early mornings hadn’t been your thing. that was before Poe. waking up beside him always seem to do anything coffee would have. you watched him as he slept, you propped up on your elbow with his arms around your waist.
his messy curls were hidden under the blanket, the only sign of him being there was the slow rising and falling of his chest.
“Poe, baby..” you nudge. trying to wake him from his sleep and when he looked so peaceful was tough. “Poe, wake up.” you nudged again. he let out a gasp, and looked at you, pulling the covers from his face.
“good morning sweetheart..” he said sleepily. Poe stretched his arms out then pulled you closer. his arms grew tighter around your waist. if you could stay like this, him cuddling with you forever, you would.

at the table, Poe drank his coffee in an attempt to prepare him for the day ahead. he made you toast after changing into a pair of basketball shorts and a loose t-shirt.
“so, what was on your mind sweetheart?” Poe said setting his coffee down. you inhaled deeply, and grabbed his hand.
“well..i was thinking..we should move in.. together..” you said. Poe gave you a soft smile. “why not? yeah, sure.. would you be moving into here? i mean you already are, but ..” he grinned. it wasn’t a lie. you had your own clothes, toothbrush, and basically everything else at Poe’s apartment.
“Poe?”
“hm?” he hummed.
“i love you.”
“i love you too, sweetheart.”
