Work Text:

Kaveh doesn’t know wether the ruthless words Alhaitham spouted at him were true, or were just a bluff like usual. All he could do was just stare at the packed suitcase, and his architectural sketches tucked nicely in a yellow folder he had had bought for himself, and his ex-roommate, but alhaithams was green just like the dendro vision he wore on his right arm.

Picking up last of his belongings and making a leave through the front door was tough, looking at all of the designs and Polaroids
that held memories of their time together. Kaveh couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness and nostalgia wash over him. Each photo on the wall, each trinket on the shelf, they all told a story of their friendship, a story that felt like it was slipping away.

As Kaveh stood in the doorway, his hand lingering on the doorknob, he took one last look around the apartment they had once shared. It had been their sanctuary, a place where they could be themselves, where their dreams and aspirations intertwined. But now, it was just an empty space, devoid of their laughter and companionship.

A mixture of uncertainty and determination filled Kaveh's heart. He didn't know what the future held, whether Alhaitham's words were a true reflection of his feelings or simply a result of the annoyance, and straightforwardness that had consumed him. But he couldn't let their friendship fade away without a fight.

With a heavy sigh, Kaveh closed the door behind him, leaving the familiar apartment behind. He carried his suitcase and the yellow folder containing his architectural sketches, a testament to his dreams and aspirations. Each step he took felt like a leap into the unknown, but he refused to let fear hold him back.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months as Kaveh took residency in Amurata village, silently sketching a newer design that would go unappreciated by the commissioners again. Picking up his suitcase, and opening the front door to have another drink in Lambads tavern to suffocate the exhaustion and tears threatening to drop as his mind did a small recap at the fight he had with his lover.

As fate would have it, their paths crossed once again, unexpectedly, at the tavern if Kaveh was honest with himself it felt like a confidence boost seeing Alhaitham disheveled talking to Cyno about some topic that doesn’t, and will never concern him. Eye contact was made in a short time, of course Alhaitham broke it first to talk to Cyno as Kaveh ordered a glass of wine.

It was like as if he could feel eyes burning through his skull, obviously knowing who’s staring at him in such a way as if he was a one of a kind researched topic given to the hands of the akademiya. Cyno takes his leave as Alhaitham stands up to pay the bill and unsurprisingly walks over to kaveh with a small frown tugging his lips.

Kaveh's heart skipped a beat as Alhaitham approached him. The mixture of emotions he had been wrestling with since their fallout resurfaced, leaving him unsure of how to react. Would Alhaitham apologize? Or was he here to deliver another round of ruthless words?
Alhaitham cleared his throat, a nervousness evident in his voice. "Kaveh," he began, his eyes flickering between Kaveh's face and the floor. "I... I wanted to talk to you."
Kaveh took a sip of his wine, trying to steady his nerves. He gestured toward an empty chair across from him. "Go ahead," he said, his voice tinged with caution.

Alhaitham sat down, his expression a mixture of remorse and regret. "I've been doing a lot of thinking since... well, since we parted ways," he said, his voice softer now. "And I realize now how much I've taken our relationship for granted. The things I said to you were out of line, and I didn't mean any of it."

Kaveh could feel tears stinging in his eyes as he gave the needed mora and tried walking out of the tavern, while Alhaitham followed.

The moonlight shone on each others faces as alhaitham heard his jewel weep because of the memory he has embedded in the blondes head. The blonde hugs him then smacks him in the back of the head as he grunts “if you ever pull anything like that I’m never coming back for good” as he places a light peck on the ashnettes lips “expect me to come by tomorrow as he winks and walks away back to the village leaving alhaitham blushing and smiling like a mad man.
