This series is set in the Rosdan nation in a fictional fantasy land. It's a pseudo- a-historical fantasy amalgam of the Kyivan Rus/Ancient Greece/Ancient Rome/Byzantine Empire/Ottoman Empire/General Fantasy Setting. There are currently two other neighboring nations: Elyria and Hayskiye but I might add more.
The religion of the region is duo-theistic, revolving around worship of the Father God Damon and the Mother Goddess Serafima. Damon is the god of the Sun/Masculinity. and Serafima is the goddess of the Moon/Femininity. There is a third deity, only called Chaos, who is a mysterious deity whose adherents believe in Discordism. He is similar to Lucifer/Satan in the duo-theist mainstream and is considered a powerful villainous deity only controlled by adhering to the strict duo-theist hierarchy.
Chaos created the Earth and two humans, because he was bored and wanted entertainment. They are Damon and Serafima. There was no sky, and they lived in pitch black. The two loved each other but could only communicate via voice, since it was so dark they couldn't see each other and actually meet. So Damon created the golden Sun, so he could see Serafima. The world grew too hot however, so shot down the sun so it could not hurt Serafima, dying in the process. She was heartbroken and found the fallen and now silver Sun, the symbol of Damon's love, and cast it back into the heavens, where it became the moon. She then wept, and her tears became the stars. Her suffering was so strong, so potent, that from her love she resurrected Damon. He created another sun for her, to keep her heart warm, and that was how the Sky was created.
Chaos hated their love and order, and tried to destroy them, but could not harm them directly as he was tied down to the underworld underneath the Earth while Damon and Serafima had ascended to the Heavens. Chaos causes them suffering by causing discord and sin amongst the humans, who are their descendants. Every few generations, two babies are born the incarnations of Damon and Serafima and protect humanity with their love. Their upbringing is highly ritualized and many regions have different beliefs on who are the incarnations with different groups having different heralds and harbingers of who are the incarnations. There is a mainstream church which will investigate claims and pick who they believe.
Rosdan is currently ruled mostly by the warlord Kasimir. He took over most of the region from the former Elyrene rulers. He rules from the ancient Ros' Palace, though is often at war capturing territory etc.
Werewolves exist. Haven't thought much about them yet but they'll definitely show up. Other fantasy species might also show up.

CHARACTERS:
Sasha
- Sasha is an incarnation of Serafima, born on an eclipse on the Winter Solstice. He has white hair, pale skin and lunar-gray eyes. He has been recognized as Serafima from birth. He is technically named 'Serafim', but until he is married the name is too sacred so he is called 'Sasha' instead. His mother, Agatha Alexandros ('Agafya Alexandrova' in Rosskyy), was a princess of the Elyrenes whose land was captured by Kasimir. She was brought into his harem and was dead in childbirth within the year. Her father, Alexander of Elyria, is kept imprisoned by Kasimir as a humiliation tactic. Sasha is named for his grandfather Alexander, a direct insult since he's getting ritually sexually abused.
Kazimir Konstaninovich
- Warlord of the continent, slowly taking over land. Was inspired as a young man to take back the region from the oppressive Elyrene rulers. Highly revered by his men, and his having begotten Sasha is considered proof of his Holiness and gave him a mandate of heaven so to speak. Loves Sasha, but not as a father should.

Pavel 'Pasha' Konstantinovich
- second brother of Kazimir.
Vladimir 'Vadim' Konstantinovich
- third brother of Kazimir. Called Mad Dog Vadim for his cruelty. Got bitten by a werewolf but killed the werewolf while he was getting bit so he's a half-way werewolf.
Grigoriy 'Grisha' Konstantinovich
- fourth brother of Kazimir. Royal advisor/vizier.
Mikhail 'Misha' Konstantinovich
- fifth and youngest brother of Kazimir.

Tsaraevich Konstantin Kazimirovich
- Kazimir's eldest son, heir to the empire.
Boris Kazimirovich
- Kazimir's second son, called Boris the Black Wolf because he's a werewolf with a black coat and whoeever nicknamed him was unimaginative. Major commander in his father's armies.
Ruslan and Timur
- Kazimir's twin sons. Warriors.
Vasilisa, Weronika, Xenia, etc...
- Various daughters. Might show up but don't expect anything.
Harem:
Tsarina Isidora
- Queen Mother. She is Kazimir's mother and the head of the harem in the Ottoman Valide Sultan. Widow of Konstantin Pavlovich, Kazimir's father.
Tsaritsa Aferdita
- Kazimir's first wife, devotee of Lord Damon, and mother of Konstantin. Will take over the harem when either Olga or Kazimir dies, whichever comes first.
Lady Vigdis Igorssdottir
- Concubine of Kazimir, mother of Boris. Won by Kazimir in war, a lowly peasant now the mother of a prince.
Queen Zaynab-Qamar of Harkssdan
- Hayskiye noblewoman and Kazimir's second wife, mother of Ruslan and Timur. Secured peace for her people, at the cost of becoming a vassal state of Rosdan. Devotee of Lady Seraphina.
Princess Agafya
- Elyrene noblewoman and concubine won in war, deceased. Mother of Sasha. About 17 when she died. Revered in certain Elyriane-speaking peasants of Rosdan.
