Katsuki hated rain, for no real reason, it was just one of those things that really pissed her off.
So when she learned it was going to rain after school, she already knew how her mood was going to be for the rest of the day.
That being said, when she saw all the other kids run out as fast as they could to their homes, her superiority complex kicked in, "Ha, fucking weaklings, running for their lives over a little rain, with their raincoats and umbrellas, I'll show them how it's done, gonna walk home without an umbrella and without a raincoat" she smirked as she felt the rain begin tofall on her
5 minutes in, and the the rain turned into a powerful storm.
"..... I've made a terrible mistake" she said as she began to speed up towards her home, but she knew it was far, and the strong winds weren't helping.
Meanwhile, a young sea green haired boy named Asui Tsuyu was enjoying his time in the rain, it was always something that soothed him, though he always had an umbrella with him just in case it became too much, just like it was now.
He spotted Katsuki struggling to make it through the rain, he had a chuckle at this and shook his head, thinking "She probably got too confident and thought she could handle this type of weather by herself, that's so like her"
He approached her, "Hi, Bakugou chan!" he said smiling
"You! The fuck are you doing here?" she yelled
"I could ask you the same thing, you should be home by now, kero" he replied, "Need some help?" he pointed to his umbrella
"No!" she quickly barked back, Katsuki hated this type of shi "that umbrella's too small anyway! it only works with you because you're fucking short!" she said
"That's not nice, come on Bakugou chan, you'll catch a cold or something" he insisted, letting her insult slide because she was clearly under a lot of stress.
"Tch, fine. Let me hold the umbrella, shorty" she said rudely.
"Very funny Bakugou chan, it's not my fault I'm short... it's just how I was made" he laughed
"Tch, this umbrella is too small, we both barely fucking fit" Katsuki protested
"Then... I guess we'll have to.... Can I? kero" He asked
"Can you what?" she asked, suspicious as to what he wanted to do
"This" held onto her arm, making her blush a little and left her mouth open in shock "If we stay close together we'll both fit just fine" he said happily.
'He's lucky I know how innocent he is, I would've blasted his fucking ass into smithereens' she said in her head, if it was any other guy, they would be dead by now, but for some reason Katsuki was much more tolerant to whatever Tsuyu did than other guys.
She didn't fully know why, but ever since they met Katsuki took some sort of tolerance towards him, he was friendly, kind, smart, and humble, unlike a lot of the other UA boys who were usually cocky, dumb as shit, and rude. She herself was all of those things to certain extent, but hey, it's only cool when she does it, ok?
"O-ok, but just saying, I'm trying to get home as soon as possible, so I'm going to run, Better hold on" she said as began to get ready to blast off.
"Got it" he smiled
And they were off, Bakugou boosted herself with her explosions, all the while Tsuyu was holding on, the boy was so light that Bakugou could barely feel him hanging on her arm while she was running, she turned around to look at him, and he just gave her a warm smile, she turned around to hide her blush, something about that boy always made her feel this way.
"He's so damn small and cute.... Fuck!" she said in her head.
It was true, Katsuki thought Tsuyu Asui was fucking adorable, it surprised even her, she always thought amphibians were fucking gross. Slimy, strange creatures that weren't cool looking at all like Snakes and Sharks and shit, Katsuki was a fan of those, not boring and ugly frogs. But Tsuyu hit a perfect sweet spot inside her heart, he certainly did look like a frog, but in the best way possible, and his rather small stature made him even cuter in her eyes.
They made it to her place in very little time, around 7 minutes, Tsuyu let go of Katsuki's arm and smiled, saying "that was fun wasn't it Bakugou chan? We should do stuff like that more"
"Yeah, that wasn't too bad, you're very fucking light, I had to look back every couple seconds to make sure you were still holding on, cuz I honestly couldn't tell the difference" She laughed
"Well, I'll be in my way home now, see you later Balugou Chan!" Tsuyu began to walk off into the rain
"See ya" She said, a genuine smile on her face
She entered her house, and was greeted by her father, "Hey there Katsuki! May I ask, what's got you in that happy mood?" he said pointing out the fact that Katsuki was still smiling.
"No honey, I think it's more like WHO'S got her in that happy mood" Katsuki's mother Mitsuki said with a big grin on her face.
Katsuki's face immediately flushed red.
"Oh? Did you get a boyfriend Katsuki?" Her father asked
"NO!" She yelled
"You sure? I saw you and that boy arrive, he was clinging onto your arm!" Mitsuki laughed "You both looked so cute!"
"IT'S NOT LIKE THAT OLD HAG" She growled
"When can we meet him? He seemed very sweet" Mitsuki teased
"HES. NOT. MY BOYFRIEND!" She said very angrily
"Ok, calm down Katsuki, we were just curious, even if he's not your boyfriend, it's nice to see you make new friends" Masaru said trying to defuse Katsuki
Katsuki didn't respond, she simply retreaded into her room embarrassed.

The teasing back home didn't stop Katsuki and Tsuyu from becoming closer, following that little rain instance the 2 became more friendly towards the other, Katsuki also became better at controlling herself when she was around him, no longer blushing or being shy when he was around.
The 2 could be considered real friends now, they would hang out after school, they loved to race to Bakugou's home, although Bakugou hated her mother always giving her that look whenever they would arrive. They loved to spar, despite Tsuyu's appearance, the boy was a skilled fighter, and sometimes would even gain the upper hand on Katsuki, something that would usually bother her if it was someone else, but with Tsuyu she just felt happy that her new friend was becoming stronger.
"You're not afraid that one day she'll get really mad and blow one of your fingers off or something? you know how much of a sore loser she is" asked Kirishima at the boys lunch table
Tsuyu did his classic finger to mouth pose, and replied "Not really, kero, me and Bakugou chan are friends, I know she wouldn't do something like that"
"Be careful, Asui san" Said Izuku Midoriya who was sitting next to Tsuyu, "When she gets mad, Kacchan can't control her anger, and all bets are off at that point" He shivered.
In the girls table, Katsuki tried eating in peace, but her pesky classmates kept asking her questions
"Katsuki chan! What's up with you and Tsuyu San?"
"Is he your boyfriend?"
"I see you 2 hang out a lot! hehe!"
"SHUT YER FUCKING MOUTHS!!" She finally yelled, fed up with all the questions "This is none of your damn business, leave me the fuck alone" she went back to eating her food.
"Aww It's ok Katsuki chan! You don't have to keep secrets from us! just tell us, how long have you 2 been together for" Asked Mina excitedly, she loved romance so much, and was just now imagining how cute Katsuki and Tsuyu must be together.
"Raccoon eyes, if you don't shut the fuck I swear I will beat you up until you look like a puddle of Pepto Bismol." She threatened.
"But, Bakugou San, if you two aren't dating.... then what are you?" Asked Uraraka a little scared
She shrugged, "Friends I guess" she said, though in her mind the I guess part wasn't included, she knew that they were friends, but she'd never admit it.
"Fuck you looking at me like that, Cheeks? You and shitty Deku give off WAY more of a couple vibe than me and the frog, and I don't see y'all say shit" Katsuki accused.
Ochako blushed hard, and the other girls went 'ooohh' and nodded in agreement, only embarrassing poor Ochako even more, Katsuki laughed in victory.
"But the thing is, Midoriya and Ochako are naturally friendly to everyone, and have been friends since meeting each other, you and Asui weren't friendly at all until recently, not to mention you being friends with ANYONE is unlike you, if any of us here did the things Asui did with you..."
"I'd kill you" Katsuki quickly cut Jirou off
"Exactly" sighed Jirou
Mina opened her mouth to speak
"Pepto Bismol. Raccoon Eyes." Katsuki growled
"Ok! ok, I'll just say... You gotta admit you 2 are good for each other, your personalities balance each other out perfectly, you're like 2 pieces of a puzzle!!" she cheered
Katsuki just let that slide, she was right, she'd never say it of course, but her saying that they were good for each other made her feel.... happy.
"I wonder why" she pondered in her mind

"Dummy, you have a crush" Mitsuki Bakugou told her daughter
"....." Katsuki didn't know what to say, she had sucked up all her pride and had a talk with her mother about her feelings on Tsuyu, and this was the only thing her mother told her back. Eventually she spoke, "... You think so?"
"Come on Katsuki you can't be this silly" her mother facepalmed, angering Katsuki "You've told me that you think about him a lot, you like spending time with him, you're different around him, and that he's the only person you let get away with shit like hugging you, also you blush a lot when you talk about him to us..." her mother laughed "there's another thing! you talk about him all the time to us, way more than your other classmates, we hardly know their names"
".... I guess you're right... What should I do?" Katsuki asked genuinely confused as to what she should do next. Then she remembered who she was asking this to. "Wait, nevermind, your methods of attracting men are dogshit"
"Hey! be grateful shitty brat! my methods resulted in you being born!" Her mother growled back
"You basically bullied dad until he gave in! I'll do shit my way!" Katsuki declared heading out of her room
"Yeah right, you'll be lucky if you don't scare the boy off!" Mitsuki shouted.

Now that Bakugou had determined that she indeed had feelings for Asui Tsuyu, she now wanted him as her boyfriend, she still wasn't fully sure what that meant, but she'd cross that bridge when she got to it.
All she knew is that now she just needed to make sure that he'd be down to date her, so they began spending more time together, more walking together, more racing, more sparring, they even would find places to just chill out by, like building tops and forests.
During one of their hangouts in the forest, a thunderstorm once again happened, but this wouldn't stop them from spending time together, so they decided to wait it out in a nearby cave.
"Oi, frog man" Katsuki, getting Tsuyu's attention
"What is it? kero" he asked
She blushed a little but covered her face a little with her shirt, "What do you think... Of me?" she asked, she needed to know, it was viral information for her goal.
"Oh, umm...." he put his finger up to his mouth "Well, you're certainly intense, very fierce and at times scary, but at the same time, I can tell you've got a good heart. You may not realize it but you do seem to get better every day, you've become nicer and more social, though you still maintain that angry side, and I kinda like that, I think it's entertaining, kero" he smiled brightly at her, then pointed outside. "You're kinda like this thunderstorm, fierce, potent, but at the same time very intriguing and awesome... But overall, you're a great friend, Bakugou chan"
Bakugou, felt like she was about to explode, but not out of anger like many times in the past, this time out of happiness, she had never been told such things in her life, and the fact that it was coming from her crush made her feel very happy. But Katsuki still had to keep up the facade, she still had to make sure she didn't make it too obvious, so she was thinking of that to say back to him.
"You know frog man, I like spending time with you, you're a good friend" she smiled 'Fuck! that sucked' she said in her head.
Tsuyu just laughed, "I think that's the most praise I've ever seen you give to anyone, I'm honored, kero"
Katsuki laughed too, simply saying, "Shut up"

"When's the wedding?" Mina asked excitedly
"The hell are you talking about?" Katsuki asked annoyed
"Come on Katsuki chan! I know you said you were just friends, but you have to come clean, you 2 are WAY too close to be just friends, so just tell me!" Mina cheered
"Shut the hell up"
"You can't fool me Katsuki chan! I'm the love expert!"
"The love expert that can't find any love" she said with a grin
That seemed to anger Mina, "Ok then, you leave me no choice, if you've got any honor, you'll tell me what's up with you two if I tell you that... Me and Kirishima are together" she confessed
Katsuki blinked twice 'did this idiot think that was gonna work?' she thought "The fuck? since when?" she asked
"For a while now, see? I'm not scared to tell someone that, are you too scared?" she said nudging her eyebrows and smiling.
That seemed to do the trick, Katsuki became angry at her implying that she was scared "You fucking idiot! I'm not scared of anything! Fucking watch this shit!" She began marching off in search of Tsuyu.
"Ooohh this is gonna be good" Mina said excitedly
Katsuki walked all around the school in search of him, She didn't give a damn that she was doing it based on a challenge of sorts, she felt ready to tell Tsuyu how she felt, and was confident that he'd feel the same.
She eventually did spot him, but what she saw DID scare her, at least a little bit
Tsuyu was talking with someone, a girl, and they seemed to be getting along quite well.
"I have 3 Options, #1 Kill that girl, #2 Run away like a little bitch, Or #3 fucking pull him away and tell him.... I really want to do #1 right now, but I'll just do #3." She said grinning
"Oi! Frog!" she yelled.
"Oh! Bakugou chan! Hi, kero" He waved at her with a smile
"Get your ass over here" she grabbed his arm and dragged him away to a part where not many people could see them.
"What is it? Bakugou chan?" he asked.
"I... I need to fucking tell you something" she began to blush a little
"Oh? What is it?" he asked genuinely curious
"Look... over these past few weeks we've been spending a lot of time together, and over that period of time..... I came to the conclusion that.... I...." she began to feel herself choking on her own words, but she pulled through "I like you a lot.... I want you.... to be my boyfriend!" she finally confessed
Tsuyu's eyes widened and he blushed hard, "B- Bakugou chan!" he exclaimed
"I know I'm not the easiest person to deal with, and I may not be your type, but I think you'd be perfect for me......" she looked down "..... you bring out a side of me that not many people can bring out....... and I feel like I need someone like you in my life, If you don't feel the same, I understand......" she began to frown at the lack of response from Tsuyu, she began to accept defeat until
"Bakugou chan, look at me" he said
She did just that, only to be met by that smile that had stolen her heart.
"I've been feeling the same for a while now, I think you're an amazing person..." His blushing was getting heavier and heavier "and I'd gladly be your boyfriend" he grabbed her hands.
Katsuki felt very emotional, to say she was happy was an understatement, she even began to let out a goofy ass giggle, it was a little embarrassing, she didn't care, she hugged Tsuyu tightly, Tsuyu hugged back let out a happy croak.
"Want to go get some food?" he asked her.
"Hell yeah!" she replied
It's almost as if nothing had really changed, their usual friendship routines stayed the same, it's just that now the 2 of them would acknowledge the feelings they had.
As they walked out of the school, Katsuki saw Mina looking at them happily, she simply gave her a thumbs up.
'that fucking bitch, did she hear us? She is SO dead!' Katsuki said in her head.
As they exited, they noticed it was raining, but the rain was light, and the 2 of them had grown to like the rain now, they laughed as they walked in it, holding hands.
And so a new relationship blossomed in UA, the unlikely couple of the calm friendly Tsuyu and the loud and mean Katsuki became the talk of the school the following day, but neither of them cared, they were happy, and that's all that mattered.
