Chapter Text
I see him from across the room. The strong muscles and big body of my friend are too distracting for me to look away. I look back at his liquor, and I think about how long it's been since I've last seen him. The guy across the room catches his eye and looks up. "Piers?" He says and I suddenly snap out of my trance.
"Chris." I say. I take a moment. It's been a year without any communication, only for me to find him in a bar in the middle of nowhere. Looking in his lost eyes, I wonder why we were separated. I've been so lost without him. "Hell, I couldn't even tell him about it." I say without realizing. Oops.
"What are you on about?" He slurs his question.
"Nothing, it's fine." I quickly responded. I can see his head swaying and his eyes droop, it was past midnight. "We should get you home," I say.
"Mmm," he hums back in complete compliance.
-30 minute time skip-
Chris fumbles with the keys to his apartment before Piers reaches his hand over to grab them from him. Click! Opening the door, Piers, with one arm steadying Chris, is led by Chris to his bedroom. Chris climbs onto his queen bed and is quickly out like a light. Piers grins a little before walking out and settling on the couch in the living room.
