Work Text:
Being hesitant was completely foreign to him, but here he was. He couldn't go out into the stores to buy what he was curious about lest he end up on the front page of the gossip magazines. Instead, he had approached Charles in a way that had the man worried that he had done something heinous. It took the manager a little to get him to ask a question in a roundabout way.
Ordering some sex toys without anyone knowing who had ordered nor anyone knowing what was ordered.
At least, he didn't outright say that he wanted to buy some sex toys. Only that he was interested in purchasing something secretive. Pestering Charles enough that the man had scribbled down a name and address to have an order shipped to. He had seen the look of doubt cross Charles' when he seemed just a little too eager in getting the paper. Snatching the paper with rare words of gratitude, William folded the paper and shoved it into a pocket.
Making a beeline for the door, he paused at Charles' voice
"Don't order anything that would cause an explosion, your hands and fingers are insured."
He… hadn't thought of that, but not right now. A wave of his hand was his answer with a brief "I won't".
He had gathered enough courage to browse a few websites, overwhelmed with the selection. He didn't acknowledge the thudding of his heart in his chest. Didn't acknowledge the idea of the toys being used on him nor the faceless person who he had thought about. Fishing out the paper from his pocket and the name that Charles had written down.
His first name with a rather boring last name, nothing that could tie to his actual name. Typing out the address, he could barely contain a grin as he pressed the button.
