The first thing that Shinri heard early in the morning was movement in his room. It was soft, as though whoever was present didn’t want to wake him up. However, he didn’t hear any footsteps. Just a clinking sound and the sound of moving liquid.
The next thing he heard was the blinds being raised. As the morning light hits his face, he raised a hand to block it. Well, if he’s gonna be awake, he might as well find out who came into his room. As he sat up, he was surprised by a confetti popper going off with a small chorus of “ Happy Birthday Shinri! ”
Opening his eyes, he was surprised to see his Koipanions floating in his room. Every one of them had something in their fins, but it was obvious that they were all here to celebrate his birthday. And judging by how early it was, they wanted to be the first to give their well wishes.
Shinri can’t help the tears welling up in his eyes as each Koi excitedly presented their gift to him. The day had just started, but he can already tell this birthday is going to be better than all the previous ones.
Even if the other bois are screaming outside his room asking him to explain why is the hallway super wet.
“Lien, how is progress on the Koipedia?”
“Asdkjghaskl I’M WORKING ON IT!”
