Chapter Text
Blood. Death.
A brown-haired exorcist, he was in a graveyard. I thought it would be safe, since people weren't usually around there. The little boy was no more than 14 years old, sitting on the grave of one of his friends, his last and only friend, Odasaku. He placed a bouquet of flowers on her grave, while tears fell from her cheek, her face was without light, without emotions.
Unexpectedly, an older figure appeared behind him, with orange hair. He could see his fangs, his eyes without a pupil, without even an iris. They were completely blue in color, like a crystalline sea. The little boy wasn't scared when he saw him, he knew he was a bloodsucker, a vampire. He simply watched as the vampire leaned down, to offer his hand.
"Get up."
He could hear whispering, he grabbed his hand and was lifted up, the vampire's long nails brushed the apprentice's cheek, he was still not scared. It was the first time he had seen a vampire, he was willing to offer himself to die and go with his only friend. But the vampire was not seen with those intentions.
"You're too young to wander through a graveyard, kid, may I know your name?"
"Osamu."
"It's a peculiar name. I've never had the chance to hear one like it before, you can call me Chuuya."
The vampire didn't look mean, which made Dazai hesitate. Was it bad or good? In all the legends that I had heard from the books that Odasaku used to write, they were fearsome beasts, who only want to rip your heart out to eat it and transform you into one of them. They had no feelings, they have no thoughts. But this vampire did. Although her eyes don't have the power to show emotions, she could feel them.
"Osamu, wouldn't you like to walk out of this dirty graveyard with me? It's not a place for children as young as you are."
Dazai just nodded. Chuuya made a smile. Chuuya walked to take Dazai to a safer place. This place was dangerous. He took him to the outskirts and to the entrances of a town, Chuuya was not allowed to pass.
"Tomorrow, just as the moon is up, I want you to come back here. Can I trust you to come?"
The boy nodded again, Chuuya just caressed his head, seeing that when doing this movement Dazai closed his eyes and in less than a second, Dazai didn't notice his hand, when he opened his eyes, he had disappeared into the darkness.
"It's so strange. Why would you decide to want to see a child as unfortunate as I am?" – The little boy thought. Not knowing how to find an answer. But hoping to see him again.
