Panville Drabble #1

Summary:

This is this first piece of work I've ever posted, it was a small drabble I wrote about Neville and Pansy.

Characters belong JK Rowling, they are not my own.

Work Text:

Pansy watched him with intense curiosity as he tended the gardens of the herbology greenhouse. She had found herself on this same bench just outside everyday this week.

She had stumbled upon him after hearing the cry of Mandrake plants and had found him shirtless and sweating moving plants back and forth from different pots.

As she watched him today she couldn't help but let her mind wonder. Had he grown over the summer break? Where did these new muscles come from? Did he own a shirt? All of these questions suddenly made her feel hot and a bit flustered.

Get it together Parkinson, we do not think about Gryffindors.. especially not Gryffindors named Neville Longbottom who are currently heading this way.

"Where is my wand?", she said as she fumbled through her book bag in hopes of finding it to cast a cooling charm on herself.

"Looking for this?", said a deep male voice from infront of her.

Oh gods.

As Pansy looked up through her lashes she tried to ignore just how insanely good looking he was as he smiled and extended his hand to her.

"I saw it roll off the bench as I was heading back up to the castle, lucky timing I would say?"

Gods I hope he didn't just see me squeeze my knees together. Where did that voice come from?

"Lucky, indeed", she purred.

Huh! Parkinson don't be nice to him.

She quickly snatched her wand out of his hand and placed it back into her book bag. Neville just gave her a small shrug and turned away with a small smirk and began his trek back up to the castle.

Pansy watched him walk away a bit perturbed that her body was reacting to him so much; she felt like she should follow him, it would look casual because she too needed to head back into the castle….right?

She quickly gathers her things and starts up the path behind him, but in trying to be overly casual Pansy trips and falls into his bare, sweaty back.

Bloody hell Parkinson.

"Oy! Pansy are you alright?", he says with concern written all over his face.

She quickly jolts upright and readjusts her shirt and flattens down her hair; embarrassed to all hell now she quickly takes a step back and looks him straight in the face.

"Longbottom!"

He blushes slightly at the use of his name. "Yeah".

"Do me a favour".

"Sure! Tell me what you need". He's smiling brightly now at her and she can feel her knees wobbling a bit.

"Put on a damn shirt, will you".

He huffs a laugh as she quickly storms away.
