Chapter Text
Lawrence woke up as the moon was still up. He checked the clock, 4:16 , it was almost time for Akimitsu to wake up. He wriggled his way out of his grip and got out of bed.
Lawrence groaned as he stretched out his body. He started walking to the restroom and brushed his teeth and showered. After that, he dried his hair and left for the kitchen.

“Quack Quack Quack!” The alarm clock rang as the time hit exactly 4:30.
Akimitsu groaned as he dragged himself out of bed, still half asleep. He takes his towel and heads to the bathroom. He starts with a hot shower, massaging his scalp and cleaning his hair, then brushing his teeth.
When he got out, he decided on wearing something casual to his brother’s office. Akimitsu wears a simple white button-down shirt and black slacks with his off-white coat.
As he slips on his watch, he hears the fire alarm. Running to the kitchen he remembers he has to get the children out. A sense of panic rushes over him as he runs to Michael’s room, being the closest.

Michael has been awake since around 3:15 A.M. and now is playing video games at 6 a.m. with Nikki.
“Mikey, I beat level 4, it’s your turn to kick some bad-guy arse,” Nikki said, calling out to him. But, Michael didn’t respond, still zoned out.
Until he heard a series of three short beeps then a series of three long beeps
That snapped Michael out of his trance and he jumped off his bed and threw Nikki over his shoulder. He opened the window and started to help Nikki out when he heard rushed footsteps coming towards his room.
“Michael! Nikki!” His brother’s husband, Akimitsu, yelled, bursting the door open in a sense of panic. Akimitsu sees Michael helping Nikki out and says, “Oh.”

Shutting the door behind him he starts running to Norman’s room. He opens the door to find that Norman is not there.
“Norman!” Akimitsu cried out as he looked for him.
“In the kitchen, Mum!” Norman responded nonchalantly.
When Akimitsu ran to the kitchen he saw Lawrence holding a pot.
“I was trying to make tea,” Lawrence said hesitantly, not looking at Akimitsu directly. “I may or may not have burnt the water…”
Akimitsu looked at Norman as Norman nodded. A 'Yes, he did burn the water' went unspoken between the two.
Walking towards Lawrence, he said, “How the fuck did you burn the water? Like, it's water, how did you manage to do that?”
“I don’t know. It’s on fire, right now, help.” Lawrence pleaded with a monotone voice and a straight face.
“I need you out of the kitchen, Lawrence.” Akimitsu took the pot outside to the backyard and saw the boys laying in the grass in the early morning sun. “You two can go back inside, the fire has been taken care of.”
“M‘kay, Mom!” Nikki called out dragging Michael back inside through the backdoor. “Let’s play some Mario Kart, later!”
Akimitsu is so done.
