Chapter Text
It started by accident.
One morning after a full moon, Enid brought home an animal. She was sad she killed it, but she didn't want it to go to waste. She wanted to honor their death by putting every part of them to use. And she knew Wednesday would do that. That's just who Wednesday is.
So when she entered her dorm she dropped the deer in front of Wednesday and just said "do whatever you want with this."
Wednesday was surprised but said "I accept, now go take a shower. You must sleep. You've been out all night."
Enid did as she was told and when she woke up the deer was gone. She didn't ask about it because she didn't want to see it again. She brushed her teeth five times to get the blood from her mouth, still getting used to shifting.
As soon as Wednesday noticed Enid was awake she approached her.
"Here. It's a vial of my blood" Wednesday said while handing Enid a necklace.
"Wednesday… why are you giving me a necklace with a vial of your blood on it?" Enid asks, trying not to freak out about how she got her blood into a vial.
"I thought Thing made you familiar with the Addams courting steps. You brought me a kill, so I'm presenting you with my blood. There's a lot of stuff you can do with someone's blood, by giving you mine, I'm trusting you to only do good. It's our way of accepting a courtship. We wear each others blood. There's also a tracking spell we can do with it if ever we truly need."
"Wait. Wends. Did you say courting? Like old time dating?" Now Enid is starting to freak out. She apparently accidentally asked out the woman she's in love with. And she accepted?
"Yes. Courting. Why?"
"No reason... Can you tell me all about the other steps? Thing didn't really tell me." Enid let Wednesday put the necklace on her and then they talked about courting for a while.
She even let Wednesday take her blood.

There's not many steps to courting but one of them is fencing with Wednesday's dad. So Enid has been practicing more and Wednesday loves it.
Enid started sparring more with Bianca in class and Wednesday loves watching Enid almost win. She'll get there eventually.
Another step is a conversation with Wednesday's mom and Grandmama alone. Which probably makes Enid the most nervous. So she's been reading about how to act upper class even though Wednesday has been telling her she can just be herself.
They've been going on walks at night through the cemetery and having afternoon picnics in the field. It's been perfect.
Then one day during fencing, Enid realized she likes Bianca. Is that even possible? Liking 2 people? She loves Wednesday, are these the same feelings? She doesn't know. But she's not going to keep it a secret from Wednesday.

"Wednesday? I need to talk to you." Enid said nervously
"What's wrong mi amor?"
"I love you very much, I have for a long time. I'm telling you this because I don't want to keep it a secret, not to hurt you. Let me finish before you say anything. Anyway, I was fencing with Bianca and I realized that I think I might have feelings for her. But it's just a might! And I love you! So it doesn't change anything. I just didn't want to hide anything from you. I love you so much, I'm so sorry" Enid said the second part quickly trying to get it over with.
"Mi tesoro, is that what you're so stressed about?"
Enid nodded
"Don't worry love, I already know. It's okay. You're more familiar with emotions so I thought you already knew we both like her."
"Wait. You like her too?!"
Wednesday laughed. She actually laughed.
"Yeah, why do you think she joins our picnics occasionally? Do you think I would let just anyone do that?"
"I don't know. You don't have that many close friends" Enid said with a smile
"Okay, very funny. Anyway I'm uncertain on how she feels towards us as of yet. We will find out eventually though."
