Chapter Text
The news of what happened that fall in Woodsboro spread fast. I felt sad for what happened. After 2 years it was history. Nobody in my town even talked about it. The famous “ghostface” costumes were still sold in the local halloween store because my town is a ghost town. Nobody cares unless it’s happening to them.
I made a friend last summer. I met him in the video store, looking at horror movies. He said he was in college with the Randy Meeks. I was almost in awe, him knowing someone who survived Stu Macher and Billy Loomis. Of course, nobody knows if Stu is still alive or not. I actually think he is.
Now Mickey and I are two peas in a pod. He’s definitely my best friend and he claims we’re soulmates. He’s very charming but also a pest, in the best way. I wouldn’t know what to do at this point if I hadn't met Mickey Altieri.
Now it’s another school year. Mickey asked me to join him in college. I decided to, my parents always wanted me to, and I joined his class on film studies. I also joined a class on film making, Mickey always is carrying around a camera.
I was shocked to see that Randy was also in this class and this year Sidney Prescott was in this exact college. I’m glad she’s doing okay. Her and Randy seem to still be friends and she’s dating a guy named Derek. “King College” as Mickey calls him. “He’s gonna be a doctor. Can you believe that?” Mickey once mocked him.
Right now I was sitting in film studies class with Mickey. Everyone was debating which sequel was the best in history. “I’ve got it. Godfather part 2.” Mickey said while wiggling his eyebrows at me, knowing I honestly prefer the first one. I looked up and saw Sideny at the door, motioning for Randy. Mickey smirked at me and as soon as the bell rang, he grabbed my hand and took me in a speed walk.
“I know why she’s here. There was a double murder last night at a Stab premiere. Isn't that something!” Mickey almost grinned ear to ear.
“And this excites you, why?” I asked. I couldn’t help but laugh at my very strange friend.
“It would make a great sequel. Poor Sidney yeah whatever but maybe there’s a copycat. Ooh better be on the lookout.” Mickey winked at me and I playfully rolled my eyes.
“Please Mickey, you are like my guard dog, nobody is getting through you.”
Mickey smiled even more, his stupid smile forming into a smirk. “I am glad you think so highly of me.”
“Yes. You are god.” I said sarcastically.
Mickey laughed and pulled me closer into his side, his arm around my waist. I can’t explain it but I've always felt a sense of safety with mickey. He is definitely my comfort person, even if he gets a little too excited with all this Stab and Sidney talk.
