Mina never intended to oversee anything
But once she had there was no turning back

Chapter Text

Mina never in a million years thought she would be stood watching this, and she had never been more terrified in her life.

———

“I want to quit dance” Mina had said, her face in the dinner she was now very much focusing all of her attention on

From the corner of her eyes she could see her mother staring at her with an almost unreadable expression

“no” her mother snapped

Mina looked up towards the woman with a distant smile

“mum please, I can’t do this anymore. My body is in constant pain I can barely move, I have no friends, no time for any social life or even school, I never wanted to do this In the first place”

her mother's face slowly morphed into disgust

Mina had never enjoyed dancing it was very much forced on her, her mother was under the impression that by sending her to dancing lessons her child would become successful and that would result in her becoming wealthy, the only reason she had a child was for that exact reason, It was always a way of being able to live her dreams through the poor girl.

“You will carry on with your lessons or you’re out, you will pack your stuff and leave!”

mina felt a tear form in her eyes

”your so ungrateful, I have done everything for you, fed you, kept a roof over your head and this is how you want to repay me”

”I just want to live a normal life, please I want to go to school get an education, not continue to face the physical damages of dancing for hours on end, I hate it please don’t make me do this anymore”

Her mother had always put an enormous amount of pressure on her, it was almost debilitating to live with, the only way she was able to achieve validation from her mother was through dance, so she pushed herself again and again just for the tiny amount of love she could grasp

her father was absent most of her life anyway, the man was a top businessman, he was never around. Always out of the country, and when he was around he would be out drinking and sleeping with any woman he could put his hands on.

mina had never experienced any love from either of her parents growing up and as she grew older it became increasingly hard to deal with.

”YOU KNOW WHAT JUST LEAVE, I HAVE PROVIDED YOU WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO LIVE A SUCCESSFUL LIFE. IM DONE YOU UNGRATEFUL BITCH, YOU CANT EVEN FULFILL THE ROLE I MADE YOU FOR”

Her mother had flipped the table, stomping up the stairs into her daughter's room.

Mina ran, graveling up the stairs.

in her room, her mother had retrieved her dance bag full of her training clothes and competition wear. Throwing it at her.

”GET OUT”

Mina was now on her knees begging her mother in all desperation not to do this, to no avail

when her mum grew tired of this she grabbed the poor girl by her wrist, undoubtedly leaving bruises, and dragged her down the stairs.

Mina had hit every single step on the way down.

once they had descended the stairs, her mother threw her into the street,

with a small whimper Mina pulled her head up just in time to see her mother slam the door shut, but not before spitting in her direction

———

The air was crisp, Mina had become numb from the lack of layers she had on, she had no money and nowhere to go.

slowly she made her way down the street, ignoring the pain from the hours of dance she had today and the bruises from the most recent incident with her mother.

Tears poured down her face she was completely and utterly vulnerable to the world.

The city she lived in whilst big, lacked. there really were not many places she could go, especially at this time of night

The only place she could think of to be possibly open was a small food place she would visit after her dance lessons, however, she had no idea when the place would close, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

-----

After finally making her way to the opposite end of the street, she had found to her utter disappointment that the place was long closed.

She sighed to herself, trying to refrain herself from breaking down again.

the next best option she could think of was the alleyway beside the shop.

hesitantly she checked if anyone was there, listening out for any sign of human interaction she was only met with the silence of the city.

the alleyway had a little dead-end path halfway up that descended to the side, Mina decided that this may be the best place to camp for the night unnoticed.

placing her bag on the ground, she gathered cardboard stray from the industrial-sized bins and made herself a makeshift bed. She positioned herself on top of the cardboard with her bag as a makeshift pillow, she was still wearing her leotard and leggings from practice with her favorite knitted cardigan, and whilst this was better than nothing it was very much not suitable for the weather she found herself in.

the best thing she could do now was attempt to gain any rest, However, Mina knew this would be an impossible task, she could find absolutely no comfort in her current setup, but she had to try.

closing her eyes exhausted, she lay shivering in hopes of making the night.

------

There was a loud crash, Mina jolted upright in shock.

cautiously she listened out for more sounds, when she heard what seemed to be voices, she couldn't identify what they were saying, but from what she could make out it was a mad and multiple women arguing.

curious Mina creeps slowly out of her hiding space, leaving her bag behind.

peeping round the wall she could see under the dim lights of the alleyway entrance a man and two women arguing, the women were well put together in black suits meanwhile the man was in cheap jeans and a scruffy jacket you would most probably find in the charity store.

"Im sorry, ill get the payment to you as soon as possible" the man whimpered

"your payment is long overdue, the boss gave you an extra week to collect and deliver it to us, there are no more chances" The woman with long black hair kicked the man over, and the other lady this time with blond hair held the man down with his feet.

The black-haired woman pulled something out of her pocket and pointed it at the man.

*bang*

Mina let out a cry, which was loud enough for the women to hear, they turned their heads around to look at her.

Mina stood there like a deer in headlights, watching as the crimson red puddled around the man, she couldn't run her body stiffened, like she was entering rigor mortise.

The woman with the blonde hair nodded, when all of a sudden Mina had lost sight, something had been placed over her head, she struggled with all her might, however, there was no use, as whoever was holding her was much stronger.

a sharp pain derived her of consciousness, making her limp in the hands of whoever had her.
