. But if someone said that your one-way ticket to hell would be one-upped by something more unbelievable minutes later, you probably would just laugh.

You weren't laughing now.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Plot Explanation/Context.

The backdrop of the story is set in a combination of the Transformers Prime and IDW universes. The timeline incorporates elements from both universes, albeit with some creative liberties taken to ensure a cohesive narrative as any transformers fan knows that the timeline is a mess, lol.

The story itself is based on one of my favourite tropes, reincarnation.

I won't spoil much of the details but to understand the story, especially in the beginning a bit of background is needed. The basic theory around this story is that souls reincarnate between Cybertronians and Humans. In this reincarnation theory, all souls originate from the Allspark, a mystical entity that gives birth to life. Initially, souls manifest as Cybertronians. When a Cybertronian dies, their soul reincarnates into a human body, erasing all memories of their previous life. Similarly, when a human dies, their soul is reborn as a Cybertronian.

The initial premise of the story revolves around the dramatic shift in population demographics. During the Great War on Cybertron, the number of deceased Cybertronians far surpassed the human casualties, leading to a rapid increase in the human population. However, as Cybertronian numbers dwindled, the human population declined as well, resulting in a state of imbalance and many human souls stuck in Limbo as Cybertron is dead.

The story opens with "You," experiencing fragmented memories and a sense of familiarity with certain events and individuals from a previous life. 'You' has to try and uncover who 'Amos' was and why they hold significance and triggers memories of past experiences.Through reliving moments from their previous life, encountering familiar individuals, and piecing together fragmented memories, 'You' strives to unravel the mystery surrounding "Amos" and understand the purpose behind their reincarnation cycles.

As the story progresses, "You" grapple with the dual nature of their existence. I hope to explore themes of identity and an individual's choice, and how much your 'memories' actually impact your personality. The intricate relationship between "You" and the enigmatic "Amos" acts as a central thread, guiding the journey of self-realization and potentially unveiling deeper secrets that could impact both the Cybertronian and human worlds.

Also, this story is not Autobot nor Decepticon friendly, both sides are almost as bad as each other during the war. I will admit that at the end of the war, the Autobots are in the right but in the beginning, Megatron had every right to rise against the Cybertronian government/council.
