Chapter Text
Sometimes self-actualization kicks in, right in the middle of a job. I think to myself, this is the last time, the last body, the last useless fucking life taken from this godforsaken planet, but if never is, it never will be. They always say, a life for a life, but we all know that's complete and utter bullshit, three, four lives taken for the chance to save a pitiful asshole who does not deserve it… but there's just something exhilarating about seeing the life flee from someone's eyes in a matter of seconds. The bullet striking, the blood pooling, and the body going cold.
2:34 am
Fun Ghoul awoke to the sound of a clack at his window, strange as he slept on the second floor. Wearily, he arose from his bed, wiping his eyes, making his way to the window. Fun Ghoul peered out into the dimly lit fall night. As he gazed out into his yard, he saw a figure and ducked back into the room.
“Ghoul, wait,” a mysterious voice yelled with haste. Fun Ghoul ducked his head out of the window again, eyes growing wide and a smile growing on his face. “Holy shit, Party...I... what are you doing?”
“Couldn’t sleep… was just wandering around, thought I’d stop by…” their faded red hair flew in the wind, looking up at Fun Ghoul peering down at them from the window.
“You know, it's freezing out here.” Party quietly shouted as they wrapped their jacket around themself.
“That's my problem, how? You’re such an idiot.” Fun Ghoul laughed softly, walking out of his room and down the stairs quietly. Approaching his front door, he opened it slowly and walked out.
Party Poison was standing in front of him, windblown hair, face red from the wind. Fun Ghoul ushered Party Poison into the house, walking back upstairs, Party tailing close behind. They both enter Fun Ghoul's room. Party Poison flopped down onto Fun Ghoul's bed, making himself comfortable. Fun Ghoul followed, laying down next to him. “Your bed is always so comfortable…” Party Poison grabbed Fun Ghoul's hand and traced his palm, drawing small circles and hearts. “I Missed you. New hair?” Party Poison said, raising their hand and tucking some of Fun Ghoul's hair behind his ear. “Cute. It suits you.”
“God, I've missed you so much-’’ Party Poison cut off Fun Ghoul sharply, taking his face into their hands. “Listen, you need to listen. They're back- “
Suddenly a loud Crack, startled Fun Ghoul awake. Turning over to look at the space in the bed next to him as if he was in a panic, empty. “Fuck.” Fun Ghoul groaned. Pulling the blankets away from him, the cold air hitting him as he got out of bed. Grabbing his phone and a pack of cigarettes set next to him on his nightstand. Quickly shoving both into his pants pocket and grabbing his jacket before shuffling downstairs. Fun Ghoul slid on his shoes and made his way outside, his hair soaked from the freezing rain before he had the chance to even pull his hood on. Ghoul wandered down a sparse, dirt covered road, the rain beating down onto his back. Soon he entered a small, gated area, covered by what looked to be a small canopy. Ghoul kneeled in front of a small tombstone, in front of it laid an assortment of flowers, gifts, and various other items. Fun Ghouls reached a shaky hand out, his fingers tracing the name engraved on the front. Suddenly a flood of tears rushed him, now uncontrollably falling down his face, dropping onto the dirt patch under him. He pulled his hand away, gently, almost in fear of damaging something, one of the few things he had left of party. His vision now cloudy from the tears lingering, yet his eyes never drifted from the tombstone, despite that his mind wandered off to memories he had shared with them. Memories of the smallest things, or as some would say insignificant moments, they had experienced together. They stuck with him, invading even the smallest parts of his mind, and for a split second bringing him joy.
